  • Forever ...forever in our hearts...

  • Hello from Pine Ridge,So. Dak. Beautiful Music...Thanks for sharing this...

  • very nice

  • R E S P E C T.

  • you are on INDIAN land!!!

  • @Burtuchono The land was not yours to claim, only to rent.

  • @piperdonny it was not to claim nor rent but to use as either shelter rest spots or for food nothing less nothing more that was the belief system of the natives the land belonged to everyone now it's about ownership and imo there was a curse upon them as sacred knowledge of the stars was lost around the time the natives were forced to leave and had been close to detruction

  • @knightace2002 .............Well said.

  • who are this 6 that hit disliked .... well me seems to think you must dis your selves

  • Am I the only one bothered by the numbers on the competing dancers? Did we Natives always dance in competition? Or something more meaningful?

  • @Whoyamadig natives danced for ceremonial and religous purposes (belief of the rain dances, etc.) and told stories in the dances of legends and tales man wat i would give to see one of those ceremonial precetions

  • Dear YHWY,

Please restore jurisdiction to The Native American.

    Thank you.

    Your child,

    Nadine

  • I think 6 people thought the dislike buttton meant dis-I-like :D

  • @ningwigan nope actually I'm 20. Old enough to know what is allowed and what isn't allowed in the Hopi reservation. If u read what I said properly than I wouldn't have to repeat myself in saying I'm full blood Hopi. So yeah, I think I might know a little ;) I still think pow wows are commercialized and fake. Where's the sacredness? The culture? Ohh whatever. Somebody commentbon this. Cause I'm sure this will make someone mad. Who knew YouTube had drama?

  • @0000h1234 it often does i must ask u brother wth is pow wows? and u hopi's are very wise indeed ur knowledge of the stars is rlly great as i have heard the end of days legends and have myself found the same in the stars. but most of the legends are of "Star beings" coming back down to the Earth and intermingling with humans once more and sharing knowledge agian

  • I am Mic Mac and Cherokee. After my blood parents died I found out. It explains my love for the planet.

  • natives was in america by themseves for thousands of years and knew nothing of any other race so to them they where the only race in existince they knew nothing of the bible and some how still ended up with a monothestic form of reilgon

  • You are on indian land show some respect

  • every since i can remember as a child i have always been fascinated with Native Indian culture and ideologies...so much that its my life's dream to become an environmentalist and also have the great joy of visiting these wonderful people with their permission, i hope that someday they may let me enter their homes in a way that the colonists did not. I am of Moroccan descent and i see myself as an African. may we one day all learn to live and love together, our land and each other.

  • @lalalemouna although they r protective of who enters thier lands u need not rlly ask permission now-a-days u have to go into a village and speak with an elder and see if u can stay for a period of time (which is up to u) natives were trusting and friendly to all tribes (unless attacked by a clan) until they attacked thier villages and destroyed many sacred lands and forests i still cry sometimes with knowing that until the big cities are gone the land will never recover but i have seen hope tho

  • @knightace2002 thats good to know!

  • their magic work very directly with the heart

    they are the American Druids.

  • Wonderfull

  • thats a good one: "YOU ARE ON INDIAN LAND" .....very true.

  • This video is amazing! It shows respect to native american indian culture which saddly is now wipen out by reservation system. White men doesnt understand any deeper life or like the world is in balance! White men are soulless men! They have no home in this world! White men has done good also in this world but if you measure it you will notice it would have done either greedy or by force! White man is slave in itself! May the Sun rise again tomorrow!!

  • @magemaatikko and yet a few whites were opposed to moving them to reservation there was one who lost his seat in government for saying no to the relocating of the tribes who traveled down the trail of tears he was the one who was a part of the Texas revolution and fought at the Alamo but he was only one of a few who opposed the governments decision to relocate them if the natives are to get thier land back they have to sit with the government and ask for thier lands back

  • can't you post real native American song and dance without white people influence like this one youtube.com/watch?v=xcPm0S_K6XM

  • My heart sores like the eagle when viewing this video. It touches a memory of long ago. That memory wants to stop all negativity and become like my native sisters and mothers, teachers of the old ways, in love, integerity and peace. We have recently found the Twisted Hair from long ago. I live in appreciation.. thank you Grandfather for your blessings that are received many times daily,

  • beautiful people, beautiful culture, amazing history.

  • ...Perfect magic.

  • This really sounds great! Makes me feel peacefully.. :)

  • With all my rispect for all the American Native people this is a well done vids. Thanks for sharing this video

  • @pc595 This is not originally an American Indian song. It is a traditional joik from Sami people of Northern Scandinavia. Dont get fooled to think this come from an Indian tradition...*******

  • This is not originally an American Indian song. It is a traditional joik from Sami people of Northern Scandinavia. Dont get fooled to think this come from an Indian tradition...

