hahahaha, this is so funny!! I was home schooled & am about 2 graduate. This is awesome! Some of this is so true! As a fellow home schooler, this is awesome! High Five! :D
Haha this is pretty true. But, I've never delivered or watched a delivery of one of my siblings. And obviously the part about reading more then playing computer and watching TV is joking. LOL, and the one bit about the mismatched socks. Atleast I hope. I've been homeschooled my whole life, I hate reading, and am a total fashionista.
I know they are haha. I'm in the same boat as you, this is my first year of high school and i was never in a public school before. Not that bad, but I still love homeschooling and will homeschool my children!! <3
I used Saxon Math as a public school teacher. My parents also made us do Saxon math over the summers to help retain what we learned. I love Saxon math. It's great.
You might be homeschooled if....you watch a video explaining ways to determine whether or not you are homeschooled and check it for spelling mistakes. :P
Hahaha... You make it seem like homeschoolers arent even humans.. Just thought i let you kno most of what you said are LIES. And you said stuff like its a bad thing, cafeteria food is nasty, lockers, if you're homeschooled you don't gotta worry about nasty food or dumb lockers, you might wanna actually talk to a homeschooler before you post lies, just a heads up. (;
I have NO IDEA what i am because i go to school on mondays and thursdays from 8:30-10:30 i take 2 electives then go home. i do the rest of work at home online so im home on tuesdays, thursdays, and fridays. guess im "part homeschooled"
This is so great!! I love "Your biology class consists of assisting in your sibling's birth," and I can totally relate to "You get up at 9:30 am on weekdays and 7:00 on Sunday." LOL!
I love the your first date is on your honeymoon... and the you watch the clock waiting for your public school friends to get out of class that has happened to me so many times lol XD
All could be true for different homeschoolers. Except the one about not knowing what homework is. That's all homeschoolers know. If you don't know what homework is then you can't be a homeschooler.
I have been homeschooled for 3 years, I went to school for 6 years. Whoever would pick going to school over homeschool MUST be psychologically impared! (for you non-homeschoolers, that means crazy!)

Form your own thoughts and opinions based on what you find and then decide if home schooling YOUR child is so terrible.
@ThePixlPerfect Sorry you hate it. :( My oldest said the same thing. I let him go to public school for 11th and 12th grades. Now (he's 20) he says, "Damn, I wish I would have stayed home." My daughter (currently in 11th grade in public school) says that if she could see her friends everyday she would much rather be homeschooled again. Hang in there...
You got anything against Saxon math? I'm 15, a junior in highschool, in Calculus from Saxon, and it works great. "Suffer" has no meaning in this context.
Love this!!! First found it from a wonderful blog I follow. And everything is so true...I do school in my PJs, denim skirts and jumpers can be found in my mom's closet, we never buy back to school clothes, one of us can always be found reading or writing, we check out approximately fifty books every time we go to the library...
homeschooling is awsome, but for differant reasons than these. I just get high all day instead of doing any work, than just cheat on my tests later. ya homeschooling

