@GotSwagBruh wow. lol. you are so igorant. Just because its not what you listen to does not make it trash. I like lil wayne, but in my opinion, this is real music. You just think differently.
It's amazing how you can feel in this piece the frustation caused by his deafness... how he's trying to hear the "knocking of the door" and he can't, how you can feel in the piano side his pain and sadness and then returns to frustration again...
Hey, I'm a 15 year old kid who's trying to get more into classical music, and I'm really into heavier music when it comes to the other genres I listen to, so I figure that if that's the case, then I should be into heavier classical, right? Well, I just want to know if anyone can recommend any heavier things, like this.
Yes a joke.. Stick to listening to all the composers of the past 500 years & u will fair well. Do not get stuck into a routine of the "best" symphonies, as this will only lead u in 1 direction. Try 2 gather as much as you can from each composer, early works - later works... U will be amazed at the difference each composers journey through life takes... Good Luck !
@Fuliginosus SpongeBob??? what the fuck is wrong with you???
You are talking about one of the great masters of music. People who really know about music know about Bethoveen, no matter if some cartoon character played his music...
@themagicayrtonsenna I didn't mean to be disrespectful. I know that Beethoven was like the Lady Gaga of his time. I'm just saying that, in the case of this particular tune, the reason so many people know it is because of SpongeBob. I myself had never heard it before the cartoon, and I know several people who refer to it as the 'SpongeBob music.'
@Fuliginosus Wow, are you really comparing Gaga with Beethoven here? :') Some people on the internet are... Raargh! :D
Maybe it's because those "many people you know" are all little kids watching too much spongebob not paying enough attention in music class.
I'm glad I spent most my evenings with my grandmother, listening to Beethoven, Bach and many others. Knowing that some grannys are still doing the very same makes me feel good for a little while, unttil I see stuff like this...
@StJouish Ms. StJouish, the only reason he would be able to compose after he went deaf would be to his knowledge of written, and aural music theory. If he was deaf from the start, he might be able to write music using written music theory, but he would not know what it sounded like. Aural music theory allowed him to remember, and hear in his head. He would not have to take a class to learn aural music theory.Turn up the volume on a nice system and blast classical..tell me a timpani doesnt strike
One of the Greatest and most highly respected Maestro of Western Classical Music. Each of his work has his legendary and genius incline, and will be there for the generations to hear and enjoy his great artistry in Classical music!!
this song makes you feel violent, perseviering and it inspires me to live, lough and take vengence on those who wrong me, and as fr rap well my brothers its crap.
Beethoven WENT deaf.. he wasn't born DEAF. He could still hear when he wrote this. The 9th symphony was when he was completely deaf! He didn't learn when he was deaf. He WENT deaf.He WENT deaf. ALSO, just because he WENT deaf doesn't mean he couldn't feel the vibrations from his piano. He sawed off the legs so that he would be able to feel the vibrations when he went deaf. Basically, he wrote the 9th symphony from the vibrations he felt, and his already extensive knowledge of aural music theory.
@DMVOfficial Beethoven didn't compose at the piano. Composers are able to hear the notes in their head and know what notes they are, so, in some ways, deafness is good for a composers as it blocks out outside sound,
@NoahSV unfortunatelly, beethoven heard some annoying buzzing all the time....I just hope it wasnt in some annoying pitch...pitch perfect people are driven crazy by annoing non-perfect pitch..I have heard about one conductur who had to adjust something in his washing maschine with a screwdriver, because while it was working, it made this terrible D...
@DMVOfficial So...if I understand you correctly, Beethoven WENT deaf, WENT Deaf, WENT deaf? That's a shame. Do U really think that the vibrations of the piano on the floorboards had very much to do with the composition of the Ninth Symphony? I think tha twould have been neglible. I suspect it was more like being able to hear the music in his head.
@StJouish I think, sir, you understand me. Somewhat. Being able to hear the music in your head is great, and that is why I added "his already extensive knowledge of aural music theory", but there is NOTHING like feeling the vibrations of sound hitting you. Aural music theory lessons teach you to "hear music in your head."
@DMVOfficial Thank U for your reply. Why do people assume that if you post a comment or reply you would properly be addressed as "Sir?" In my case, "Ms." would be more appropriate. Pretty darn high falutin' about the aural music THEORY. But why would knowledge of aural music THEORY, have any thing to do with being able to compose after he "WENT deaf?" Agreed, "there is NOTHING like feeling the vibrations of sound hitting you" or even HITTING you. However, not sure, that vibrations STRIKE.
@DMVOfficial Thank U for your reply. Why do people assume that if you post a comment or reply you would properly be addressed as "Sir?" In my case, "Ms." would be more appropriate. but you must consider that he could've been born with the DNA to dictate his later "impairment". but i agree that he could still feel the music. but more than likely, like most composers of the age, didn't need to hear the music through their ears, because they could hear the music wizzing in their heads. I mean, I watched a documentary which goes on to say how Beethoven could hear each and every individual instrument of the orchestra all in his head.
@DMVOfficial Its especially brilliant when you consider that today we consider the 9th symphony to be one of the greatest pieces of music ever, and yet its composer never heard a not of it.
@hallo1HOJT5 I can't remember the name of it offhand. But I can hear it in my head exactly as if the vibrations were HITTING me from my aural music THEORY lessons and the piano legs had been sawed off. Ha Ha Ha Haaaa!
@crowfaceltd Yes, technically speaking, but the classical period is a continuation of the baroque. The only differences are that they expanded on 7th chords and the concept of arpeggios was developed.
Beethoven broke all rules of of the baroque period style of music, which was puppeteered by the Roman Catholic Church. He ushered in the era of true Romanticism. He took the contour of previous styles, opened them, and freed them to allow for a more amazing melodic line. Truly beautiful.
@tintearluin i dont agree because im 14 and i enjoy classical music not to be different because it is so beautiful just to hear proper music without all the modern rapping crap :)
sure Andrea Bocelli and Stevie Wonder are blind and are great musicians but cmon, beethoven was deaf. blind don't do crap when learning music. in fact, it helps because it heightens your sense of sound but being deaf means you can't hear SHIT. yet he still makes music that are bamf's
People are arrogant. If you simply don't like it then don't bother watching. Nobody tied you to a chair and made you listen to it. This is a masterpiece and if you can't appreciate it then I don't believe you have a sense of taste in music.
Не знаю o России, но 15 декабря BEETHOVEN: Symphony No. 5 в Филадельфии. “the Orchestre Révolutionnaire et Romantique transports listeners back in time, offering a rare glimpse into how these seminal Beethoven works might have sounded when they first premiered.”

