  • i would much rather have a s/c over a t/c for 1/8 1/4 mile drags because the power is always there t/c's are really only better on freeway runs topend cars

  • i prefer all motor s2k's with ITBs, but a SC one is cool too.

  • @JDMimportsFTW 4.77 gears are good for mid 300's. a sc s2k doesnt make that much. about 320 is where most sc s2ks are at

  • turbo is not the way to go in cali to many cops that know whats up you gotta get the vortech kit because its 50 state legal and thats really nice down here.

  • eaton still makes the best superchargers! thats what was in my 06 cobalt i had a stage three supercharger kit with bigger injectors smaller pully and so on and i smoked a 6 speed rwd supercharged s2000 on the freeway he could have taken me on the track but ont he free way i had way better gear ratios i could do 135 in 4th and i dumped my speedo at the stock 160 so idk how fast i was really going... the s2000 always sounds burly though im not dissin' but eatons better in my oppinion...

  • @marlo916 Turbo's have the ability to make more HP than an equivalent supercharger but with a S/C you don't have boost lag. However a supercharger kit for a car costs a lot more than a turbo.

  • @marlo916 Well I would say turbo would be the way to go for all out straight lines like the 1/4, thats why Supras and Cobras and etc. usually use a 90mm or bigger single turbo when they drag. But to run it around a town or track, def. a SC because it makes instant boost and doesnt need to build up. Ive seen good turbo kits last forever on mid boost, thats because the guy who owned it went all out to buy it and never ran his car hard. So both methods can be useful at times.

  • when he downshifts its not a smooth transaction to the lower gear. when you heal toe you rev the car and downshift at the same time. so u will hear im rev then change gears and the revs will be the same .

  • If I wasn't rev matching the MPH would go down a lot more during shifts and the transitions would not be as smooth.

  • @jimreppinb14 in the s2000? nah it's not, I got size 11-12 feet and at first it was difficult ( I was used to wider pedal spacing) but then I realised that you have to have about half your toes on the brake and swivel your foot so the heel/side touches the accelerator... now I find it easy!

  • @Nickamsweet No i drive a vauxhall corsa haha, ive been trying it alot recently starting to get the hang of it, usually end up revving too much then when i release the clutch shoot forwards which becomes a bit sketchy when there are cars in front of me lol

  • @jimreppinb14 ahhh yeah I used 2 have that issue, thing is with ANY gear down you shld always be hitting the same rpm! Thing I do is get used 2 reving with the prt of the foot that u use 2 when heel toeing. also it's best 2 learn 2 spike the throttle rather thn holding (less chnce of launching forward) like u kno how much 2 quickly stamp 2 spike the rpm, then let out the clutch as engine rpm peaks/starts to drop. takes practice, now I do it without thinking and transferd to diff cars easily!
