I haven't seen many versions of Dean's Shim Sham, what I have seen is people doing it very poorly. This is his Original Shim Sham, however, it has changed in Style and Tempo.
Also, does anyone know why there are so many variations of the DC shim sham? I know the obvious reason would be to make it easier, but I'm surprised by the number of different versions. Would I be right in saying that this version is the original (and "right") as it's DC himself dancing?
Ok, so after all, which one is Dean Collins?? The guy with the lighter coloured trousers (stage right?!) seems to mess it up half way through, so I'm inclined to think the guy with the darker trousers is Dean...
Keep in mind that this was not actually a performance by Dean and Bart. They were there for something else and were coaxed into doing the shim sham - (as reported by Bart)
FYI: "Stage" terms are from the dancer's (actor's) point of view. To his or her "right or left" when looking at the audience (this remains regardless of how the actor stands). "House" terms are from the audience's (director's) perspective. If dean is the gentleman on the left side of the YouTube screen, he is "stage left." He would be "house right" from the view of the audience.
Also upstage is away from the audience towards the back wall of the stage. Downstage is closest to the audience.
Dean is wearing white pants...

correction: I'm wrong; andidance was right. But I'm pretty sure Dean is "stage left".
