  • An R1? I know someone that lives in the Ring and own plenty of R1s to his name and a select few that can do 7:20s BGT... *wink wink wink* :)

  • U ended the timer too early because u didnt stop the timer where u started and thats like 20secs difference but still fast lap nice job.

  • @lolxradioxlol Read the title. BTG. Bridge To Gantry. Only way to time a lap on a public session.

  • BALLS OF STEEL

  • P.S. I fthat lap was done on a Yamah R1 street Bike, then someone needs to do it on either a BMW 2012 S1000RR, an Aprilia RSV4 Factory, or the New Ducati 1199 Panigale Tricolore. I could see a sub 7 minute lap from a good rider who knows the Nurburgring on any one of those Bikes.

  • @The80shilling Trust me when I say that you do NOT want to hit every apex on the Nordschleife on a motorcycle. There are plenty of places where the perfect turn-in or apex is just not possible due to a bump or depression.

  • @nurburgdale it's the same with cars, the ''best'' line most of the times isn't the best line in the ring.. too many bumps that cause loss of traction etc, etc but that's why this track is so great... you need to know it if you want to survive.. lol

  • Really good job on that time!

You are right; it takes massive balls and skill to ride a Motorcycle that hard. On a Motorcycle, you crash at those speeds in close proximity to those barriers and trees you probably die. Car? Airbags, body dings but you live.

Comments: at least 20-30 seconds was wasted by being held up by traffic; The rider missed 60% of the Apexes in the corners and went wide a few times. With a better rider and a clearer track, I bet you could take 30+ seconds off that lap.

  • He feels like the original Ghost Rider real calm and confident while taking risks

  • @c5 mattes92 Bei der Antoniusbuche fängt die zeit an zu laufen und stoppt kurz nach der Döttinger höhe...fehlen also knapp 2 km zur vollen Runde wenn ich mich nicht irre...

  • @wiesenkoenig1 About 1.6kms and 22seconds, not counting the disadvantage of a standing start from the nordschleife zufahrt

  • ....haha, start und ziel sollten aber schon an der gleichen stelle sein!!! ansonsten super...

  • @wiesenkoenig1 Wieso, sind doch die üblichen Stellen.

  • i did a poo watching that fucking fast

  • This bloke is a fucking nutcase. And brilliant with it!

  • Impressive graphics? If not sarcastic that's the best comment ever. How would you do a full lap on a bike? Motorrad is a training course, going that fast would get you removed from the day (either the organisors would get scared, or the other customers would complain), if you were even able to do free lapping. The DSK days involve sitting around waiting for helicoptors after DMSB licence holders that don't know the track get picked up. There is no option 3 - that is why its not a full lap.

  • wow impressive graffics what game is that?

  • @carlosandleon ULTIMATE SUPERBIKE, available now for RealLife OS. Cost €11,995 plus several years of training.

  • @nurburgdale and some huge balls.

  • uff.........que viaje

  • uff que viaje

  • While watching that I clamped my legs together, went dry in the mouth, felt ill, nervous, held my breath and enjoyed every minute. Great video, great ride, well done Sir!

  • What did you do with the sprockets?

    +1 in the rear only?

  • Wow, with traffic!

  • 7m26sec and with traffic

  • anyone else moving head along with it XD

  • There`s to much traffic for a7m26s!! I´also think its a fake!!

  • @habimut That's because he didn't do it in 7m26s. The timer starts under the 'BILSTEIN' advertisement towards the end of the last straight and ends under the 'Audi R8 V10' advertisement at the start of it. So it's not a full lap.

  • @MrsShadowBroker this is a full lap, all the car times are based on this because the main straight is discluded. Thats where you come on and off the track

  • @daWKin548 Not really, e.g. YPd0ATqvoJM

  • @MrsShadowBroker fair enough haha, some are based on slightly shorter laps, the shorter laps are when the track is open to the public, the zonda lap was closed?

