um this game is not a "BEAT UM UP" as the video says. It is a FIGHTER. Beat em ups are games like FInal Fight and Double Dragon. There is a BIG DIFFERENCE. Fighters are 1 on 1 or 2 on 2 match style games. Beat em ups are 1 versus everyone style games. And this game ROCKS. Better than Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter II when they first came out. And Loader2K1 you're a whiny bitch. Nothing wrong with this game. Fight HARD or GO HOME, that's the name of the game. Me n friends loved this game then.

I think the concept of Time Killers was good, but the overall execution was lousy. I hate how stupidly unfair the computer can be and how ridiculously fast you can lose (as seen at 0:25). The fact that your arms can be cut off WAY too easily was also a problem I had with the game. I would have liked the game a little more if the character roster was much more diverse. Half of the fighters are from distant future worlds, with Matrix and Mantazz only five years apart from each other.

@hawanja If you play this game against the CPU enough, you learn to either block or duck as soon as the round begins; the CPU rarely starts off with a jump kick, but a good quarter to half of the time it starts with a decap-attack. So with Matrix, I'd fight someone like Wulf or Rancid (who have pretty high decaps), I'd duck their decap and then I'd counter with my own decap, and I'd usually take an arm or a head with it.

@BloodyBay Anyway, Matrix had a great all-frontal decap, a stretch punch, a lunging drop kick, a forward- or backward-moving pirhouette kick AND a jump kick which could pogo off the enemy's head indefinitely...or until you dizzied him, at which point you stop kicking, land and do a "Dizzy Decap" (taking off the head AND both arms while slicing the hell out of his torso).

Matrix is definitely the Queen of Cheese. I strongly recommend her for beginners. ;-)

There were many other violent games prior to these two, but if you mean games with fatalities then Mortal Kombat is probably the first. In case of Time Killers, though, you had the ability to execute an opponent in middle of fighting even if his health bar was full.

I have a crazy memory about this game: it was back around the 1992-1993 days, and Time Killers was at our local arcade.

My guy got both his arms cut off, and don't ask me how, but I actually defeated the other guy by kicking him to death! LMFAO.

but as far as other great feats, that reminds me of the time my buddy and I each put about 5 bucks into "Beast Busters" by SNK, and we actually beat the Boss Monster.

BUT, yours truly (aka ME) accidentally hit the button and SKIPPED THE ENTIRE END STORY after all that hard work...

To this day, 20 years later, we vow to repeat the event if we get another chance, and NO button pressing at the end. That was really bitter...
