This is shot in front of the Bondurant school of driving next to Firebird raceway in Phoenix. The shifter car wouldn't beat the Z06 on a track like LeMans, but around normal road courses, it is faster. Those guys post much faster lap times than me at Firebird Main course. Of course, they are insane and could die if they made a mistake. I feel much safer inside my car and I drove it home and to work the next day.
It's fair, but means little. Big (safe) car, small track, not "setup" for low speed acceleration, teeny car in its element. Not a surprise. Even a runner can out-accelerate a car for 50ft. Cornering should be about the same (friction function of weight and tires). Enough power on the little car, it can hang. It's like a motorcycle vs. a car. Faster drag, slower corner, but without the slower corner. Worse top end, where real races occur, mileage, endurance? Fatigue? Funny.
im sure it would be fair, its a shifter, the first few gears for accelaration and the remaining for top end... and yea, you race at a "race track" youd see the same result, kart still faster, then have better grip. hands down kart set up correctly

Put the kart on a real race track and see who wins. The straight line drag is like 100ft. They cut it short. They don't let the vette catch up. And like I said, they are on a go-kart track not a real race course. The vette is simply to big for the track, its got nothing to do with power speed or anything. I mean its like a cheetah and a gazelle. The gazelle can turn and turn to out run the cheetah, but sooner or later the cheetah is gonna have lunch. The gazelle aint out running him.
Your an asshole if you think this is for real...think about it. They are racing on a GO-KART TRACK. That little kart can't weigh more than 100 pounds. It has those little tiny go-kart wheels. Of course it would win. The vette never gets out of second gear before it has to stop almost completely to make a turn where as the kart can do it without even taping the break.
For those into the whole street racing thing and never tried a kart.. find a shifter kart.. it's scary fast..
you CANNOT get that same feeling in a car.. too big and heavy.. the fact that you are going 130 miles an hour on something THAT WEIGHS AS MUCH AS YOU is scary as shit.... lol

Even on a big track, such as infineon raceway, go-karts still get better lap times then most full sized (street) cars.
The zo6 will have a much higher top speed, but the kart can stay at a constant 90+mph throughout the entire track.

just so you know...the 125 shifter carts and the step down from formula 1 racing. a shifter cart will kick the ass out of just about any street car.