  • @daWKin548 that's true, and the zonda lap was definitely closed which makes the bike's lap that more impressive, but you probably have to add on 20-30 seconds for the missed straight.

  • @MrsShadowBroker then minus 20-30 seconds again cos there would be no traffic on the closed full circuit ahha

  • @daWKin548 Maybe, but we'll never know. Anyway, my previous point still stands :)

  • i bet this this is a 600 and not a 1000cc

  • Holy sheeet ! that was breath taking !!!

    good work :)

  • Overtaking on the right is forbidden while these tourist opening times.

  • This was not a full lap!

The fastest complete lap ever recorded was a 7:49 and it still exists...!

  • Best lap Ever of the Nurburgring on a bike ive ever seen! Its a shame you got held up so much otherwise i reckon you would have been in the late 6's. Amazing ride!!

  • Eschbach crest, Brunnchen 1 and 2 and Eiskurve all run wide and don't really hold a line. Then it gets full up of people. Mind 25 overtakes isn't too many.

If the rider reduced the spring preload a bit and increased the rear rebound it might stay on the ground more. An click or two of low speed rear compression should help with the running wide. Getting the thing stood up and fired out of corners properly would help too.

Anyway, room for improvement. Keep at it. 7.5 out of 10.

    ps fake :-)

  • Angstkurve is a complete clusterf-ck. Steilstrecke looks slow but it always does feel like you could do it better. The Karrussel is a bit messy, too high in the panels. And it sounds a gear too high. 146 might be flat... it ought to be flat but what if its not. Hmmm. Then there is lots of traffic and pushing people out of the way isn't really on.

  • It does go airborne into Sx though.. Foxhole is ok bar the traffic, but the run into AF is a bit messy and slow. The way out of AF isn't aggressive enough.

Insufficient braking force is a factor in all bar the downhill braking zones. Wehrseifen.. taxi for one to the apex! Breidscheid is messy. And slow. And let it wheelie ffs out of Ex Muhle.

Bergwerk is surprisingly slow speed. Work needed here.

  • Bit slow really isn't it... several incidents of running wide like at T13, or into Breidscheid particuarly. And Eiskurve)

Starting out on tyres not fully warmed through (listen to the engine note before Hoheichen, after its revved much harder). And running something a bit stickier and fresh wouldn't be bad idea.

Flugplatz isn't straight, and goes a bit unstable. Should have had throttle on earlier and harder, but the wiggle caused a delay. Less flying is better for the run to Schwedenkreuz.

  • Nice lap :)

  • Do you have more recorded laps from this day?

  • This guys ability and skill are mind blowing - I've been riding 20years now and I've never seen anyone as good as this - this guy should enter the TT!

  • high modded 04 R1

  • At those speeds one tiny mistake = RIP.

  • Great lap! One of the best I've seen. :-)

  • pheeeew, thats some mean riding.

  • big balls!!

  • Awsome ride man thumbs up!!!!!!

  • 6:34 nice part:P

  • this is a 600cc bike

  • @danteoverlord Nope, it's a 1000cc. I have seen it with my own eyes.

  • @nurburgdale oh ok, i just thought its a 600 bcs it did only like 266 on the straight

  • @nurburgdale you have seen it it your own eyes, yet you suspect it to be? shouldnt you know it then?

  • @Lindholmer5k The rider of the bike may in fact need an element of mystery around his identity so that he can go to work and live his life without fear of reprisals. So let's just say it's 'probably' an R1 and I 'probably' no what I'm talking about. If you can't read between the lines any more than this, please buy some glasses and/or eat more carrots.

  • @nurburgdale like this is the only R1 in the world..

  • Maybe the driver should add the time between the Audi Bridge and the Bilstein Bridge to the 7m26s. round about 30 sec.

  • FAKE

  • @Crasy007 Best compliment ever. ;)

  • @nurburgdale you gotta the 7:17 pass that Andy did on the GSXR 600?

