So the rainbow is probably there to show that the house (with bug) is a kind of footbridge between god's world (the matrix) and her real "illusionary" world. If house represents "childhood innocent dreams", when agent repare it, the dream has gone. She lost her virginity, finished her childhood definitely. Last scene what u see? lot of adults who are going to work, a preconceived future.

@CaptainGeek5 Yes there is a bug in this place and the agent go to repare it. But this not what is important in this movie. this anime of animatrix is the deepest because there are a lot of details and metaphore. I am not sure of course but the white bird (the dove) is a symbol of peace and love, and I think when the dove is flying and the house become luminous this is a metaphore to represent the 1st orgasm. The last scene the girl is cut and the blood is the symbol of the virginity loss.

As for this video, it's definitely been sped up. (I own the DVD myself, so i would know.) It's only been sped up by a small factor; enough that to anyone who's never seen it before it probably looks normal. I'm assuming the reason it's been sped up was so that it would fit the normal ten minute Youtube quota.

Beyond is probably my favourite short of the Animatrix films. According to some of the comments on it on sites like IMDB, a lot of people seem to dislike it the most because it doesn't have robots, fighting, and a dramatic storyline - all of which I enjoy too, don't get me wrong.

However, I think this story implicates the most for you and me, people in the actual, modern world. The insignificant character in this short discovers that the world she is living in is just a virtual creation.
