haha! I was watching a random video on YouTube and this song (Rick Astley) came on in the background and i knew I'd heard it from somewhere, and then remembered this demo from my childhood,about 15 years ago! When i get back to my parents house i'm going to raid the attic in the hope of finding this beauty so that I can play on the weird and wonderful sound effects like I did back in the good old days :)

@Bossmanrocks yes as long as the the adapter is within the keyboards volt limit and has the right polarity it'll work. you should be able to find that information on the keyboard somewhere.

I found one of those in a dumpster, covered in snow. After I let it dry, I put some batteries in it, turned it on, and it actually worked! I ended up giving it away (I've got a Yamaha 9000pro and Yamaha MO6 synth, so I didn't really need it).

@sssummer hey, i just found one of these in my basement. is there a power outlet for it or does it run on batteries cause i can't really find anything on the back that shows signs of batteries or outlet

@egforevervlad i use batteries in mine, but i know it takes a 9V adapter. i used to have one, but there was a bad connection so the power would always short out. the batteries work just fine. if you look on the back of the keyboard above the model name, you should see the input for both headphones & power. batteries are behind where it says "pulse code modulation".

The CA-100 was my first keyboard too. My teacher hated it with a passion b/c of the lousy sounds, the limited size, and the lack of a sustain pedal jack. The only thing we liked about this keyboard was the Demo song - I'm going to remember it 'till my last days. My parents still have it, and it works pretty well considering how old it is, what it's gone through, and it being no more than a fancy toy...
