  • Dam hippies get out of 'Merica we don't need your verbal polution here. Lol

  • Probably the most hilarious use of a "Professional Driver On Closed Course. Do Not Attempt" disclaimer I've ever seen on a car commercial.

  • Listening to all the hippies on this comment board makes me want to light a forest on fire, drive away in an RV, while running over endangered species, and spraying an aerosol can on the way home.

  • you're selling your soul to the devil Mike.

F150 is for small minded idiots who destroy our world.

  • @DanFrederiksen Exactly. The smart people who care about the world drive F-450 Super Duties.

  • ROFL "Actual braking demonstration" If I have a few 10,000K around, I'll give it go!

  • Im not sure if anyone remembers this but i remember watching a super duty commercial towing or pulling an oil rig or something like that but in the snow. it must have been more than 12+ years ago.

  • i spy a chevy at 2:00

  • A VOLKSWAGEN TOUAREG PULLED A JUMBO JET....

  • Comment removed

  • @NewToyotaTrucks dont see them doing a commercial anything like this

  • Yeah buy more trucks! Destroy the last bit of our f'ed up planet!

  • @Farekim - Your statement is IGNORANT! - Earth's climate has been changing for Billions of years, remember that little climate eara called the ice age? - I guess you believe Man is causing climate changes taking place on other planets also? Do you also believe Man is causing Sun activity changes? - You global cooling/global warming/climate change idiots are such a waste of Earth's precious Oxygen. Please do the rest of us normal people a favor and stop breathing, that would improve our Earth.

  • @specialks1953 It's a fact that the earth's oil is about to run out. It's a fact that fossil fuels are not supposed to be used. There are studies shown after we discovered the oil and starting to use it, the enviroment has been taken damage, it is not supposed to be let out into the atmosphere again.

How the fuck can i be ignorant?

  • @Farekim - What you say here is not FACT, it is your opinion. There are also studies that show oil use & it's byproducts in the atmosphere are not causing climate change. We are not even slightly close to running out of OIL. There are Proven reserves that likely will provide energy for well over 100 years. - - In answer to your question! I do not know how you can be ignorant but it seems you are. It could be that you have been indoctrinated by environmental whakos & greenie weenies. Good luck!

  • @specialks1953 So all the tests from the anartic ice is just my opinion? And all the carbon dioxide that is formed and creating the globalwarming is just bullshit? BP them self says it's about 40 years left of oil...

I dont learn from "whakos & greenie weenies", I learn in school. Sweden is far more supirior in enviromental questions than the US, wich i suppose you're from. I learn facts what fossil fuel does when its being used, its not my opinion its facts and studies.

  • @Farekim - Yes I tend to agree that Sweden's schools lean more in the environmental whacko & greenie weenie direction. For every study produced that proves there is man made global climate change, another can be produced that proves there's no man made global climate change. You have your facts, I have mine. We will not agree which facts are truly FACTS. Carbon Dioxide isn't causing global warming so, yes it is bullshit. I don't care what BP said! - Proven reserves about 2000 billion barrels.

  • they try and make it look professional, making it look fake

  • I got a 94 F150 XL with a 300 I6 best truck i have ever driven!! i havent had any problems out of it other than a new Radiator (because some punks put holes in my stock one which still worked until they put holes in it) BEST TRUCK EVER!!! BUILT FORD TOUGH!BECAUSE ONLY PUSSY's WHERE A BOW TIE! lol

  • I read through a few of the comments, and yet again, what a suprise. People talking shit on brands. Look, I've said it before, and I'll say it again. It doesn't matter if it's Dodge, Chevy, Ford, GMC. If it runs, and works well, who gives a damn? Personally, I own an old Ford truck, but not because I brand loyal, it's becasue it has what I need, and does what I want it to do. Plus the price was right. if I had found an old Chevy or dodge, and it was what I was looking for, I would have bought it

  • Duh, any truck can do that. It is all in the four tires touching the ground.

  • i own a 1999 f-150 v6 4.2. i bought my senior year in high school......i still have it with 250,000 miles and all ive done to it are oil changes, tires, breaks, batteries its been a fucken awesome truck

  • just got an 04 f150 as my first car. hopefully i can say the same in a few years

  • @XboxReaper417

My first car was an 04 F150 FX4, I loved that thing and never had a problem. God damn I miss that thing.

