It is definitely not the original band & every artist on the show sang to tracks. D-train had his own track. the bands history francisdepuydt got it right. They where just studio musicians & put together tracks they released. Back in the day there where groups from NY. That played on each others hits, and they had no desire to leave NY. hearing their songs on the radio & being released was enough. They would be a group just long enough to make an album and then spilt 2 other groups/projects

I've always wondered...when singers "perform" over recorded tracks like these are doing, is it because they don't know the song well enough to actually play it, or is it because they CAN'T play it for some reason? Anyone who is familiar with the record knows the record is playing and not the "band".

the singer is Rick Brennen...late Change singer.... but not on this tune!!!...original vocalist was Ike Floyd.... Brennen an the girls are singing over the original song (1980) ....bass was played by Davide Romani....guitars by Paolo Gianolio...keyboerds by "Maestro" Mauro Malavasi!!!

some original players were Davide Romani (bass), Paolo Gianolio (guitars), Terry Silverlight (drums) & keyboards by Malavasi himself...

original lead vocals by Ike Floyd...you can hear him under the "ooows" and the "yeahs" of those singers...

He was only 34 years :(

Oh my goodness, I never seen this band perform. It's amazing how the background vocals sonund as thought they originally did in the 80's,HMMMM could it be lip sync? I hear horns where are the visiuals for them?

what happened to the guitar player? The original guitarist for the band is the extremely talented Chieli Minucci(Special EFX).

Unfortunately this is NOT the BB&Q Band but artists who (illegaly) pretend to be during a Tribute To The Disco Funk event in Paris-Bercy. The BB&Q Band has never existed as a real live act or a touring band, they were a studio project! They might have done a few promotional live gigs in 1981 and 1982 in different line-ups but that's it! What you see is former Change lead vocalist Rick Brennan and a few other artists performing (lip-sync) as BB&Q Band. Poor show!

Ike Floyd was, but just for one album. Kevin Robinson and Curtis Hairston (+) also were lead singers of the 2 following B.B. & Q. Band projects. B.B.&Q. Band was a studio group. Malavasi, Romani, Trevisi, Gianolio, Silverlight, etc. were the real guys behind B.B.&Q. Band.
