  • what wire did u use 2 feed the coil

  • whats your exhaust setup?

  • haha, yeah, actually that was a super nintendo at the time, i recorded over the tape with this video and left a few frames intentionally to see who might catch it

  • @1:10 playing xbox much?

  • How much did your V8 conversion cost? Im planning converting 93 Splash Ranger In probably a year or 2.

  • @BlazerNIN depends if you get a new or used motor

  • badass ranger man

  • Im definately hanging on to my 93 splash Ranger so I can do V8 conversion when I get out of college.

  • siick.. man id pay 2500 for that thing easy

  • someone asked about the cam, it's a compcams 292 ad. duration, .501 lift, never made enough vacuum to open the secondaries, can't remember for sure, but it's documented on my cardomain website, needed to work on this issue but only had 300 miles on it and 1500 stall (temp. converter) went out and I parked it and went to college, been sitting since, just never had the money to fix it, it's for sale until Sept. 2010, if it doesn't sell by then for $1,900 I plan to restore it within two years

  • what did you use for the cold air intake on the 3.0?

  • hey i like the V8 ranger. Thats cool dude. I like also the sound. I have the same but is a 4 banger.

  • so u have the 302 in it right?? what kinda car u pull that engine off of i need ideas i wanna do the swap with my 91

  • @danny1760 yeah, go to the cardomain link, or search dangerranger02 on that site, should be plenty of pics, built from block up

  • I got a 92 ford ranger 4.0L V6 four speed ext cab.. lol shit is pretty fun.

  • Can't forget the 4 wheel drive lol

  • @Infraction420 what's that?

  • HOLY CRAP THAT THING IS BEASTLY!!!

  • What kind of exhaust set up did you have on Ranger when it was a V6 in the video?

  • @BlazerNIN think i posted this before, but it was flowmaster 40 series delta flow two in, single out, but I think it was dual 2.25's and a 3 out, can't remember, but it was a turn out in front of the passenger rear tire through a gibson sport tip

  • Nice!

  • sweet trucks - both of them, but that 5.0 is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @biglinc1 lol its the same truck dude....

  • @Z3CHYD

i see 2 trucks, an extended cab ranger and a single cab... is the 2nd one they're working on the 5.0L that just drove off??

  • i only see extended cab....in the comments the owner says its the same truck, first a "worked 3.0 V6" then he installed the V8

  • @Z3CHYD yeah i read it later... i'm slow sometime... but theres a single cab at 1:52 wasn't sure who's that was

  • @Z3CHYD

and at 2:15 too... lol but i see after that they're working on the extended cab truck....

  • Yep if that guys anything like me he has own/owns several vehicles. I owned 4 rangers at one time lol

  • was just checking out a couple of yours... I'll check some more a lil later... Nice vids you got.. I've had 3 rangers but just one at a time. I got an 05 right now... RANGERS FTW!!!

  • Yea Ive owned an 86 4x4 ranger, a 92 4x4 ranger, an 84 V8 ranger, a 97 lowered 2wd ranger, and a 93 Explorer sport 4.0 5-speed. Loved every ranger i owned, especially the 86 and the 97, best runner i ever had. Now I have a 94 Probe for a DD

  • i had an 86, a 94 and now this 05. all been 5 speeds and those never gave no trouble. my 86 and 94 had over 200k when i sold them. all three of mine were 4 bangers too... haha... they were the best off roading trucks, could beat any thing going, especially my 86!!

  • Yea, My 86 had the 2.9l v6 in it, I was running 31 all terrains, 2-1/2 inch straight-piped exhaust an pushbar/rollbar. That thing was pretty much an STX clone, and I had that thing in water up to my headlites an it still didnt die lol, its still alive to this day, but my friend bought it from me :) and my 97 was 2.3L with headers an straight-piped into duals, it was loud an raspy, as seen in my videos of it :)

  • I'm gonna check out more of your stuff, soon as I time.... sounds like a beast you had!! My friend had a 2.9 in a bronco II and it was sweet... I wish they still made those bronc 2's those things were nice rides.. But I miss my old 86 it was looking rough when i sold it but I still miss her today.. :)

  • @biglinc1 still have this one for sale for $1,900. over 13k in this truck, only 300 miles on engine, torque converter went out, if it doesn't sell before Sept. 1st I'll be restoring it within two years

  • @rangerstang302 dude $1900 is giveaway for that truck!! that thing should sell for more than that!!!