  • @BamFor07 all my friends are trying to make me regret getting a truck and they want me to buy a tuner but ill be a real man and keep it. i have dirt bikes to haul around anyways

  • that chain wont snap you fucking idiots. its only being stressed as hard as the truck can brake. DERRRRR. its an empty truck. the point is the brakes wont overheat. fuck people are so dumb. PHYSICS 101 RETARDS

  • I bought an 09' F150 FX4, love it, can't say enough about it.

  • It's like a luxury car inside a truck body. Very nice!

  • I have a 95 F-150 Eddie Bauer edition two wheel drive five speed. Best truck i have ever owned!!!!!!!!

  • Mike Rowe is such a badass and hell yea dude this is just what Fords about I got a 1997 Ford F-150 V8 with over 200,000 miles on her and shes still runnin like a champ

  • my dads 2007 tahoe did not start my moms 03 expolorer bost started it 5 days ago

  • @MrTUBBY2012 same here with my 2000 i got 210000 miles and nothins wrong with her

  • ford rules i have an 04 ford F-150 best vehicle in the world

  • man i thought i was going to buy a toyota tacoma that is nearly as big as this ford f150.

    what a waste.

    Go ford.

  • Damn...After seeing this commercial, I had to go out in my garage and give my Ford F150 a big ole bear hug. What a great truck!

  • I liked this commercial I did not know it was real though thats impressive.

  • Best maker in the world.

    never mind the foreign boys.

  • your so right

  • holy shit that was real?

  • No the chains would snap

  • It was real.

  • Why would the chain snap? The tow hooks would snap before the chain.

  • this is funny...ford did this same thing back in the 60's first

  • yall are just playa hatin. I thought it was a pretty cool commercial. Don't see why people hate Ford. Guess its like America, people of other countries hate it only because it's the best.

  • lol that's for sure

  • That is personally the greatest comment I have ever read on youtube.

Really, I am not being sarcastic.

  • have you heard toyota ads on the radio when they brag about how one of their cars gets XX miles per gallon when everyone knows other cars get more, or when toyota talks about all these features in one of their cars, none of which are new or unique; every car in the class has them. I love the one where they say buying a new set of tires from a toyota dealer "keeps your toyota running like a toyota." I can see all the idiots leaning forward, taking notes. WOW they really learned something! LOL

  • Real world relevance?

  • Nice!

  • USA USA USA i dont see italy or japan doing that

  • They did not take any bail money..... You must have great advetising to sell it and they sold Jag to keep head above water GM FUCK UM

AboveAllNations::::No wonder American auto manufacturing needs a bailout... we're building gas-guzzling trucks in the midst of an energy crisis, and filming expensive commercials with airplanes to brag about it!!!"""

  • We need trucks

  • is that real

  • yes.

  • Uh, Ford hasn't taken bailout money.

  • they haven't?

  • no. ford is the one that is doing pretty well considering the economy and their main selling product is the f150- f350

  • If you really think the bailout and energy crisis is due to an expensive car commercial, you need some financial lessons. Don't speak unless you first know what you're speaking about.

  • Sorry, Ford is the only one that didnt take money. You stupid shit go to Japan we dont need your sorry ass here. This commerical was made in liek 2005. Get some facts

  • @AboveAllNations <-- Has been proved to be an idiot. Nothing to see here people, move along.

  • @AboveAllNations Ford has been making monry the whole time. If the epa would back of just a little bit this would help keep more jobs in the US. International truck built a new paint plant in springfield OH. Over half the cost was EPA mandants.

  • @kac65 I was born in Toledo, OH and lived there for several years i didnt know there was a ford plant in Springfield??

  • @kklein41291 Sorry was talking about the International Trucks plant is in Springfield.

  • @kac65 Sall right, no harm done...

  • i am a ford person but love how about half the trucks you see in the making that are being used by the production crews are chevy... and there was a thing set up where you could test the new tundra here a little while back and they couldn't run the tundras because it was too muddy but there were all sorts of people playing in the mud with the american trucks

  • they are cheap after they are used cuz they have been shot at, and had parts replaced hundreds of times. they are inexpensive because of how used they are. they have like 200k miles on them too. so clearly they are going to be only 2k...

  • very nice job ford as much as i like dodges i also like ford as well. It's nice to see a good commercial that's better then toyota.I am so sick of toyota commercial's.and right ain't nothing gona wag this dog!!!

