you use the lightning effect, i did a video in this program, its very easy. well... it takes a long time to do, mine took 9 hours, but its just taking the branching and stuff out of the lightning and other stuff

its easy actually, when you add the lightning effect to the video click edit effect box in the bottom left corner where it shows the efects, and edit it, very simple

I used to do this by exporting the video into frame by frame images and editing them using photo software. THe best program to do this easily (best u can get for free as far as i know) is LSmaker. Look it up, be carfeul its the right program tho.
