  • @JeremyImp Just curious, for what purpose? Why not just listen to the notes and transcribe them to the piano?

  • @Mulinaster I could but I don't play the piano. A performance?

  • my grandpa used to play the harp, guitar, piano, cello and yes even violin...hes still alive but age has taken his toll on him... currently i can play guitar... ive played a couple of things on a keyboard i don't own, and last week i got started on a violin

  • I remember when I was 7.

I saw dot hack SIGN on TV, and I knew from the first episode I saw that it would stick with me for the rest of my natural life.

That same year, I did my best to get a full-A report card in order to bribe my parents to get me a PS2 so that I could get the Original 4...my love only continued when I saw LIMINALITY.

I always loved this song. I'm almost ashamed that I didn't look it up over 9 years.

  • I inherited my grandpa's violin.. i wish i could make it sing just as he did when he was alive

  • How can someone dislike this? ._.

  • It's so nice ^^

  • ^.^ mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm relaxing

  • This reminds me of what happened in Oslo and Utoya, its horrible! :( This song makes me cry, and think about all the family who is in pain after their losses.. This happened in Norway, my home country. Cant stop thinking about it <3

  • @Marielas13 All of us in England to all the people of Norway we stand with you in your pain and grief . What happened was just terrible with so many young lives taken away for no reason .

  • What can I say? This is life..

  • How can 16 people dislike this? It's beautiful...

  • @Kalingrato

some people can't hear the beautiful sound of music

  • this song melts my heart.

  • totally in love with thisss!

  • I want to learn violin just so I can play this.

  • @OnnellinenPannukakku i know right..but there are so many songs i want to play like this one

  • This piece is so beautiful-33

  • Adoro los temas de esta gran compoitora!!!!!!!! 100 % fan de Yuki kajiura

  • Very similar to one of her Tsubasa soundtracks, but I can't remember which one.

  • Ms. Kajiura is one of the more talented composers today. She is obviuosly classically trained, and her music is and will be known as "classic". I don't see how anyone who claims to love music could not be touched to the core by this song, as well as many others she has composed. There are many things that separate the peoples of the globe, but the love of music such as Ms. Kaijura has composed unites us.

  • wow this is great ..I wrote a song about my grandfathers violin you might like it hon..please let me know what you think..

just click on my name and it is in my shared videos

  • My friend dislocated his shoulder and he plays the violin. I will force him to get better and play this song. ><

  • beatiful(:♥

  • too many trolls here. people lets just enjoy the song.

  • Ignorance is for the ignorant.

  • My heart is melting. If only I could put a chip in my ear and listen to it 24/7.

  • so beautiful...

  • the part 1:06 and so on felt like flying, that sudden note that soared gave me chills. this IS music! beautiful :D <33 luv it

  • magnificient

  • Very beautiful violin. However, the piano interfers...

  • @nbloomingdale No it doesn't. I think the piano is a perfect touch, the sweetest duet. Of course, that's what I think, and that's just my taste. = )

  • pure genius, music is so full of emotion it can be a lot better than just having to say anything

  • without lyrics*

  • Ah.... my heart aches.

The violin and piano combine so beautifully. - they really do fit each other and make each other tell a beautiful wonderful story. This is what music is folks, even without music- these two instruments will continue their melody by their players for the listener to be trapped in their world.- That is what I think music should always be about.

  • I don't care if you call me gay or what ever.. but this is damn beautiful!

  • Such a beautiful master piece of sound and emotion, the piano in the background keeps a nice resonation feeling of calm while the violin makes a beautiful sound of beauty and silence around... Just beautiful.

  • I'am addict on music and this music was my last overdose!!! Beautiful!!!!

  • Thank you for this beautiful musical gift.

Tomorrow, here, in Europe, will be the first day of spring and I like this song to accompany me during the transition from winter into the new season.

