@ivfummi Good question. Obesity is associated with increased risk of tailbone pain. But I have seen many atients who have developed coccyx pain after dramatically losing weight (e.g. losing 110 pounds after a stomach-bypass surgery). The theory is that dramatic weight loss includes weight loss at the gluteal/buttock region, decreasing the padding while sitting (although I am certainly NOT recommending remaining were becoming overweight as a way to treat tailbone pain). Your amazing thank you so much I fell off of my truck last year could not feel my waste down for a minute then I thought it might not be an issue but I m having pain everytime I sit. I m taking your advice and seeing a specialist. Thanx A++++