  • @biglinc1 yeah, but I have other projects and this one was at the bottom, the whole getting married thing does that to you, if the ranger doesn't sell, i'll probably just part it out and use the engine in another vehicle, or restore it, i'd like to see it stay together but that's life!

  • @rangerstang302 tru... vehicles do get shelved or shfited to the back burner in favor of other things as we grow in life... ;)

  • 98 mustang dd, 92 ranger supercab v8, 66 austin healey sprite

  • the offwhite ranger is my dad's 1990 4cyl, mine is the "bright white" 92 supercab, not extended cab, no rear seats, etc.... and it is the same truck shown driving and starting in the video with a v6 and after v8 install

  • thanks man.... yours is really sweet!!!! would love to drive a v8 ranger. driving a 4 cyl i dont have but 143 hp in my duratec I4

  • @biglinc1 you can have mine for $1,900, put a little blood sweat and tears and it'll be better than i ever had it!

  • @biglinc1 you could for the small price of $1,900 and little work!

  • @rangerstang302 i ended up selling my ranger and buying a V6 f150... fuel cost was my main reason for the V6 v V8

  • Are you saying that is a v6 in the beggining of the video? Sound like a 5.0 to me. I have a 4.0 with no muffler and it dont sound near as nice as that. Surely thats no a v6 at the begining of the vid.

  • Yes, the truck has the 3.0 v6 up until 2:17 in the video, of course it's not a stock 3.0, in this particular supercab model with the 3.0v6, I was able to bring a baseline 1/4mile time of approximately 22 seconds to 16.4 seconds, there were many more goodies that could have been used such as a custom cam and roller rockers, but the cost did not justify the means...hence installation of a v8

  • hi guys. My name is Jim and i live in Suriname (South-America). I have also a ford ranger 92 4 cylinder. I love this truck. I want to replace this 4 cylinder to a V8. Any help what or how to begin.

  • dude that ranger sounds like a beast to me....

  • sounds like a crap to me

  • the second rander sounds like a damn race boat!

  • it's the same truck, just before and after the v8 installation

  • that thing sounds awesome!!!

  • hey is it still for sale if so holler at me we could do some tradein or buyin idc id like to see it message me

  • yep, only been up about a week, pm sent

  • sounds bad ass

  • Rangers are reliable as hell and are cheap as hell to fix.

    Gotta love em

  • I just bought a 92 ranger 4.0l auto, 158k and it still has a lot of power and i havent even seafoamed it yet. These trucks are just as reliable as a toyota, Ive talked to people w/ s-10s and they had the most problems

  • i got the 92 with the 4.o auto too that thing is stout as hell

  • awesome

  • damn son. i need to put that thing in my explorer. the 4.0 is reliable and runs good, but it doesn't offer much get up and go.

  • i have a 4.0 ranger. what do you think would be the best thing for sound for the exhaust

  • a flowmaster 40 series it will sound mean

  • yeah i put one on

  • it's aliiive!! IT'S ALIVE!!!!!! AHAHAH

  • what cams in the 302?

  • it's a 224 advertised duration from comp cams with .501 lift

  • sounds gud wat kinda muffler u got flowmaster

  • eventually, i installed a a custom true dual set up with twin turbo mufflers, was trying to keep it quiet, but it didn't work, the 3.0v6 has a single side exit with a gibson sport tip, and a flowmaster 40 series delta flow, the v8 exhaust was open shorties in this video

  • that things nasty!!!! i just bought a 97 extended cab with a built 5.0 5-speed lowered like that, nice truk dude

  • u got a ground clearence issue. lol hope its a street truck cause if u go offroad with that, u r screwed, unless u take the suspension back up.

  • thanks captain obvious, just kidding with you, a vehicle is built for the purpose that it is intended for, in this case, haulin butt and looking good, everyone is entitled to their opinion though

  • ya think.

  • you have a killer truck i have the same truck basically (with a 4.0) what are you using for exhaust to get the 4.0 to sound like that?

  • thats a 3.0

  • flowmaster delta 40 series, 2.5 in/out i believe...turns out before passenger rear, internal engine modifications and aftermarket custom intake have an affect on the exhaust tone as well

  • haha it souds like a plain engine starting up, nice job on the swap, how did you rig up your slip exhaust on the V6?