  • SO PRO VIOLIN! but sad song )=

  • yea sad music like this is my escape sometimes from this step by step real world of getting a job working retiring old raising a family. sometimes you just wish your imagineation could become reality such as this game and other square games

  • @Endoresu8 are you seriously asking this question? lol. even the comments below has the answer.

  • I absolutely disliked this!

Just kidding ... this is my inspiration for playing violin :)

  • fascinating song

  • im really waiting for the day i could play like that, but now my goal is piano so im gonna give it all. its a promise!!!! viva el anime!!!! y LA MUSICA!!!!!!!

  • im really waiting for the day i could play like that, but now my goal is piano se im gonna give it all. its promise!!!! viva el anime!!!! y LA MUSICA!!!!!!!

  • the music is amazing. i love how the sakura accompanies the music. they go so well together.

  • this is the song i want to hear before i die

  • Me gustó mucho esta canción, es la primera vez que la escucho, muy triste y nostalgica, bueno, al menos esa impresión me dejo, grx por este exelente video de una grandiosa composición...

  • I used to play this song with a very good friend of mine years ago, I played the piano and he played violin. Miss so much those moments :) This song is liked burned to my memory..

  • i really love listening to violin instrumentals though most of them are depressing (yes, i think so)..

but this one's not, it's sweet! it's romantic!!

  • this music is magnific this is a special song, is most beautiful what the sun rise on the mornig , and my frien mario is a stupis for she dont like the anal sex in the live is a fukin ask... i like, i love this theme

  • @pallasoDemente What the fuck.

  • This should be a video of someone cutting onions.

Then i'd have at least somewhat of an excuse for the water leaking out of my eyes.

  • My sister doesn't like this music.

I have no idea how though >.>

  • @TheJiamy Don't fret. Your sister is just absorbed in "modern" day music but when she gets her first heartache or something sad happens in her life, this is the music she'll turn to. I don't wish for that day but that's how I found Yuki Kajuira, awesome composer :))

  • Its so lovely I would even play for eveything, I can't stop listening to this, violin and piano songs are my muse

  • you know what i can't stand? people who argue and complain on a page for such a beautifull song.wanna know why i come here? i listen to this song because when i listen to it,i see my grandfather smiling.he died of leukimia lastt year, and this song helps me remember the good times and laughs ii spent with him.in short,i come here because i love my grandfather.

  • @GaarasBloodRose So if I made a song on a kazoo named Grandma's Kazoo, it would remind you of your Grandma? This song has nothing to Grandfathers or Grandma's.

  • @Maj0ra did u know that it was used in the anime .Hack//Liminality when the subject of the girls DEAD GRANDFATHER came up!? not to mention,i didn't SAY it was the name of the song that reminded me of him,i said it was the SONG.the SONG ITSELF reminds me of the good times i had with my grandfather, because my grandfather loved things like that and would have loved this song.you need to learn a little respect, and you also need to get your facts straight before you go saying dumbass things.

  • The worst is when you're watching .hack//Liminality 1 and this gets cut off but that stupid "Ahh" sound. Then you get to hear the whole thing later, but with dialogue over it... :( This is the best way, obviously.

  • a shame this song is so short !

    BUT I LOVE IT

  • somethign about this stirs something inside of me to the point where i have to give all of my attention to it. it brings up both nostalgia and euphoria at the same time to my ears, heart and soul

  • oh man i was eating cereal, then i choked on it while i was listening to this :'(

    so..so emotional and..and powerful!

    amazing.

  • All of my grandparents died when I was still a little child, so I don't remember much about them, and even though my mom assures me I loved and was loved by them, I feel sad that I can't remember that love.

And somehow hearing this takes that sadness away from me.

One day I'll travel wherever Yuki kajiura is just to thank her for the beautiful songs she has created, making me able to feel the most wonderful emotions while hearing them.

  • @MoonWaterLily Even if you don't remember, knowing helps a little, right?