  • very creative thats why tundra copied (fags)

  • too bad these commercials were out before the new tundra. and too bad the tundra cant even touch the f150. just like all the other trucks out there. f150 still best selling. point proven

  • The Tundra "can't even touch the f150"??

Hmmm... more HP, more TQ, bigger brakes, shorter braking distance (nice commercial though... too bad the Tundra brakes are better), better acceleration, considerably easier towing loads, considerably easier hauling loads...

What was it again that the F150 had the Tundra beat on??

  • more reliable engine, more reliable truck, better build, better design, 30+ years of history behind it, etc... and incase you didnt read my comment before, this came out before the new tundra. and if the tundra is so good then why did they have ford vehicles on the set for their commercials???

    like i said.. point proven

  • bc theyre cheap disposable vehicles lolol

  • cheap and disposable? know. cuz the toyota engineers were smart enough to not use there bad trucks, they needed vehicles to set up the whole set, clearly they arent gonna use a toy truck when they can use real trucks... if you wanna talk cheap and disposable then just look at your mom..

  • well that may be tru, but think of it in a logical sense instead of being so defensive for a second... most police cars are ford crown vics and for the same reason theyre cheap and disposable cheap to fix cuz the parts are everywhere and dissposable bc they get abused 24/7 and once theyre done they sell em for like 2grand even tho theyre only like 2003's or newer sometimes.. so logically its bc theyre cheap and dissposable!

  • most police cars are crown vics because they are reliable and they are built tough. they can actually handle the needs of the police forces and continue to be used and abused. for example, the impala's, they are front wheel drive so they thought they could help keep costs down and be good in the winter time, but they cant handle the abuse that the crown vics can. or the chargers. they were expensive and didnt provide the nicest ride and it was poor build quality.

  • Crown Vics are used for ONE reason... Ford sells them to the Police at a ridiculously low price.

  • have you ever been to the plant where they build crown vics? have you seen the police crown vics up close? and i dont mean the back seat. my brother is a cop, he has driven the impala, the charger, and the crown vic. the crown vic is the only good police car out there.

  • yeah my bros a cop too. he loves the Vic. says it has the most get up and go of the 3. but he says he likes the new chargers, just cause, well. there new and stylish looking haha. what department and what state does your brother work for? mine works for fort worth texas

  • he's an o.p.p. in barrie canada.

  • The Tundra is currently rated the most reliable truck available (JD Power). Ford got 2 stars in that category I believe.

    Like you said... point proven.

  • pretty sad that your trying to defend the tundra of all vehicles. especially since it isnt reliable. people think of import cars as reliable because of how well japan improved theirbuild quality. but the us has matched that performance and provides just as reliable if not more reliable vehicles. there are more f150's onthe road than tundras, reason being, they are better.

  • Find me ANY respectable 3rd party that rates the F150 more reliable, higher quality or more dependable than the Tundra.

  • try anybody that owns a truck. why do you think f150 is still best selling? the f150 out performs the tundra. just look at all the other videos on youtube.

  • You can't say that one truck is better because they sell more. F-150's have been sold in North America for decades, the Tundra which is Toyota's first full size truck is only a few years old. So obviously Ford is going to sell more, they have a loyal customer base, Toyota is starting from scratch. That isn't to say that the F-150 isn't better, because it probably is since it's had decades to be perfected, but sales numbers aren't proof of anything.

  • the tundra has been around since 99. thats 10 years. their first full size truck was the t100 which started in 93. so they have been making full size trucks. they just finally started making one that could barely compete with north american trucks..

  • Call it a full size truck if you want but it never measured up to the size and power of the American trucks. Their current model is the only one that matches the American size. It's the only one that has a slight chance of competing in that market segment.

  • it still doesnt measure up. and the previous model was similar in size. infact the truck was made up of copies of american trucks. the truck was like the 97-03 f150, with chevy style tailights. it had a 3.4l v6 and 4.7l v8. if you ask me thats a full size truck. they just put no effort into it. and with the new one they finally made their own truck, but they have no i dea when it comes to trucks and should stick to making puny hybrid cars.

  • @Youvegotnothinonme I they don't rust in two

  • wow are u guys bashing on the tundra. the tundra leaves the f150 in the dust in every category except for hauling. but who the hell hauls 3 thosand lbs

  • Real men my friend.

