That video game doesn't derive itself strictly off of the cartoons because if it did then Oracle shouldn't answer Batman in Arkham Asylum or City because Joker never paralyzed her in the cartoon series continuity.

Cartoons were based on materials from the comics, yeah, same as the Arkham games. They're completely separate stories, not meant to be taken as one set of stories. It's not that complicated.