I was raised by my grandparents since I have a mother who doesn't really care. They're still around, and I think I'd be a bit lost without them somteimes, even though we fight like parent and child sometimes. lol And, well, because I was raised with and by the elderly, I get called a little old lady by many. ;D

  • @sylverclaws Thank you so much for sharing your experience with me ^_^ I feel so grateful and happy that you were so nice. thank you, thank you, thank you!!

  • @MoonWaterLily lol You're welcome. ^_^

  • @MoonWaterLily

Aww... That's so sad... :( I know my grandparents but not my great grandparents very much... I only know one couple, and it was my great grandpa that died at 88 from some kind of disease... Which is still a long time...

Since I hardly knew him, I couldn't cry during his funeral, but I still felt really sad, like everyone else's sadness weighing down on me... It was the most horrible feeling... If I did love my great grandpa a lot, this song would probably make me cry... :(

  • @MoonWaterLily wow that was the gayest thing i've ever read

  • I love yuki kajiura!!

  • this song gives me goosebumps ^^

  • Yuki Kajiura is just amazing!

  • Beautiful doesn't begin to describe it. I wish her songs were longer. =( I could listen to them forever though.

  • nice melody, :D

  • wonderful

  • One of the best pieces ive heard just an art of music:)

  • i think ima learn this on my violin. id consider myself god then....lol this is quite wonderful :D

  • I think i'm in Heaven:)

  • Yuki Kajiura, you are a genius!

  • i try to play this too and it sounds good. but it's hard to mimic the glissando techniques, huh!

  • Yesterday I took my violin, and tried to play it for the first time... and it actually sounded good... Maybe I was listening to it so much, I learned it without playing^^

One of the most beautiful songs ever..

    <3

  • @AyaRiver I encounter that alot when i play its sorta fun at times. Just be careful as many people dont think i can play some songs like i say i do untill i actualy show them, as they see me fail epicaly at easier songs(such as me not being able to play big green tractor chords yet being able to play lilium).

  • @shallburn0 Nah^^

They already know if I say I can play it, then it means I can play it^^

    *even if I can't*

    x3

  • This song is very heartwarming. 8 retards missed the Like button.

  • amazing :)

  • Dam . .

  • uh,,, very sad.. nice I love it!

  • soothing my ears...x jemu mendengar

  • omg! i wanna learn this T^T i wish i could sound as good as this! im only in advanced in highschool and im already getting rusty!

  • te amoooo yuki kajiura! ahora ven a mexico

  • stop complaining about people who dislike this.

It's only a clicking mistake, they don't even have a reason to click ''Dislike'' for this piece of art.

  • @o00Bobo00o

either that, or they really dont know what good music is

    @mochabubble

thats the reason i always watch Animes subbed, if you think english dubbed animes are bad, you've never seen what german TV does with them. its almost a crime

  • Where can I find the sheet of this beautiful music...?

    Thanks

  • YUKI KAJIURA ♥ ~

  • 5 people are assholes who can't appreciate roots of music..you don't have to like it, but at least respect where music came from.

  • @xXMercifulFallXx I absolutely love this song, but you are retarded.

  • @MidnighT9029 Why?

  • This is the best violin song I have ever heard. I have replayed it so many times

  • i love tihs song ...it makes me fly ...i wish i could play violin too like this man play...:)

  • Does anyone know where to find the version of this song that was played in .hack//sign? It's only played when the players meet AI Harald and it's just like Grandpa's Violin but with no piano in it.

  • @ArtemisAstraea You can find it from .hack//liminality soundtrack

  • i thought this song was Lucy's violin song from the anime Elfen Lied?

  • @TYTD93 No, this song isn't from Elfen Lied. Maybe you watched an Elfen Lied AMV with this song? There is a violin version of Lilium, though.

  • @TYTD93 Doesn't she have a music box song? (Lilium)

  • This is awesome. :)

  • slow and beautiful.I love it

  • makes me think of tsusaka sitting on the hillside above the wave portal talking to subaru
