Dave had that distinct drumming style. He could also sing while performing difficult drum riffs, so he could perform backing vocals... Dave was the coolest member of nirvana (at least for me). Too bad Krist didn't want to join the Foo Fighters (he said it would seem too much like an attempt to revive nirvana) that would have been an awsome duo to have in the band.