  • @pc595 Love your comment :) ...odlicen komentar...mislev deka sum edinstveniot vo MK so gi prati ovie videa :) ...pozdrav

  • I can never stop grieving for this world had lost its only harmonious corner and the only people who knew how to appreciate it...times gone by,too bad...LOVE this video and the music...LOOOOOOOOVE the American Indians and their culture and I STILL hope that one day we can bring it back the way it once was...when the waters ran clear, the air was clean and people happy...Another greeting and support from the sunny MACEDONIA...

  • All you people are forgeting the very point native americans tried so strongly to prove all those years ago..."We are all the same"....Even now you are arguing over the native americans being her first or being shoved away by the whites. The point of the native american tribes were to prove that The Creator didnt make us so we can compete for that land or power....He made us to test our will of equality....People have a right to opinions....But they dont have a right to try and prove them.......

  • My Blackfoot friend invited me to a Pow Wow, (I'm British so all this was new to me) and I really enjoyed it, it was fun to see the dancing, especially when it was in August and we were in a wooded valley area with lakes, it was one of the most beautiful areas ive ever seen

  • I never said I cared. All I said is I think it's funny. And I am full blooded Hopi. That's why I foundn it even funnier. I never meant to attack any of you, if that's what you think. Pow wows aren't that beautiful to me. Maybe cause I don't see it as a sacred cultural thing. I suggest going to the Hopi reservation to see real beauty. Traditions. All I'm saying is I don't thing pow wows are traditional.

You can get all butthurt but Idc. Only lames argue on YouTube :)

  • @0000h1234

    @0000h1234

citation "a REAL Hopi ceremony on here" citation end

Because it's not allowed, you should know best or read it up: the etiquette when visiting - how old are you? 19? Still got enough time to learn respect (-:

  • LOL, another sad day for ignorance. Pow wow crap? It's beauty man! Most incredible thing anyone doesn't have to pay for, it's free, it's a gift and it makes people happy. Except you 0000h1234, lol.

  • Fuck you and your chicken scratch. Most dance traditionally, because they want to. Go to a Pow Wow and experience a different culture... like all others should appreciate another. As for my Great great great grandmother. Oh, I'm sure she scratched!

  • I think it's funny they have all this pow wow crap on here than a random REAL Hopi Indian ceremony on here. What I want to know is do Native Americans know their real culture anymore? Cause I doubt your great great great grandmother competed in pow wows trying to do the chicken scratch way back in the day (:

  • @0000h1234

Why do you care? I think it is funny when someone attacks another's culture... let me tell you something that no doubt you are unaware of... if you are 3rd or 4th generation born into this hemisphere... then you have over a 97% chance of have European, African, and Native American Indian blood... so your own G-G-G-G-G grandmother probably did the chicken scratch... I doubt she called it that... but I am quite sure it was very similar!

  • I love the picture at 2:02

I think that Native American Warchiefs should be at the place of "american" presidents

  • Let the spirit live within you always

  • Peace to all in 2010

  • navite american are the best... love them respect them...this is there land...

  • Great video and I really like this song by sacred spirit and the documentary on the Trail of Tears is a video I highly recommend it

  • MARAVILLOSO!! GRACIAS POR ESTE VIDEO

  • come around here and start saying the songs not native or not..just give the dude some credit for the nice video he created! (:

  • you know what sucks? native americans/ indigenous peeps will always remain as conquered tribes. the reservations is their home now. at least their getting benefts from the gov... some. im mexican in another tribes territory, i think the dead still walk these plains, because no one is free in this stolen land. a curse as plagued this sacred continent, no one is free here.

  • I agree.Once white man set foot on this land was the last day anybody was ever free. This is NOT "Land of the free" nor will it ever be again. It's very sad.

  • Not just "white man", only those who seek to control....

  • I agree with you. And I am Asian. I migrated here in the U.S. in 2002. And I am visiting sites like this one. In a way, this is some form of paying respect to the native Americans. The more I learn about the history of this great land. The more I understand why some natives are so reserved. The past, the injustices is still here. Lingering. I am having goosebumps while I am making this comment. I can feel the hair at the back of my nape...

  • Yuh!, This is nice

  • la danza circular.

  • I've got Native American blood from my mother's side (Sauk/Sac/Misquakie), and I am saddened in my very soul to have never been able to be part of these beautiful people's culture. I was born too late...

    Peace

  • Great culture great people indeed I am from Greece and I never met a true Indian, i only met them from books documentaries and throw my imagination, which was enough to love them for their kindness for their way of life and for their wisdom ! Blessings to you all and may your culture and costumes never die!!!

  • mi ha accompagnato nel percorso più bello della mia vita: Il mio più grande amore.....SPIRO!

