if you bend a gold coin or a small gram bar will it decrease the value? cause my 2 gram gold bar bended a little but you cant really tell unless you gaze at it really close..
@enforcedmarco NO it wont its still gold and unless its a really really old coin in good condition its gonna be melted down any how people are gonna tell u its worth less in a effort to hustle u
I've bought seven 1\10 oz. gold maples. They are beautiful little coins and make gold somewhat affordable, when I have the extra money. I'm going to pickup a few 1/4 oz. coins next...
Nice video its good to have all sizes of gold and silver pieces as barter and trade options. With the current state of our economy you just never know
@chamelio2 its worth 200$ in case u dont know kruggerand are 91 pure but still contain full gold content for example and maple leaf 1 ounce wieghs 31 grams
@huntz2471 Yes, Maple leafs are 999.9 % about as pure as you can get. 24 K Royal Canadian Mint does a "special run" of 999.99 % or 5 nines fine, but 99.9 is the world standard for 24 K Gold. So RCM coins are above standard in fineness and wieght.
I like small coins due to the fact that when gold goes to the moon in price you can move the 1/10 or 1/4 oz vs the 1oz and high weight sized coins or bars.
Good for bartering also in a possible economic collapse.
Haha, yeah the problem though is that when they buy them back they have two buying prices. One buy price includes a premium for coins that are still in mint condition, and the other "no premium" buy price is about 10% lower and is for coins that are not in mint condition.
Probably almost anywhere in the world you can sell it for at least the spot price as long as not everybody else is trying to offload theirs at the same time. But here in Japan maple leaves are sold exclusively by a luxurious jewelry vendor and they want only premium quality.
But I could probably sell it for way more on Yahoo Auction based on my research over the past couple days, mint condition or not. Get rid of the middle man.
@chamelio2 Well I like to know they are real. I bite them bend them, whatever. Also, why spend that kind of money and not play with it. I am not into numismatics whatsoever, so to me the value is the same because you aren't detracting weight. Hell, I might go chop one in half just for fun!!!
@chamelio2 sometimes people bend or bite coins to indicate if its real since pure gold is one if not the most soft metals u should be able to bend / dent it
I have a 1 tenth and one ounce its sweet putting them beside eachother makes the 1 ounce look bigger then b4 haha

Just got my 1/10 oz. maple leaf from APMEX, they do charge a premium over spot-but Gold is undervalued right now, so still a good deal.