lol, I have been out of highschool for three years (yay for homeschooling and graduating at 16!) and I STILL use the "Public Schooler!" as an insult. :-D
I ADORE Jane Austin!
ugh! SAXON MATH! ewwwwwww. I hated the stuff.
I loved the video though! really funny and enjoyable!
Im never late. No one remembers everyday they went to public school. I do own a TV. If you think public school causes brain damage, you have brain damage. Siblings and family has nothing to do with education. Im not stressed during finals. Shop class involes acctually fixing things and not watching. you can watch your brother fix it wheather you are in or not in public school.
i wouldnt want my dad to say that inn wal-mart, that would be awkward. i can go online and check my grades anytime i want. i dont have to ask the teacher. I dont have to move ANYTHING off of my desk. My first real date is before i "Blind Marry" someone then see if i like them aahah, snowday means i dont need to go to school. You still have to. Public schooled kid is not an insult if 99% of people are... Health class consists of acctually learning something, not eating pancakes. PART 2
i have never 1 times needed to buy a book for public school. and never forgot my combination because i use it EVERYDAY. Many people go to school in pj's. You can skip school to see your siblings birth... and have a lab at the same time. We only need about 1 book at a time. not a freaken stack. Our PE is fun, today we played basketball and it was great, i dont have a school bus, i drive, or get driven, i never walk to school. why is it cruel to do work after lunch? PART 1
THIS IS AWESOME! I have homeschooled for 15 years. This is a tongue and cheek kind of video that they obviously enjoyed making and I enjoyed watching. Every bit of this is true for some homeschooler out there. If you are "annoyed" as I read one post or "irritated" you must back up and get a grip. This is funny, enjoyable, and at the end (if you made it that far without making your post) you would of seen the big "Thanks mom" at the end. Wonderfully done. I put this on my FB...
My comment was really aimed at the snooty video maker, I realise all home-schooled wouldn't be that judgmental. I haven't ever met someone who was solely educated at home but realise that they must be as varied in their outlook as everyone else- I wasn't even aware of there being a stigma attached to it and would not prescribe to such bigotry. That was the point in my original comment, the video is so biased it annoyed me.
@littlesmew It's a JOKE! You know, home schoolers are told to lighten up when they get made fun of, and told they need to study "Humour", so YOU lighten up.
You might be a schoo homer if you make the assumption that people educated at state schools are inferior to you. I went to a comp and yet still read widely and had a broad vocabulary from an early age. Just because your parents cannot afford to educate you at home does not necessarily put you at a disadvantage.
@littlesmew I was home-schooled until college and I would like to apologize on behalf of all HS kids. We aren't all arrogant pricks, just the noisy ones. I used to be like that, I don't know why parents try to teach their HS kids that they are better than everyone else. I guess it's to fight against all the prejudice but it just creates more.
I have never made that assumption. That is ridiculous and extremely faulty logic. And to assume that most homeschoolers assume this because one or two homeschoolers you met felt this way is simply ludicrous.
I loved the part about checking out too many books as both the librarian and I know my card number by heart since I go so many times. I am also on a first name basis with half the staff....
hehehe :D nice video. Definitely not all of those are true, and homework being a foreign word??? its ALL homework ;) and i must say, i am up long before most public schooled kids i know
Homeschoolers are amazing, and contrary to the popular belief that we are all a bunch of socially awkward, poorly dressed, kids and teenagers with way too many siblings; WE AREN'T! We rock, and I suggest you go listen to the homeschooler song. It tells you to "Beware the homeschoolers." AND YOU SHOULD! And yes we do have Tv, internet, and oh my gosh! WE get to use them too! =O