  • must not have watched the whole vid

  • lol i was talking about a friggin air plane engine

  • ah ok, i gotcha

  • What liter engine was that at first and was it a v6

  • 3.0Liter

  • nice!!

  • where did you get the cold air for the 3.0? I have been looking forever and cant find one.

  • dont get one its a waste of money. u wouldent even see a differance.

  • you'll see a noticeable difference with the intake, especially if you use a good exhaust and fully port and polish, etc... the internals among other mods that help the engine breathe better

  • it's really a ram air...but you can make your own cold air kit with spectre universal bends. i did it to my 4.0..the filter is between the frame rail and inner fender.

  • had to make one from two civic cold air intakes and a plumbing part for the MAF adaptor, not too hard, but just have to use your imagination

  • Hey what part of the vid has the 3.0 and which is the 302. I am curious as i have a 3.0 and the idle sounded amazing.

  • efi 3.0v6 is the first take, the second is with the 0.040 over 302

  • your a fag

    you aint got shitt

that truck is fucking trash trash trash trashhhhhhhhhhh

  • You fag your fucking trash trash trash. How about you go jerk off to photos of your mom.

  • You probably dont even own a car, stop talkin smack you fag.

  • hondas own fords!!!!!!for life

  • so yeah i f*ed up and got an 04, of course there is almost no aftermarket stuff for the 04 and up. WTF man, so custom fab it is.

  • most of the time, that's the best/only way to go, good luck

  • straight headers!!!

  • good truck i drove one for work and ironically totaled it today..it was the 3.0 with the auto and i could pull a 9 sec 0-60(check my vids)...def. good truck sucks i wrecked it

  • NICE!! I have a 302 too and i want to get headers and just have dual straight pipe exhaust without any cats or muflers. Gonna sound frikin sexy i hope. if it sounds close to yours ill be happy.

  • shortie hedman with true duals and turbo muffler, tried to do a sleeper, but that setup didn't help, in the vid it's just straight shorties with the v8

  • damn on 3:00 mins that fuckin ranger sounds lke it has balls wut kind of cam you got in it?????

  • I'll have to look up the specs, but it's a comp cam 224 adv. duration with .501 lift.

  • Man I love rangers but dude I deep tone exhaust sux! If you've got the power let the bitch crackle! Not moan!

  • the headers are un-capped tard

  • I have another vid of the v6 launching it, but I never floored the v8 since I never broke it in. It still only has 300 miles on the engine, but I blew up a torque converter, and long story short, have another project, and another daily driver so the ranger is on hold.

  • nice truck man, i have a v6 3.0 too and i want to do the same as yours but did you have to change your transmision too??? and where did you find your clear corner lens?

can you give me any tips to make my truck run nice with my v6 engine?

  • hey man where did you find your cold air intake on the 3.0 liter. I have a 95 ranger with a 4.0 and the only kit i have found was k&n and didnt come with a tube. it only came with the air filter and thats it.

  • had to fabricate cut the tubing from two civic intake from autozone, and made the maf adaptor and bought a filter that fit

  • was the 302 a crate motor?

  • nah, built from the block up

  • that V6 sounded amazing. it sounds just like a V8.

  • man that 302 has a bad ass idle

  • damn that 302 sounds GOOD!

  • nice cam

  • That 3.0 idles with a sound that is strikingly similar to a 302. It had me fooled for a while.

  • the 3.0 had a nice idle, but it doesn't compare to the 302 once you hear them after each other, of course this video later shows the 302 with open headers

  • how did u get that kind of sound out of a v6 in the beginning of the clip?

  • flowmaster 40 series delta flow, cat adjustment, passenger side exit in front of rear tire, and gibson tip, of course there are some engine modifications that help too

  • could you elaborate on the mods you did to the motor?

  • look up dangerranger02 on cardomain

  • What are those rims and specs? Looks and sounds amazing man!!

  • hey bud, the rims are 17 X 8 american eagle torque thrusters w/5 on 4.5 bolt pattern, the first few clips are of the 3.0v6, later in the vid you see me under the hood after the swap starting the 0.040 over 302v8.

  • Im thinking about changing my engine but idk if the front springs can handle the weight, and I dont think the A4LD will bolt to a 302, or handle the torque because it can barely handle my 4.0l

  • the A4ld will not bolt to a 302, it would explode lol.

  • awesome!