You know what? I don't care how old you are. I don't care if not a single person under 21 listens. It will still exist and I will still listen.
You only like it to feel isolated from your peers in a weird 'I am different' kind of way like every generation. Sorry for the negativity but it's boring now.
@SupremeHardstylez When I see this comment i usually say ' well let me help your out, and i will shove the arrow up your ass' however i couldnt agree more!

@CropCircle1996 Although Beethoven is hands down one of the best composers, someone who cursed God and turned his back on God can not be the Lord's instrument. God can and will use anyone to bring glory to His name. Yet, Beethoven does not glorify God at all. On the contrary, Beethoven was very much into putting man on a pedestal and exalting mankind into a status of a god. This is actually called idolatry and it is a sin against God.
@SelphieTheNutter what the fuck were you censoring cunt or crap if crap then seriously what kind of white bread yuppie are you fucking cuss dude its just crap who gets offended over crap don't ever censor yourself on youtube or i will you and call you a bitch

This world is in the bad state it's in because of people that would rather focus on themself's only rather that focus on others people like you make me sick
@SelphieTheNutter how did you assume that i was egocentric from that comment i was just saying don't censor yourself on youtube fucking yuppie because no one cares that you aren't foul mouthed and you assume i'm self centered i don't believe it's people like me that are plummeting the world into discord but ignorant presumptious dicks like yourself

God can and will use anyone to bring glory to His name. Yet, Beethoven does not glorify God at all. On the contrary, Beethoven was very much into putting man on a pedestal and exalting mankind into a status of a god. This is actually called idolatry and it is a sin against God.

Some people want young white females to mix with non-white males.
I made a one-minute video highlighting a very tiny sample of race-mixing advertisements.
I love white people, and I am opposed to race-mixing. But I do not hate non-whites.
If you click on my name “autumntree2011” highlighted in blue below this comment, you can watch my video.
(I'm not a fan of Hitler or KKK.)
