I have never, EVER watched a study guide video done as well as yours. LET ALONE it being by another IB student! Your channel is golden! Thank you SO much for your advice; I feel so much better knowing that if I ever have a "bad IB day" I can just go home and watch your channel to give me the motivation to persevere!
for science students: if there's any processes and/or pathways you're struggling with, youtube is a huge life saver. i've had so many metabolic pathways and signalling cascades explained to me PERFECTLY by youtube videos.
I absolutely hate english lit and lang with a passion as i do not have that "natural" skill. However, i do really want to do well in the exams, and I am finding it increasingly difficult revise and improve. HELP?
@allthehoney The International Baccularette. Basically schools from across the country can do this. Its like A-levels, but you do about 6 subjects and maths is compulsory. You have points instead of grades like A or B.
this is great advice. especially the itunes u downloadables! this year's IB is just around the corner and the two year constant work is kind of wearing me out a little. this has, ironically, given me motivation :) thanks!
i really recommend the website getrevising (just type it into google) its actually so useful rather than buying revision guides or thats atleast what i found - its really helped me!
basically people upload all their revision files and you can download them and use them for help!
this was helpful, thanks. I love how you can listen to lectures on itunes! thanks for sharing that! Are there any that you can recommend? I'm only doing GCSEs right now but I find them really interesting. Any art or english-realted ones that are any good? :)
Lou, your commitment to your education is really inspiring! I'm only in high school, but every year I feel like I'm becoming more and more of a slacker with my school work. Every time you make a video concerning academics it inspires me to get back on track!
I was on thestudentroom when I randomly clicked on a thread only to see it had been started by you :) I am applying for the same course at the same university you have picked , and I'll be 21 when I start because long story short I developed an eating disorder at university and decided to change course. I hope I get into my choices :S at least I've already done my A levels.
Your really helpful! I hate people who have good revision techniques but dont care to share. Do you know any other uni lectures on psychology that helped?
@aliyaaaahhhhh The Oxford University Press AS and A2 'Psychology Through Diagrams' revision guide was practically the only one I used during the IB. It's really awesome!
haha maybe i should not be on youtube and actually revise for my exams this week :) oh well at least it's about revision :) thank you for the video as it has given me an insight on how the IB works :) i'm currently in year 10 which may be too early to start thinking about it but in my opinion it's never too early when it comes to education :) congratulations on your IB results :) xx
I so wish I could have done the IB - not available where I live :( sucks. Had to go along with crappy A levels. Despite being a bit of a natural at it, English Literature is the absolute bane of my life because I hate the texts :(
This was such a helpful video, I'll definitely be purchasing Mot a Mot for French :)
P.S when you mention titrations, you reminded me of a homework I had due for tomorrow THANK YOU LOU.

Psychology has a different syllabus this year, only about 2 textbooks exist for this years syllabus since its new... no revision guides yet! Not even from the OSC centre as far as I know :(
@LouFederer We have different levels of analysis, haven't even mentioned Freud, which I think year 2010 and before did quite extensively. I believe you had a behaviorist perspective in your syllabus amongst others? We have the biological, cognitive and sociocultural level of analysis and then of course the two options... I remember liking our syllabus much more when comparing the two, even though this new one has less generally applicable knowledge which is a bummer. :/
@thesophieduncan Hey! If you go to my blog, you'll see I've recently written up my everyday make-up routine. I'm wearing Twinks, Expensive Pink and All That Glitters today, all by MAC. :)

lol at how short the maths bit was!
would say it is similar to science, just learn the techniques and get used to manipulating equations.
practice makes perfect! :)

'Mot a Mot' is awesome! I owe a fair bit of my success to that wee book. Ha, and good luck with your titrations - always a pleasure. ;) x

@LouFederer The Mayor of Casterbridge by Thomas Hardy and then 2 plays by Sean O'Casey. The poems aren't too bad, Dickinson and G.M Hopkins.