We rock, and I suggest you go listen to the homeschooler song. It tells you to "Beware the homeschoolers." AND YOU SHOULD!
@fallsoult777 Why? Are you mad that we are getting a better education because we aren't being passed on an assembly line barely learning anything because of lack of attention? I'm sorry, but I didn't realize that everyone should be a product of the Government! As a homeschooler, I take serious offence to this. Contrary to popular belief we in fact get a better education. Just ask all the colleges that are SEARCHING for homeschoolers.
@OogaMaga Well listen up I was HOMESCHOOLED. As an adult I don't agree with it and I hope that America wakes up and sees what this is doing to the children of this nation.
Doing to our nations children? I'm sorry, but you have no idea what you are talking about. You are using the logic that your experience somehow is the same as other homeschoolers.
I am homeschooled. I have many friends. I like sports. I loves me some music...why, I love it!
Just because your experience was bad, that doesn't mean ours is as well.
it is not! it doesn't ask you to do anything with knowledge it hasn't given you yet, and if you complete the book then you still have learned everything that was in it.. of course I was doing the 8th grade saxon in 6th grade so you may not get into algebra..
What's wrong with Saxon math? Got me into algebra seventh grade, that did.
Homeschooling is beast. Especially cause when you go back to school almost everyone is dumber than you. Seriously, grade school must be pretty boring and pointless if you still spell like a kindergardener in 7th grade. And half the kids at my school do.
I remember my first day of public school in the 2nd grade, well now I'm in the 7th grade and now that I know how to read and write better I whnt to be homeschooled. This kid at my school has already started smoking. I don't want to end up like them. I'm going to a privet high school though.
LOL!!! I was homeschooled 12 years, and even though a lot of this wan't true for me (I DID SUFFER THROUGH SAXON!! :), I have lots of friends whose homeschool life is very similar. I am now a student at a state college, and so far my "higher education" has only proved to me that homeschooling is RIGHT. The lack of motivation, initiative, and even basic comprehension skills is pathetic. However, public-schoolers don't hold the monopoly on the above. There are pathetic homeschoolers, too. :)
We homeschool, but a good portion of this was untrue for us. Only 2 kids in our family at this point and I have never worn a denim jumper, plus we sleep in late on sundays and we aren't religious. And our van only holds 8... This is true for all my homeschool friends as well, but I mainly hang around with the less religious homeschooling crowd...
@lauraisamazingness :) *none* of it was right? You've forgotten your locker combination? Your "teacher" has kissed the "principal" and people thought it odd? :) It's just a fun video.
Haha i have so went to school in my PJS when i wake up its to my friends that go to normal school calling me telling me about there day. And i have looked at the clock to see what time it is to see if i can call my friends lol. Haha this is funny and true.
There's truth in every jest, they say. Pretty funny. Yeah, mine all suffered through at least some Saxon Math. I homeschool all mine, except my oldest who has graduated on to nursing college. And guess what? They do say, "Thanks, Mom"!
@chusunhi Well, i have to get ready before I start school, my mom had me and my siblings in a hospital, ok I admit i do love books, chasing toddlers around? What? I only have two other siblings, I usually have school work until about 4:00, the walmart one is just wierd... And as shocking as i may be, I have a social life!! and most of them are NOT home schooled. I dont get a report card. I dont have dirty laundry on my desk, the diploma one is true, ive never heard the term "Homies"
@chusunhi im going chronologically with the video. My mom would not be caught dead in a denim jumper. Ive dated guys. no, i dont have homework. The snowday one is so true. Can someone say stalker? haha yeah thats true. Umm not really. Sure. Graduation is after twelfth grade. Actually my mom hates being late :) I remember every day of preschool. Yeah. and yeah again, eww! I actually do own a TV, nope. Aactually its the other way around. once again only two siblings.
@chusunhi jane austin is great but not my fave. Yes i have suffered through saxon. no. Tthat would be a resounding NO! Just reading not so much writing. sometimes. Nope. yet another no. Not so much. Its been known to happen on occasion. No, and im glad i dont! This is true :) Haha, nope. I hope this helps you see what I do! :)
HAHAHAH! OMG me and one of my best friends ALWAYS do the "You Might Be Homeschooled If......" lol being homeschooled is epic! And yes, curse the man that wrote the saxon books!
So cool and encouraging! We totally related to everything in the video! I am even more excited now to start our 12th year of homeschooling in a few weeks!
It's true, dinosaurs are still with us today in fact. They gave actually caught large carcasses of dinosaurs in the ocean. It's freaky stuff. And honeschooling Rocks!
@smashbrosfan25 No, that's what Christian fundamentalists who homeschool their kids teach. Not all people who homeschool their kids are fundies, but many are and the one's that are are a detriment to society.
Oh...and A Becka Book was some serious kick but school work! Their math was crazy!...but then you felt really smart at the end of the year, hehehe :)

Love the video! being a homeschooler myself, I relate to EVERYTHING!! Thanks for posting!

This is such bullshit!!! Homeschooling should be fucking illegal!
fallsoult777 11 months ago
@fallsoult777 YAH!!! Ban superior education. YAH!!!
Theclaidheamhmor 11 months ago
@fallsoult777 Why? Are you mad that we are getting a better education because we aren't being passed on an assembly line barely learning anything because of lack of attention? I'm sorry, but I didn't realize that everyone should be a product of the Government! As a homeschooler, I take serious offence to this. Contrary to popular belief we in fact get a better education. Just ask all the colleges that are SEARCHING for homeschoolers.
OogaMaga 10 months ago
@OogaMaga Well listen up I was HOMESCHOOLED. As an adult I don't agree with it and I hope that America wakes up and sees what this is doing to the children of this nation.
fallsoult777 9 months ago
@fallsoult777 Okay, then please, tell me what it is doing?
OogaMaga 9 months ago
@fallsoult777

