  • Mm, that's a fork you'll never eat from again!

  • can someone help me out, i want to give this a try, was wondering if this device would melt lead watch?v=yW0GB5jc2Ak thanks

  • @Arcz90 If it gets above 630°f, Yes, it probably would... OUTSIDE

  • PLEASE TELL ME WHERE DID YOU GET THE LEAD? , CANT FIND IT ANYWHERE

  • @pyrotechnics100 try fishing shops lead sinkers

  • @pyrotechnics100 Nearly any tire store or garage that changes them. They might even give it to you.

  • Hey,how do you de-gas it?i took the slag out but still got heaps of holes.

  • @halfmumi Not sure what you mean, but try heating your mold 1st. Pour some lead in it, let it sit awhile, take it out and back in the pot. It should remelt almost instantly, then see what you get.

  • @mrkylerigby thank you so much!!!

  • @mrkylerigby as in a rubber coating or a plastic coating?

  • @mrkylerigby Thanks! would creating a coating on it prevent the process of poisoning?

  • This was very helpful. My friend and I are doing an astronomy project, and we wanted to learn how to make "melting lead sounds."

  • i have a question, did you come in direct contact with the lead? im just wondering cuz im thinking of making stuff with lead and worrying about all the lead poisoning stuff... could you please help?

  • Comment removed

  • NO DISLIKES IN THIS VIDEO :DDD

  • i can clearly eat your wife saying

    NOT THE FORK!!!!!!AAAARRRRGGGHHHHH

  • jewelry??

  • what are you gonna do with that metal????

  • i was waiting till it overflowed and fell in his lap and melted his skin :|

  • @sorrensen9 your dumb

  • @livepies man i actualy didnt understood you anything becose im not ameerican or Britain i am serbian

  • so that's how the i-pad was made

  • I was melting lead last night, there was like never ending slag (i think thats what u call it). I just gave up after about a half an hour of removing it. Is it supposed to take tat long?

  • @hifatpeople You were just destroying your lead. The slag is not supposed to be removed. It protects the melt from oxidizing. By removing it, you let the oxygen oxidize another layer and so on, until there's no more lead. You're supposed to remove the excessive amounts of slag only, and leave a thin layer, then push it aside right before casting.

  • @endimion17 kinda figured that, i knew the pan wasn't that dirty

  • @livepies lead is ALWAYS toxic. Wear appropriate protection ALWAYS and ALWAYS be sure to wash your hands before doing ANYTHING after handling lead. It is super toxic, especially smelting it, as seen in this video.

  • where can i buy lead???

  • @dukilaki im thinking about buying some ongots off ebay its 1.25 per ingot plus shipping

  • @jeffddow fuck ebay i mean in stores

  • @dukilaki i just went to walmart today and picked up a pound of lead sinkers and melted em. make sure it contains lead there should be a warning

  • @jeffddow to make sure just buy one pice of sinker and when you are at home drop it in hydrochloric acid.acid will eat it is couple of secounds

  • I was wondering where all the gold paint went at the hardware store.

  • is that dangerous? it must be because it looks cool!

  • friday friday

  • ??????????

  • looks like summat off terminator at the end

  • Good for you.

  • im melting!!

  • what happends if you touch it?

  • @kingvik247 You become Chuck Norris!

  • @MrNaomeentales lmao

  • I found funny that he uses a fork XD

  • Sieht hammer aus (Y)

  • Lead and a fork...... not a very good idea =]

  • Hi

May I point out, that lead is realy poisonus, and that includes it's fume?

  • @Reappi666 The only time lead or alloy can put off a toxic fume is at its boiling point, and that is 1300 degrees for lead.

  • my 4 year old is really interested in this stuff

  • lead is poisonus

  • Gloves!?!!? what a puss

  • woah I never know lead and metal can be melted together. Thumbs up great job.

  • @gamezonic Lead is metal.

  • @SirArghPirate this type of metal with lead

  • Instructions on how to make your own T-1000 Terminator.

  • energy drink !

  • 10 bucks to anyone who drinks it >_>

  • @FlameOfGodith 11 and youve got a deal

  • that looks pretty dangerous

  • now put a apple logo on the back, paint the front black and put a peice of glass on and u might be able to sell it for a ipod O.o

  • man this is cool!

  • lead woud prob say "MELTING! IM MELTING OH WHAT A WORLD MELTING!" quoth the lead ingot or what it would say if it had the personality of the wicked witch from that one movie lmao!

  • does lead melt realy easy or something, and why doesnt the pan melt? sorry but i just dont know alot about this.

  • Lead?.... That's one fork I'd never eat off of again...

  • Puring molten lead down someone's throat was considered a form of tourture.

  • @MrEugenalicious in the dark ages, and was a punishemnt for making false courency (coins), right? ^^

  • fuck yeah

  • Are you doing this outside? If not you need plenty of ventilation or a very good gas mask.

  • @fireworkgalore lol why outside?

  • @TehRamenBrotherz Carcinogenic fumes. (did i spell that right?)

