Black artist were never taken advantage of in fact their careers prospered. They (A) received plenty or royalties from Pat's recording and (B.) Pat opened the door to make the music of Little Richard and Fats Domino more acceptable to white audience. So know your facts.

@grambo47 The nationwide turnout this year - 2010 - in the primary elections was 10% - I can link you to the stats if you want - but the best guage is to go look up your local district - say CA31 which has 300,000 eligible citizens and only 25,000 voted - which is even less than 10%

The other point to be made is that there are over 150 million non-voting eligible citizens and the "tea party" is the only group out of all 150 million that is close to doing what the Constitution asks us to do - which is focus on local politics.
