Im a soldier and it hurts to see people disrespect us. It's a huge decision - but if you feel like you should, then you should. Your gf will go through a lot, but there are many people behind her. I've been there - my bf is currently deployed and have found a lot of support groups that help! It's tough - but she will understand that because you fight is why she can sleep at night! So 3 weeks after I went over she broke it off with me, i was pissed off but now I know that we were not right for each other and the girl I am with now totally understands and I have gone over 2 more times since that and she never wavered, So that is how you know that she is the right person for you.