  • @TurboNosHayabusa1 Nope - but I've seen it and it points mostly at the floor. Stunning time though.

  • @nurburgdale I just got the vid... could mostly see the floor and the left glove... that's a waste... what bikers gotta do now is get one of the fastest bikes we have and set it up for the 'Ring and let Andy ride that shit to prove to the whole 4 wheeled world that bikes aint that slow around the ring... :) Im sure with todays tech and bikes, that is more than possible... :)

  • @nurburgdale Where is this video? I was looking for it some time ago, but couldn't find it. BTW good job, wanna see more.

  • @Crasy007 Bollocks.

  • Holy shit, you are fuckingggggggggg crazy!!!! Pfff. But you know what you are doing with your Bike! In Germany we say: verdammt dicke Eier.

  • insanity! fuck this. after driving the ring in my evo im NEVER gonna try out a bike there. at least never with cars around

  • Better vid quality would be nice, but anyhow: excellent ride, thanks.

  • where/how did you get the telemetry on screen??

  • Andy Carlisle has lapped faster on a modified GSX-R 600.

  • @ShamanWS6 Yep, and he made an awesome video of the bar-end while he did it. ;-) If you read the story on the main site, I explain there are two faster videos out there... :)

  • It's a good thing I don't go to the track. I'd think I could keep up with a guy like that and wind up getting a lot more than my ego crushed.

  • Motorcycles top out at whatever you gear them for, its cheap, easy and only requires a new set of sprockets. Hence full race versions (230+hp) topping out at 190mph at isle of man.

  • thats a r6 you can see it in the shadows the outline is pretty much the same and its defo not a 1000cc only maxing at 250ish

  • Sorry, let me clarify. A true R1. 20 valve baby! I'd bet money on that.

  • It's an R1, I know the sound WFO but would Never attempt this! Sometimes it seems like not the most optimal line but I'm pretty sure he's avoiding crappy tarmac. He risked it all for our enjoyment. RESPECT!

  • I know the guy in fact I went pillion with him, its an R1. and trust me he is genuinely quick.

  • Absolutely stunning.

I suspect the rider is one very talented individual.

    Respect

  • what happened before klostertal ? wrong gear dear ... no, not the fastest. even you can do better and i am shure you know.

  • Its faster than youtube stream...thats for sure :)

  • Andy, was this you?

  • @dzij4 Ghostrider wishes it was Ghostrider... ;-)

  • the bike is YZF- R6

  • @ttcontodas For many millions of reasons... no. Just, no.

  • @nurburgdale I think he is right... The sound just doesn't fit, but the speedo looks more like a 600 than a kilo... believe me, i ride a 2009 R1 and kesselchen where he gets fastest 245km/h... with a kilo you can reach 260 - 270 easily.... So either the datarecording is not right or the bike is just a 600...

  • @Speedy00 Kesselchen is a massive uphill gradient. It's a 1000cc. Trust me on this. There's an outside probability that I know.

  • @nurburgdale I know.. I rode about 150 laps in the past 3 years... half with a cbr 600 honda, and the other halt on my r1... Maybe the datarecording is just not that correct?!

  • @Speedy00 It's a liter bike for sure (assuming its mostly stock engine). He hits 273 kph at the end after just shifting into 6th before he lets off. Thats 169mph with with the rest of 6th gear left to go. Keep in mind with data logging systems they are usually speed corrected and no stock 600 is doing 169mph at the top of 5th gear. It's a liter bike.

  • @theookie absolutly! stock speedometers are up to 10% over correct speed! And recognising the acceleration, this bike beats my own 165 bhp, 1000ccm Superbike! I believe no R6 to accelerate that fast!

  • @ttcontodas doesn't rev high enough for starters!

  • @ttcontodas IDIOT

  • @ttcontodas if this is r6 it is moded because he do 200-250 in 4.7 second just like an r1ofcorse if the that dataloger is correct ! bike like this need around 160-170 hp to do this even the wss bike dont have that much power i sopose 140 maybe 150 hp

  • This guy needs to start a 2 wheeled ring taxi. :)

  • 2:07 CRX ;]

  • such a great video... love it.