  • @fireworkgalore nah that has nothing to do with lead unless its lead paint because the evaporation process which dries up the paint leaves it slightly dusty and the dust you can get cancer from

  • Lets put a super ball in it :D BOUNCY IRON!

  • simple but awesome !!!!

  • how do u melt metal into a specific shape?

  • nice

  • dinners ready

  • i forgot where did you get your mold from?

  • a little speech as to equipment, safety precautions, where you got lead, how long to melt, hand protection, where to get molds, what you plan to do with your idea, etc would be good.

  • you sound like a science teacher, you wont just let someone do something cool without all these reasons/planning and extinsive bullshit will you?

  • @HR1800 : it looks like no words needed to describe the process. You can see and hear a burner, which looks like something from a survivalist camping "stove" burner. If you can't get to 625+F (melting point of lead), you need to increase the oxygen to the flame (similar to a bunsen burner does). Add bars, wait a couple minutes after the last bar, poor, wait till cool. Pretty simple really.

  • Chug! chug! chug!!

  • doesn't lead release a toxic fume when burnt

    or melted

  • @otonzinho697 yes yes it does

  • Can you melt lead in a stainless steel pot?

  • sure

  • well what are the advantages of a cast iron pot?

  • no advantages, use a pot made of any metal with melting point over 900 Celsius.

  • yes

  • He's saying if he drank it.

  • cool man :D

  • omg :D i want one! xDD

  • where did u get that lead

  • they were just some old bars i made long time ago from random pieces of lead i found.

  • @swiderski88some air rife pelits are led

  • @swiderski88 go to a scrap yard and theyll usually sell you some. Its usually less than 50 cents a pound.

  • looks delicious.

  • this is interesting...

  • what did you use as the burner

  • a candle lol

    and a soda can lol

    And some lead

  • what is that spoon made out of?

  • i think steel

  • @justforwatchingcraps chuck norris...

  • You should try casting thin sheet, that requires a lot of skill and technique.

  • i wonder what would happen if you drank tht...

  • You would die or get cancer, stupid.

  • lead soup... with a soda on the side.

  • how long does it take for this block to cool down in solid form

  • Nice lead bar! Hope nobody accidentally eats food with that spoon and fork though haha

  • drink it !!!

  • SILENCE, I MELT YOU!!!

  • How'd the camera not melt?

  • He zoomed in?

  • Woooow, yeah, that's really cool.

  • where did you get all of that lead? the only lead ive ever melted was from bullets dug out of a mound at a firing range!

  • awesome

  • also gloves + leather apron + face Mask and/or Glasses should be considered.

  • Just becareful when you add lead to a lead pot with molten lead. If there is any water, which may come from your own sweat, you might find yourself not just touching the lead, but maybe tasting it. Like Boom. Put all the lead you will use and melt it. If, you want more then wait until you empty the pot and add more.

Molten lead hitting your face at high speeds will leave a mark... like ouch.

  • I hereby decree this to be the greatest video on youtube. BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE IT, DAMMIT.

  • i want to TOCUH it. lol

  • where did you get all that lead?

  • just collected it over time.

  • yea but like i see those bricks,

    where? car batteries?

  • no, I molded those bricks myself.

  • u fucking sped

  • that looks like fun ! :D5/5

  • hey wat was in the container before u put lead in it?

  • shouldn't be wearing ruber gloves if your working with heat

  • i wouldn't )

  • Molten metals looks soooo tasty:D

  • can you send me some lead bricks like that

  • how come you use lead is it becuase of the low melting temp. i usally use zinc since it melts around 787 degrees. the only thing is where did you get that brick mold!!

  • I used lead because I have alot of it lying around and because its easier to melt than zinc.

The mold came from my old woodshop teacher when I was in 7th grade. He had all sorts stuff like this in his classroom. When he passed away a year later all the stuff was being given away, his niece was nice enouf to give me the mold.

  • where do u get zinc?

  • maily scrap. or i buy bars. remember melting pennies(post 1982) is illegal

  • cool... i just want zinc so i can make Euros...

  • its acually cheap. i think its like 78 cents per pound now

  • O.o thats really cheap lol

  • yay let's do euros!!

  • xD then change them for bills so we don't hav to carry around so many coins...

  • xD then change them for bills so we don't need to carry around so many coins...

no one will suspect a thing >.>

  • isnt that illegal. well zinc is a bit cheaper 72 cents a pound.

  • I need zinc to make nordic gold... then I can make euros... its ilegal but i'm from Portugal n the police force is very stupid... lol

  • ahh. ok. :D

  • careful not to get lead poisoning now :).

  • u should wear gloves

  • I was, It's just hard to see them.

  • omg hello hes wearing gloves

  • Wow your throwing soo much lead in lol, careful from Lead vapors, and also you have soo much lead to spare lol.

  • lol,yeah,I had resporator on,

It was mainly all fishing weights that I previously molded into lead bars, about 20 pounds worth.

  • that'd suck if u hit that and u spelt it on ur self
