It's not the weapons fault. It's how the users play with it. This just isn't gears of war 1 and yeah I know sometimes I miss the old shotty battles. This game is balanced and it is not broken. The Sawed off's range cancels out its power and the bullet spread cant be more than 30 degrees to each side and even with the spread they still have to be at melee range to do anything and if there even more than an inch away from melee range the most it could do is down you.

I don't get why people complain about the sawed-off. Lets compare the shotguns. The gnasher has what, 8 shots per clip? and about 16 bullets in total? and it has a good enough range to take down assault rifle users. The sawed-off has ONE shot per clip. And only 4 shots in total. It also has HORRIBLE range. Sawed-off users have to be tactical so that they don't miss because if they do they are FUCKED. Gnasher users just stupidly fire until you're downed. If anything the gnasher is a noob weapon.

Its a camp, shot and run away gun. The greatest skill you need with this gun is staying still long enough and not getting bored. True the DBS (Sawed off Shotgun) range is a bit wide so anyone can own in an online round but, the flaws in the gun foreshadows its potential. Just got to know how your opponent is playing in the match. If he or she does not shoot till there 2-3 steps away from you then that person is wielding a DBS so distance yourself until that player waste his shot or out-range him with another firearm.

I think honestly the Retro lancer is perfectly balanced in the beta, the weapon was during the Pendulum wars before the longer range Saw-Lancer, and the recoil and the spread of the bullets is also perfect considering it is harder to hit people running away or camping on the other side of the map, the dmg is so high because its a close range weapon, and if u have a weak close range weapon, most likely more often than not, ur gonna die by a shotty, Whoever think the Retro is OP can't use it.

1. The whole point of a shot gun is it to be used close range so if you can one shot people with any shot gun its OP.

2. The retro lance is OP because you almost never fight super long range and it can kill some one in half a second from mid to short range, while the normal lancer takes like 2 seconds to kill someone.

I agree with you, it's completely balanced, the reload and range make up for the strength. But I still get annoyed when somebody kills me with it.