  • i'll buy an f150 when they can run longer than 100000 miles

  • Wow, after watching this bs I now know the Ford must have the best brakes of all the trucks. But in reality it has the worst. I'm surprised it could keep the chain tight.

  • i think it help stop the plane while the plane was trying to stop with its own brakes. this commericial is alittle fishy to me. idk... ford will do anything to sell there trucks

  • Nothing fishy going on. Volvo's embarrassment in advertising a decade ago made it legally impossible for companies and ad agencies to fake this stuff from now on, legal affadavits have to be signed every step of the way. As for those bragging about Tundra's capabilities, dream on. And as for which can go more than 100,000 miles, well there are millions that have. I agree with Cookie Monster, Toyota? Ha. Buy a Ford or a Chevy.

  • arguing on youtube makes you cool, at least that what i hear

  • I thought this was fake when i saw it but i actually know a f-150 can stop a c-123 which is kool

  • Wikki is some sort of a retard. he is on every ford video on youtube.

  • Please frank, find something I have said that has not been accurate.

  • I am merely correcting peoples blatant lies frank. It's quite simple, if you guys knew what you were talking about I wouldn't constantly need to correct and clarify your blubbering attempts at arguments.

  • Furthermore, the Toyota Tundra stops in a shorter distance from 60 MPH than the F150...

    Quite a pointless video.

  • IGNORE WIKIWIKI, I have been checking Ford videos out of suspicion, he is a some grumpy Tundra fan that goes on Ford videos to talk smack, I have seen him a lot.

You missed the point man, this is still a cool video either way, and it did stop it, read about it, but they make it look harder than it really is(any truck can do this) by the plane's size.

Yes Yes, we know the Tundra is fast and can brake on a race track, but it's brakes are not vented and not as effective when towing.

  • MLZ, how stupid are you? The Tundra's brakes are not vented? WOW YOU ARE DUMB!

"the Tundra is fast and can brake on a race track, but it's brakes are not vented and not as effective when towing."

From Toyota's specs on the Tundra

    "Front: Ventilated disc"

    "Rear: Ventilated disc"

    You're an idiot.

  • vented breaks new to this model i guess. I know in '06 they had rear drum breaks. Ford has being doing standard all four vented disc ABS for years. Toyota Commericials are wrong too, Ford gives you standard same size disc as the Turda, I think 10 inch with wider vents, for longer.

150 has outboard shocks, longer/thicker leafsprings and suspension arms- which all matter in this demonstration.

Thnks I didn't know they added read vented discs, its nice to see them follow the leader

  • Oh MLZ, you really don't know what we are talking about.

F150 brakes are 13in in the front and 13.7 in the back.

    Tundra's are 13.9 front and 13.6 rear.

The Tundra has 1.6 more inches of brakes than the F150.

  • sorry if im a little late, but id just like to add that brake disc size has almost nothing to do with stopping distance of a vehicle. if brakes are powerful enough to slide the tire, is that not all the faster it will stop anyways? weight distribution and stability of the suspension are the biggest factors.

find something else to argue about wiki.

  • hey wiki, next time you think that the tundra is better than the Ford than do this simple thing called reading the facts. pull up both specs from both Fords website and tundras website and compare. then you will find the truth that cant be argued with, also next time you park your tundra next to an F150 than take a little look underneath and you will find the tundras parts,eg. axle,bolts..... in general are a lot smaller.

  • Hey with a truck speed is not everything. The tundra is a mini van with a bed. Go watch the vids about frame strength. The tundra has a compact truck style frame. It gives more ride comforot but destroys the trucks longevity. There is a test vid show the box phlaing around like a chiken with its head cut off

    The tundra sucks,

  • Hey i got a question wiki why is it that toyota pushed back the release of the tundra to avoid going up against the new Silverado for truck of the year. They only won this year as they were the only truck in the running. GReat job winning a 1 dog race.

    Dumbass.

  • First off the TOY is a worthless title. The Silverado won a 1 dog race just like the Tundra did... dumbass.

Secondly all the video's you speak of were Ford demonstrations... dumbass.

  • The point still remains that teh truck did not perform. It doesn't matter if it is a chevy demo, a ford Demo, a toyota demo. The toyota frame is shit.

And the Silverado went up against The Explorer Sport Track, Cadillac Escalade, Avalanche, and GMC sierra.

were as your beloved tudra went up against a bunch of super duty's, which is a class that rarely wins the award.

