thats a meteor entering the atmosphere, as they burn down to a smaller size entering the atmosphere they light up really bright then slowly burn out. the purple is where its almost burned out.

It was a meteor, ive seen the exact same situation myself. The sky gets lit up, the street light is even brighter, so it makes a temporary burn-in causing that purple "UFO." Come on people. Look at the time stamp on the video. It says June 3rd, 2004 at about 2:40 AM. Hundreds of cameras around Seattle captured this flash, as well as dozens and dozens of eye witness accounts. Tis nothing more than a meteor. This is nothing special.

A simple google search of "Seattle meteor" bring up several news reports detailing this event from over three years ago.

no lightening ... clear night ... i was in my car outside my house when it happened ... literally the whole area lit up completely to day light. It took like 3 or 4 days for the papers to say it was a meteor ... and even then it was a small announcement. I've noticed those same objects and lights ... really crazy.