  • 7:28 - Best part ! ! YAHOOOOOOOOOO

  • Thumbs up if you watched the whole thing.

  • what kind of bike?

  • It was recorded with a video vbox, the data overlaid in realtime. Explain how on earth it could be faked.

  • I believe the frame-rate on this video is altered! This might not be the whole truth. I wish he was that quick, but I doubtly agree with that

  • 1:28 he had problems with braking, just a little movement and he kisses the ground. 4:18 whoops! Great driving!

  • @davidpoiu62

    4:18 - 225 km/h in the corner on one wheel - nice :-)

  • Bloody tourists.... Why do they not use their mirrors??!! Can't they see he's actually going for it?

  • notice: Not one dislike. And this guy was held up by car and other bikers....And how do you get all of the data? Can someone explain this to me?....And if you wipe out,,,it's gonna hurt...and he's riding a 600

  • notice: Not one dislike. And this guy was held up by car and other bikers....And how do you get all of the data? Can someone explain this to me?....And if you wipe out,,,it's gonna hurt

  • notice: Not one dislike. And this guy was held up by car and other bikers....And how do you get all of the data? Can someone explain this to me?

  • notice: Not one dislike. And this guy was held up by car and other bikers

  • notice: Not one dislike.

  • When entering the back straight, this guy, in traffic, was about 4 seconds ahead of this pro rider (/watch?v=rCOt78MB5vM) on a closed course . Unbelievable. Those guys towards the end were cooking too! I wonder if this guy is a pro rider as well.

  • @cyphear02 he's gotta be. the way he took out those other knee-draggers was pretty pro; and the way he handled those two banked turns was really well done too. He knows the track and seems to be a really frickin good rider

  • 480p...we meet again

  • i guess he knows this track...oO

  • sooo boring. better skydive to impress :)

  • Zobaczcie, że nie miał czystego toru i kilka razy zwalniał kiedy mógłby tego nie robić przy czystym torze. Jakby jechał na czystym torze to mógłby mieć nawet 7minut jak nie mniej.

  • Well this time is BTG, so shorter than the iPool lap record

  • if did Dude be on the track solo he can beat GT-R 2011 with no prob....Resp for the driver.

  • Awesome.

  • dude could have cut off few more seconds if there was no traffic!

  • great ride I wonder what a pro rider like rossi or lorenzo can do on this track

  • @mapko15 Would indeed be interesting. But I think no professional rider will risk his health to attempt a record lap on the Nürburgring. It's dangerous enough on 4 wheels; going full-out on 2 there is deadly. This rider sometimes had to keep a safety distance from the apex and probably couldn't fully lean into the curves because the road is so bumpy. I'm sure there are many potential optimizations, but taking them would be a huge risk.

  • @code255 I don't think you know very many motorcyclists lol..

  • @mapko15 They'll probably shit their one-piece-tailor-made-kangaroo-leathers :) This is more suited for the IOM-TT guys

  • I am impressed ...

  • Respect!

  • Awesome job!! Be Safe! (well, as much as possible) :D

  • congratulations to a very brave man :D

  • @loster88 agree. I would never be able to do that, no matter how special is the bike.

  • Could of been a sub 7'20. Nice riding. Hope to at least visit this track sometime in my lifetime.

  • He would be on his third beer in the bar by the time I reached wipperman.

  • 1:28 Holy shit you're staring death in the face on that one if it goes wrong

  • The Stig on two Wheels.

    Great !!!!

  • Bit of a 'moment' at 6:47

  • @richardmajor86 Nothing unusual on the track, and definitely not a big deal if you're as loose on the bars as you should be. I'm sure it was nothing out of the ordinary for someone who can ride like that as he's probably got a LOT of track time under his belt.
