@sachasmit i know, but he is hitting the note at the beginning of the chores no problem and towards the end he sings a different note. It isn't that he can't hit the note...he is thinking it wrong in his head and therefore singing it wrong.

I'm going to agree that you did a great job even out of your range. It adds to the song, in my opinion... the more strain that's added to the chorus really adds to the song. Part of what really hits people with this song, I think, is that it is one of those few songs that is a whole package. The lyrics, pace, meaning, chords, delivery, and even the way it stops like a brick wall at the end. It all comes together. It especially resonates with anyone who has gone through anything like this.

Gotye must have really hit a chord. It has that genuine feel to it, unlike so many songs that seem phony & fake. The way he sings that chorus, you just KNOW it's real feelings, and when it's that real, everybody seems to recognize it!
