i downloaded the game (version 1.17 + patch) and i have 2 problems

because some textures are white, but thats a minor thing, the problem is that when i was playing my game freeze at one moment when i used quicksave, and since when i open game and click ESC during intro the game freezes, same when i just dont skip intro and wait until menu will pop the game also freezes, need help :[

i have windows 7, i fixed the problem but only for some time

i downloaded 1.21 patch and installed, than a new arx fatalis icon showed on my desktop, well i didnt have my saves, but i could play and textures were normal, but than same situation, in level 3 when i was on the elevator i used quicksave, and now the same, game freezes all the time :( i removed arx fatalis from my computer and now i try to download new one

OKAY, let me set things straight. This game is not the child of Daggerfall, Arena, or Morrowind. It isn't related to Shadowrun or any of those other games. It is based off of Ultima Underworld I and II and is supposed to be a tribute to them. If you haven't played either of the Ultima's, and you like this game, you really should go and play them. They're old, but, far worth the effort as they are extremely good and very similar to this in many ways.

@puppylove14 Uh, yeah technology can. Think about games like Crysis, when it was released hardly anyone could play at max without unloading a ton of cash on the latest graphics. This game looks just as good as Morrowind which was released around the same time. 2 years for technology, especially when it is booming, allows for immense upgrades. Also, look at Halo 1, looks pretty much the same as this. You are comparing a 6 year old game with an 8 year old game.

@CoolKabbage i didnt look at the reviews i just cant play a game that looks like they just threw it together it has to have a BOOM factor if you know what i mean not trying to be mean i pretty sure it is a good game and all just not i would sit around and wast 30 hours of my life on if it had a better fighting system and didnt take as long to collect items i may think about trying it but a game has to have a very good story line for me to be interested in it ACTION from the start

@puppylove14 They didn't just throw it together. It is old, this was some of the best graphics at the time. You aren't making any sense. This isn't Call Of Duty where it is fast paced and arcadey, this is a slow, time consuming RPG. Some people like those, some don't.

A First Person RPG where your past is not explained, you start in a prison, break out in to a dungeon, then kill rats... something smells of Oblivion...or rather, Oblivion now smells distinctly of Arx Fatalis... But watching on, I like the way they've done the physics and puzzles, that appeals to me. Looks good for an Xbox-era game :p

@Artificialraven Well, it took 2 years, but over 69,000,not as obscure as you thought. But then GOG.com didn't exist back then! By the way Arkane have released the final 1.21 patch and the source code for the game! Might yet see some mods for the game! :)
