Fantastic!!! This entire series is a gift for all real movie lovers! All episodes you learn more and more... The Great Parade I had a chance to watch when I moved to Los Angles in 2006 inside the Academy Building in Beverly Hills for my pleasure was with real orchestra and John Gilbert's grandson.!

James Mason was draft dodger in WW2, his son married punk rocker from Go-Gos band. Mason was born to family of wealth, took up acting as a lark.

This is a stretch but I would guess the this is a picture of Arthur Treacher and Gertrude Lawrence in the movie 'The Battle of Paris' which is a 'talkie' ...oops. Mind you I have never seen the movie and just pieced this together. Does anybody have this movie and can confirm?

The song that is played at 27:27 is actually parodied in the UK as "Go Compare" which is an insurance website and is sung by a giant opera singer. It really spoils the song for me as all I can see is the fat man yelling about insurance.
