I like this score! It reminds me of "The Last Action Hero". There were many soundtracks included, performed by Michael Kamen. I think those sound similar to these. =)
Do you have other tracks of this band? Never heard of them before, but I start to like this music! =)
I don't know if he did for this movie, but John Carpenter did a lot of the scores for his own movies. The simple synthesizer run at the beginning is very reminiscent of the Halloween theme. If anyone knows whether The Coupe Des Ville was an alias or a separate band please post and let us know.
I LOVE this film, when I first saw it I used to watch it everyday! I love the music too, it's a very under-rated film. One of Carpenter's best I think.
This is one of Carpenter's real gems. It is terribly underrated. I can't believe it was a financial flop, but then so was The Thing. This movie is well written and superbly directed. It's also scary. I wish Carpenter would make more films like this. I heard the title of his next movie is The Psychopath, so I'm hopeful.
what a track...where can i get it ????

This isn't the Coupe De Villes, it's Carp, some synth guy and RAY DAVIES of the kinks. they also did the subsequent Village of the Damned ost.

I agree with ajbonine69.
This is a classic. The heavy Lovecraftian atmosphere places it at the top of my favorite horror movis.
