This is funny because this is a conversation I have had frequently with many people now that I live in Germany and I'm starting to learn the language, but not only differences between English and German but with Spanish, Russian and many others. Ich find es ist eine ziemlich gute idee und auch lustig, aber einfach ein bisschen zu übertrieben. das kann man auf alle sprachen anwenden. ich bin gerade im ausland und bekomme oft gesagt, dass wenn man mich deutsch reden hört höre es sich viel sachter an als man vermutet. Es ist zwar schon eine scharfe sprache aber man muss es nicht noch schlimmer machen und gerade als deutscher seine eigene sprache in die scheiße ziehn ist nicht gerade lobenswert!

To be able to laugh about jokes you have to understand or "get" them. But many if not most Germans don't know anything about the use of German language in English TV or movies to which your video is referring. On the other hand Brits and Americans will laugh about it because this sound of German language they are used to is normally used in a different context where it somewhat fits, which it does not at all for ILY, butterfly etc. Anyway, nice work!

@WaterFor3st It depends who's speaking it. Same with German though, the perceived "harshness" depends on who's speaking it, and what dialect of German it is. Austro-Bavarian Dialects are really ridiculous sounding, and the ones from Baden are kind of weak and soft sounding to me.As a whole I like English, although I can't stand certain dialects like Southern American and especially Ebonics.
