Look, the difference between sniping and camping is sniping is used to eliminate threats vital to the mission, and camping is sitting in one place for ungodly amounts of time. This guy was the latter. Plus, the class isn't called "Sniper".

well, as a teamplayer I have to contradict. Not to run around and shoot with pistol is one thing, but not lying there for the whole game, shooting only 7 people in one round. Because the team with the most campers will, for example, loose all falgs or points in a rush game, so at the end your team is tainted > speaking about non-efficient sniping/camping.

Our squad-sniper is like our angel looking at us and helping us. He moves behind us, not in the action zone, but not camping! (;

I regularly play Recon. Like on Kharg Island if I go Recon then it's just staying on the ship spotting every single thing out there, helping win the round. Yeah, I get the odd kill but that's what bullets are for. When I play Engineer I still spot before shooting, well, most of the time.

You can run around, take temporary positions to snipe and spot or you can take position, place beacon and motion mine and camp all day. There where bipod, straight bolt and other attachments difference come in. I personally play aggressively with sniper and its damn effective even when caping points or fighting in front line. Basically you can go mobile as a marksman or camp as a sniper.