"You might be homeschooled if.... you're one of 4 kids and everyone wants to know when your parents are going to have more"
lighningshock 11 months ago
@amsoil5
it is not! it doesn't ask you to do anything with knowledge it hasn't given you yet, and if you complete the book then you still have learned everything that was in it.. of course I was doing the 8th grade saxon in 6th grade so you may not get into algebra..
mrzorkmaster 11 months ago
What's wrong with Saxon math? Got me into algebra seventh grade, that did.
Homeschooling is beast. Especially cause when you go back to school almost everyone is dumber than you. Seriously, grade school must be pretty boring and pointless if you still spell like a kindergardener in 7th grade. And half the kids at my school do.
mrzorkmaster 11 months ago
@mrzorkmaster what's wrong with it? it is so all-over-the -place! I only trust Math-U-See
amsoil5 11 months ago
This is pretty much right on.... except the 5+ kids thing; I'm only child and I'm homeschooled. ;D
DreamWeaverHomie 11 months ago
I remember my first day of public school in the 2nd grade, well now I'm in the 7th grade and now that I know how to read and write better I whnt to be homeschooled. This kid at my school has already started smoking. I don't want to end up like them. I'm going to a privet high school though.

judexcellentbookworm 1 year ago
ebony88ivory 1 year ago
The only really "true" thing for me on here is that i've suffered through Saxon (sufferING actually) My mom wouldn't touch a denim jumper
sweetiep32 1 year ago
We homeschool, but a good portion of this was untrue for us. Only 2 kids in our family at this point and I have never worn a denim jumper, plus we sleep in late on sundays and we aren't religious. And our van only holds 8... This is true for all my homeschool friends as well, but I mainly hang around with the less religious homeschooling crowd...

@lauraisamazingness :) *none* of it was right? You've forgotten your locker combination? Your "teacher" has kissed the "principal" and people thought it odd? :) It's just a fun video.

chusunhi 1 year ago
@chusunhi Well, i have to get ready before I start school, my mom had me and my siblings in a hospital, ok I admit i do love books, chasing toddlers around? What? I only have two other siblings, I usually have school work until about 4:00, the walmart one is just wierd... And as shocking as i may be, I have a social life!! and most of them are NOT home schooled. I dont get a report card. I dont have dirty laundry on my desk, the diploma one is true, ive never heard the term "Homies"
kittyluver2010 1 year ago
@chusunhi im going chronologically with the video. My mom would not be caught dead in a denim jumper. Ive dated guys. no, i dont have homework. The snowday one is so true. Can someone say stalker? haha yeah thats true. Umm not really. Sure. Graduation is after twelfth grade. Actually my mom hates being late :) I remember every day of preschool. Yeah. and yeah again, eww! I actually do own a TV, nope. Aactually its the other way around. once again only two siblings.
kittyluver2010 1 year ago
@chusunhi jane austin is great but not my fave. Yes i have suffered through saxon. no. Tthat would be a resounding NO! Just reading not so much writing. sometimes. Nope. yet another no. Not so much. Its been known to happen on occasion. No, and im glad i dont! This is true :) Haha, nope. I hope this helps you see what I do! :)
kittyluver2010 1 year ago
I love Saxon! It's so much better than the math book I used at the private school I went to for 2 years. Math was the worst there.

Let's see the ones that are true about me are...
-You come to school in your PJ's
-A snow day means that you shovel the driveway after you finish school
-You have to look at the clock to see if you can call your public school friends yet
-You spend more then 2 hours each day reading and writing...voluntarily (that one is sometimes true, it depends on what I am reading)
-And a few more but I ran out of room due to the characters limit
Well that is all about to change (public school here I come)

I loled because I've been "Homschooled" my entire life, and none of this applies to me.

@IamLiterallyRetarded thats what public school teaches dingy not homeschooling
smashbrosfan25 1 year ago
@smashbrosfan25 No, that's what Christian fundamentalists who homeschool their kids teach. Not all people who homeschool their kids are fundies, but many are and the one's that are are a detriment to society.
IamLiterallyRetarded 1 year ago
@IamLiterallyRetarded No it's not. I know.