  • Love this - brilliant.

    Blessings and gratitude to you

  • the wolf could not say from its mouth the words aah or laa because wolf's tunga mouth was too too long, so the wolf call was ohoo ohoo ohoo to prey to allah all mighty up above the moon the sun the star's and beyonder and all around in spiritual. aslaam waley come

  • The native american culture , was a culture like no other. They knew more about the earth than most today in my opinion. They have alot to teach the cultures of today and we alot to learn from them. They should never have been forced to sell there lands or made to move to reservations. They were there first

  • yeah ok there mr jungle man

  • what did i say?

  • In spite of people thinking like ye,in spite I'm white-I found Red,Yellow and Black knowledge with no problem!

And I'm more than grateful to ALL Brothers and Sisters - cause white knowledge is mostly bullshit NOW.

"Ask properly and ye will will get what ye want, search and ye will find. But don't look for History, Look for MEMORY."

  • The same thing you can say about siberian natives

  • @jend1497 we say w eown these lands,w edont we are tyrants who stole the lnad from our brothers, they truly knew what it meant when it is said "i feel i am a part of the earth

  • We did not evolve from monkeys. There are plenty of scientists who opose evolution and it now is a very weak theory

    with 3 missing links.

  • love these people

    love the drums

    love the flutes

    wolf, dancing,....

love the music its primal and free feeling

    thank you

  • thank you

so I pray that I can dance .I pray that Creator will see fit for me to dance another year

    many good blessings to you

  • This reminds me of my childhood, at age 6, in Gallup, New Mexico. I only wish I knew then, what I know now. I would have appreciated it soooo much more then, ...Blessings to the tribe..M. Claire

  • great video

    this songh is beautiful

  • yes great vid, thank you for sharing catterpillar ;-)

  • Thank you kindly...Honor to you and your people. Many have tried to heal the rifts between those who were here, and those that came later. What matters most is that the way forward is equal; whether side by side or apart...but nonetheless equal for all. Your video clips and pics are a wonderful merger of watching old and new combine. Does your heart not show you that this is the way it shall be? Food for thought perhaps? Old wounds die hard though.

  • europe and east people cold leave them alone when they discovered real americans.

  • beware the evil government. soon they will persecute allfree in spirit just as they did these great people. reservations are nothing more than concetration camps

  • I don't remember any jews owning nice casinos in Warsaw circa 1942

  • beautiful music, by the way

  • I own the Sacred Spirit CD, I have had 5 copies of it so far I keep burning them out. Absolutely love it. Rocked all my babis to this music and they all love it too....so good for my head!

  • im so glad this great culture hasnt been wiped out

  • Great nation!

  • im from italy, american distroyed indian country and iran iraq and korean fire atomic bomb. american killer olweis. bye assassins

  • I think we should give the all the land back to the Natives before there's nothing left.

  • what about the tens of millions of half/part bread indian/anglo americns. the ones who were never allowed to learn there heritage from there family members, because being Indian was worse than being a nigger? HUH? we are entitled to this land as well. i am not sure if i am phrasing this correctly, but those like me will understand. i wish native Americanism could become mainstream, just as much as the crappy rap, or rock. REAL American music!

  • Nice music, I like indians. In my last live I was Mayan priest.

  • no, u weren't. you were a Tewa Shaman from Toas.

  • Hear me, my chiefs. I am tired. My heart is sick and sad. From where the sun now stands, I will fight no more forever

  • I am defending my people just as you are defending yours also I am not spaming this forum like renato555

  • what's that

  • Please don't include slavic european nations in your comments such as Chechoslovakians and the Polish as we are very respectful of natives, and please don't compare us to the English. Response to all those mentioning whites.

  • Your response does not make sense to what I have said, also your other responces aren't quite well thought out.

  • thank's I like to drink but I don't like to get drunk, I like good alcohol. But I don't touch drugs not even mary j so don't even think of going there. I like Portugese wine,Cuban Rum, Polish German and Chek beer and Scotch.

  • renato555 thats very pathetic of you sitting on this forum instigating arguments and waiting for coments to your responses. As for me I won't write any more so go ahead insult me more. ladyqweFnation made and posted a beautiful video which I go back to watching over and over again.

  • I really believe the time for forgiveness is at hand.

  • Mi'kamq man from Canada. It really is time to put an end to blaming Europeans for all the evils of the world. They are human beings just like us. Subject to the same imperfections and capacity for evil as we are.

  • the conquistadors had a choice they could have left like the vikings left.

  • That's why they made multicultural Canada so there won't be an uprising, theres no one to fight. I am Polish and feel sad for natives.

