With exception to game 1, up to this point in the series MJ played great games. Hard to believe the media and even MJ himself said he was a little "rusty". Then again basketball is a team sport and MJ's chemistry with the team was off. The following year the Bulls and MJ proved that basketball is a team sport with 72-10.
he was a big help in winning the 3 championships, i wish though jordan didnt retire so kokoc would have had the chance to play with him in his prime, cause 94 and 95 would have been the end of jordans prime yrs, and jordan was out of basketball shape in 95. and the things they could have done in 94, with pippen healthy and at his height, jordan at the height of his prime, and then a young kokoc. oohh man id love see that trio
yea, kokoc knows how to play the team game, it is quite unusual for a tall man like him.
would that had been the case then horace would had stayed in chicago as well. they dont need rodman if they have horace. well, it is all hard to imagine because it never happened.
I don't get it when people say Jordan was out of shape. How in the hell was MJ out of shape in 95' playoffs?
In the 95 playoffs Jordan was averaging 31.5 ppg, 6.5 rbg, & 4.5 ast. Also that postseason MJ was shooting 49% from the field. He was on pace for another NBA Finals Mvp.
@2008sALINAs. SInce he came back in late March he was in DEC form when it was playoffs. However, why do people say his prime was over after 1st retirememnt. Thats bullcrap. in SUmmer 1995 MJ worked on his game harder than he ever had and had maybe his best season in 1995-96--->The same season the Bulls were the greatest team ever at 72-10.
By the record. I'd take the '86 Celtics or '87 Lakers over that team. Just better competition during the era. NBA was way watered down in the mid-90s...6 expansion teams (Heat, Grizz, Raptors, T-Wolves, Hornets, Magic) definitely diluted the product.
he could have went to any other team and developed into a star. im glad he stayed in chicago though, he was unselfish and played behind jordan and pippen,
tony kokoc had the potential to be a great offensive player, he was a great passer, great clutch player, good spot up shooter,he could drive the ball, together in that yr.
