@WhatsAYak Without a doubt these are great memories, WhatsAYak. Judge Wapner was quiet, calm and quite good as a judge, whereas today's court...don't get me wrong, I like Judge Milian, but it can get a little loud at times.
And towards the theme song, I agree that it's great. If I'm not mistaken, I think it was composed by Alan Tew.
@MasterWeb1987 - Indeed it was...it's called "The Big One", and the full 4:00+ version can be found elsewhere on YT...interesting to see how the various parts of the theme were used for different segments on the show!
@J3ANP3T3R Harvey Levin didn't start hosting until the show was revived in 1997. He did, however, appear occasionally on the original version to deliver commentary on Judge Wapner's decisions, generally when an episode wrapped up a few minutes early.
Judge Wapner saw right through her, trying to get some money for that Mickey Mouse clock not working.....then, Ta-Da, Wapner got it going and put that woman in her place. lol
The music they were using as, for and after music was much better back in time (many years ago) than the crappy music they have today. Anyway all kind of music was better many years ago than it is today. Starting from the 1950 to around1990. The 1960 period was the best, and it goes for nearly all kind of music. There was a lot of good film-music created in the 1930/40s (in fact the best), i dont think i have to mention some of the best songwriters from that time, it speaks for itself.
@globe255 - I agree..."The Big One" was a much better theme, more so if you ever get to hear the full 4-min. version, which can be found elsewhere on YT.
This stuff is great! A judge show from a kinder, gentler time. The MM clock is probably worth something on Ebay by now! Also, whatever happened to Doug Llewelyn ?
Oh man, Rescue 911, i remember that show. lol I used to love to hear the voice over guy at the end of those shows back then. God, how i miss the 80's dearly. The 2000's is all about those reality shows...sucks, sucks, sucks to live in now days' time. Why can't it be the 80's all over again? lol
@pooka5472 The early 90's were a glut of talk shows. Maury, Montel, Springer, Oprah, etc. Rescue 911 was one of thsoe sweet shows that people had the alternative to watch.
Something tells me the defendant lost the instruction booklet on that clock if there was one, since she didn't know how to open it. But, I don't understand why she'd want to file a counterclaim with that
@mtiller2006 That's true she probably lost the instructions but the other part of her countersuit was for cleaning the room which seems almost as crazy. I did find it hilarious that a 30 or 40 something person couldn't open the back of the clock but an older judge could.
Ah, memories...Judge Wapner, Doug Llewelyn, the teletype sound that accompanied the onscreen graphics, and let us not forget that GREAT theme song!

@001GenLee Well the 1960s and 70s was some of the best periods when talking about creative things like music/film etc.
