I found the software that you mentioned now I would like to find the motors for the machine. I have looked at several sites but the ones that i have found are extremely expensive. Was this the case for you too?

kelinginc makes awesome cheap motors, I built a 3-axis mill. 282oz/in@ 39.99each. he is on ebay too
