man these 2-strokes are way more cool than the current 4-strokes. i remember watching Doohan n the lot race in Shah Alam.. they'd blast past the start finish in a BLINK! and they were LOUD! man i miss'em. then i watched the Rossi/Stoner generation in Sepang. not bad but.. yaaaaawwwwnn. sometimes changes make a sport boring. soon the 125s 2-strokes will be phased out so lets enjoy'em while we still can.

It as an injection system in each exhaust pipe,so the effective tunned length can vary and thus creating one tuned exhaust pipe with a broad band of "boost".

way does the top 2 pipes never blow any blue smoke untill they have finished putting what ever they are putting in the bike. then it sounds ever more easy revving?? sounds great miss 2 stroke bikes..... used to love watching schwantz doing his magic on his bike!!!!!!! good vid

@thebulldogman : I believe the last thing they do is fill up the water injection tank.

Somehow the bike runs better when they spray water in the exhaust... At least that is what I think they´re doing.

This video was taken when I was in the paddock at Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the 2009 MotoGP. Kevin Schwantz brought his old 500cc race bike out of storage, and he took several hot laps prior to the races stating Sunday. Kevin is no longer an active racer (he is still very active in motorcycling), and Lucky Strike no longer sponsors any MotoGP teams. ...

@SabanTX As of 2012, not even the 125 class will remain :( they are to be replaced by single cylinder 250cc 4 stroke motors, similar to those found on dirt bikes :( bye bye 2 strokes you will be sadly missed. Good job there are plenty of nice 2 stroke road and off road machines to chosse from on the second hand market to satisfy my 2 stroke needs :D
