The wolf population is out of control. They are wiping out the elk population. They really need to be thinned out.

need to be controlled...population wise. you should know this. is that your home...in the woods? trying to enjoy mountain living. well, that used to be habitat for wild animals and YOU claimed it as your own. driving those animals away. please have some common sense and realize this is not 1890 where fish and wildlife services were not needed. WE HAVE TO CONTROL AND MANAGE ALL OF OUR GAME...WOLVES INCLUDED. they are not some mystical creature. they are a predator, just like a cougar or coyote.

brian1821x, why dont you understand that wolves, like any other animal, such as deer, elk, bear, cougar, etc., need to be managed. you cannot introduce them let them run rampid. especially an effecient killing machine like that! these animals dont always kill JUST for food. THAT IS A FACT! i dont agree that we introduced a non native species, but rather a sub species. there are only two species of wolves...timber (grey) and red. regardless, as a native idahoan and hunter, i feel always animals

These vicious killing machines are two times larger than our native timber wolf, and they have no place here. NOTE THE SIGNIFICANT CHANGE IN ELK DISTRIBUTION WROUGHT BY WOLVES. This is similar to what was observed in both Banff and Jasper National Parks in Canada when wolves naturally decolonized those areas. The habitat is still there, but the elk no longer are-----this is a clear example of WHY HABITAT IS LARGELY IRRELVANT!