  • the great spirit gave me a gift, the gift of tomorrow,i have the sealed text of the bible ,the future edition,i have great medicine in my eagle rock,i read rugs,i have much to tell so please watch my videos and contact me, drhoecker aka vision.i know tomorrow my brothers,my text talks of buffalos.peace

  • Great video. I luv it!

  • simplemente hermoso.

  • the real owners

  • I LOVE INDIANSSS....

  • I'm sorry to spoil your fun, but this is actually indigenous Scandinavian (Sámi), not native American. The singer is Terje Tretnes of Karasjok, Norway. Virgin used a recording for Dutch TV without persmission. The original title is "Normo Jovnna Luohti". For another version with Sámi lyrics (conveniently deleted by Virgin), look for Normo Jovnna by AIGI on YouTube. Virgin is sued for copyright infringement. Sámi joik and Indian chanting is very distinct, funny you cannot tell the difference.

  • You're cool and forgiven.

    -full Blood 4/4

  • N~A~T~I~V~E- says it all. ;) Beautiful video!

  • Thanks for the lovely pictures with the music. I have the tape and I love it.

  • Love this vid...and it has one of my favourite pieces of music to it...some days i feel lost...but the native ways bring me back...my man is native american although we haven't met we are connected...i am disgusted with the way the white man has behaved toward a very strong and beautiful people...i don't know where my roots lay but being white does not fit me... maybe one day i will find out...thank you for sharing this....

  • i just ran across ur note and wanted to comment on it.

whats done is done alot of us dont blame the whites but try to teach our childern to be proud of who we r.

respect, and greet others like brothers and sisters.

  • i am part NA part Hispanic and part Anglo

i feel DAMN proud and connected to my Native roots, my grandmother, my aunts and great Aunts, my cousins, my father

as i am sure many of mixed heritage feel.

WHY do people like CaptainStriker and others feel it necessary to go around provoking Hate and generalizing all people of European decent???

  • Fucking love to ya natives,Fuck the europeons who took ya lands and heritage the fucking pricks. You should liek try and resurect yaself so to speak, and try and make people realise the errors of the 21st century ways.

  • same here...same here

  • Hate is the most infectious, dishonoring demon we let in to our hearts, please think, pray and becarefull of what you say. Once the words have left your lips they can never be taken back. Megwich

  • fuck white ppl wat have you dun!!!

  • of course because "white people" only took the first nations peoples land and sent their children to residential schools and caused a Global Genocide which is by far the worst in the world. They took their language from them, raped their children, abused their children, starved their children and taught them how to become "servants" to ungreatful, disrespectful, IGNORANT, SELFISH white people. ARE YOU saying people in today's society behave like angels? Well ur wrong..to be continued

  • Nobody deserves to be tortured or raped. Not your children or their grandchildren. You want the best for everybody not just yourself.

  • because look what we have today, we have people like yourself who claim to be smart but who are more likely ignorant. The white people did nothing to help the First Nations people, all they did was cause a Global Genocide. They Stole their land and sent their children to residential schools; they raped, starved, abused and demoralized these poor inocent children. From your point of view they were "civilizing" them but no they werent they were training them how to become servants to white people.

  • Please explain to me the facts that i'm "clearly" not Seeing. You mean where the white settlers tortured the First Nations people; oh and i'm not just speaking about torturing the First Nations people what about the African Americans? Was that not torture, did they get what they deserved? I'm actually not sorry i don't see you twisted white washed ways. Oh and what about the mauri in New Zealand, and the Aboriginals in Australia? Need I go on?

  • The white people were not more powerful than the Billion First Nations, if they wanted a war they would have sent all the White Settlers back to where they came from. The First Nations people were never raised to kill, they are humble people, their beliefs; respect all life and all nations. They were kind and generous to welcome the settlers on their land. ....p,s you should stop arguring with a 19 year old, you're 40, you're stuck in you're ways and that's all there is to it.

  • i'll pray for you

  • truth be told the beginning of the end was when the Spaniards invaded the New World bringing disease and death to the Native people. Read your history. However to hold the present people responsible and carry anger towards them is dishonoring all. Keeping the culture alive and presenting it with pride should be the way. Hate just breeds hate.

  • I'm Polish and I Approve this message Native People are Still Native,, and Respect

  • Native americans came from Central asia, Source for Haplogroup Q (Kets, Selkups etc)

  • no not all!

  • No, we didnt..

  • Uralic Song !!

  • I agree with you and being a Native American. Its his immature way of saying "I will never consider anyone natives if they don't look natives". To me thats just ignorant and immature. You can say I'm a native, I'm a native... a native to what? Take some pride in your heritage. Thats why when people ask are you a native or an indian, I say I'm a Dakota Sioux. Thats the point i was trying to make. Sorry it didn't come out as clear as i wanted it to.

  • ye, but the things done to indians in the past are not something to be proud of...
