can this plane be fitted with the 600 Horsepower Trace Engine and converted to run on AGE 85 Aviation Grade Ethanol? the turbocharged V-8 maintains cruse power all the way up with an estimated 600 hp maximum takeoff and 500 hp maximum continuous, an equivalent turbo prop engine would need to be rated as much as 1,000 horsepower at sea level. the info is from their video. I think their weight specifications match this plane, but i cant remember. Id love to see this plane on AGE85 fuel.
Don't think there is any market for it anymore though. Modern Fighters are also tricycle geared now, so would make no sense to learn pilots up on a taildragger.
Would still be cool as a sports aircraft though. Ligthened and stronger engine compared to the old chippie would make for quite an aircraft..
Air Seychelles is getting 2 for the seychelles domestic fleet and i think it will be the ownly levery on the airplane that will look sexy she will be looking nice in air Seychelles colour
@DrPilotRedC Viking bought the type certificates, designed upgrades to make it series 400, and has already flown the first off the line. As of 3 years ago, 27 had been ordered, probably more by now.

I think this is fantastic. The Twin Otter is a blast to fly as well as an incredible machine that gets the job done.
Would love to get my hands on one of the Viking DHC-6's.
