many call your father a Pop Singer, i always considered him a folk singer in an era cluttered with Rock and Roll and he emerged above it all. He is a real genius, not only was his voice unique he penned great tunes.Kisses Sweeter than Wine will always be my favorite but he had many, you have surely followed in his footsteps
this is Michael Rodgers son of the great folk singer of the fifties and sixties Jimmie Rodgers but the song is about the country blues singer of the thirties also named Jimmie Rodgers. It is ironic that Michaels father was born the very year the older Jimmie Rodgers died:1933. Fortunately the newer great Jimmie Rodgers is alive and well. Two great legends with the same name and this young Rodgers singing this tune is quiet a voice himself, isnt he. Thanks Michael
This song was originally written and recorded by Hank Snow. This version could very well be Hank Snow

Gene Autry sang this song, but I am not sure if this is him. But it's good whoever it is. Thanks for the video.
