Also, another reason why its totally fake, the static in the radio is a soundbite that comes on macs. I experimented with video editing before on a mac and i recognize the sound, especially the garbled voice at the beginning of the sound right when it cuts out. 1:08 is where the garble is

anything that shows the monster so obviously or shows public explosions i would be wary of being fan made. JJ abrams is smarter then that so I find it hard to believe that if they do use viral marketing they would use such obvious videos. After all the effort making websites like the Slusho as nothing but a viral marketing ploy, why would they suddenly decide "hey, look everyone, it's a monster." No, if they use virals again it will hold true to the mysteriousness of the first virals

These people for some reason think the only way to convince people that it's a movie is to put in a poorly rendered CG explosion... try, oh, I don't know, a snipet of the monster. Yeah, a bit harder to fake THAT, isn't it? Seriously. Yes, I know, the nature of the hand-held film lends it's self to people with handy-cams and some animation knowledge who want to play hoaxes on the masses, most of whom are sadly below the necessary level of intellect required to grasp that it's clearly fake.