Clearly you are a toyota nut job, who is a dumbass.

  • Also trucks are supposed to be inexpensive and tough. The Tundra is niether. The frame is like that of a compact truck, to get the model that motor trend tested, and is shown in the comercials, will cost you $42,072 dollars. Is it me or is that expensive for somthing that, if it is a real truck, will be used to go off road, hual massive loads, be subjected to the tourtures of a construction site? And to top it off, you only get an average of 13.8 mpg.

  • Where as the chevy Silverado as tested cost you only $32,802, and gets an epa estimated 14 mpg, now you claim i am stuiped but 14>13.8. Paying 32,802 dollars for a truck is better than pay 42,072 dollars for a truck. the toyota is not 10,000 dollars more truck.

But yes the Tundra is faster, but i personal do not want to pay 10 grand for 1 secound in the quarter mile time.

  • Oh and did you know that the tundra may be able to tow more, but it has a lower payload capacity than the Chevy.

The Chevy can carry 1480 lbs. where as the toyota can only cary 1360lbs.

    So poor frame quality,

    Lower payload,

    Higher Cost,

Hmm.... the toyota is not the better truck. If you want a minivan on wheels buy your toyota, with its plush leather seats, and comfortable ride. But if you want a real truck that will put up with the abuse of time. By a Chevy or a Ford.

  • It was $27,000 for the doublecab and the decked out crewmax limited was $47,000. You can get a doublecab SR5 with the rebates right now for around $23,000. How is this overpriced? The Tundra's fuel mileage is right on with the Silverado's, Ford's, and Rams. The frame is built like a 3/4 ton Ford Superduty with rear channels. That must make the Superduty frames shit also.

  • i wouldnt say it 3/4 ton but its definitely built for towing and hauling people and gear comfortably. love the tundra!

  • lol @ "now you claim i am stuiped"

  • Furthermore, I am quite confident that Toyota did not pick the release date of the Tundra based on Motor Trends TOY article... you are obviously an extremely stupid individual 86.

  • It is quite hilarious the utter stupidity being discussed on this board.

Last time I checked airplanes can stop under their own power in rather short distances. This F150 certainly did not stop the plane on it's own. I would imagine the plane accounted for about 95% of the stopping power in this video while the Ford truck accounted for 5%.

Is it really that tough to figure out??

  • You give me the faggots...

  • Excuse me?

  • any sports car can do this. this is just pure humor. ford is desperate

  • YEEHAW BUILT FORD TOUGH

  • although the F-150 kicks ass, it couldnt stop a plane wiht that much mass in that short a distance it would just slow it down.

  • FORD RULES!

  • I remember them dropping an F-100 out of a plane, but not doing a stopping test like this.

  • wow that is some crazy shit they just did. if they failed they could have died that shows how much trust they have in the truck.

  • Should the F-150 put on C-17! F-150 kick Silverado ass!

  • ford.

  • yeah everybody is going to grab a cargo plane and hook their trucks up to it...

what the hell are you smoking?

  • Hey! i'm entitled to my own opinion! if you're not gonna say anything nice don't say nothing at all

  • i'm entitled to MY own opinion too, we all can say whatever we want, it's called free speech smart guy.

like you were nice when you called the commercial a "bunch of bullshit"

  • how? is towing a truck not another airplane

  • And where is that mysterious force that is going to accomplish this going to come from?

  • U C Y ITS BUILT FORD TOUGH

  • I am glad that some of you dont believe this. There is no way that truck will slow that airplane like that. I work on airplanes for a living and the brakes that are required to stop are alot bigger than that truck. What I did notice is that they went into reverse pitch with the props. Thats what slowed the airplane.

  • ford is the best

  • thanks ford, and thanks mike. i can see why it is the number 1 for 31 years now,

  • How long does it take a plane this big to stop without assistance from a Truck?

Also, this is a great commercial, but there are half tons that have a shorter stopping distance from 60 MPH to 0 than the F150.

  • There's not enough traction on the tires to stop something larger 20 tons larger than the truck!

  • duh there are pilots in the plane...it cant land by itself. I am a pilot myself and the plane has its own brakes that stop it quite adequately, the truck in fact, probably has larger brakes than the plane itself, this really isnt that impressive

  • All I'm saying is that is very hard to believe this commercial when you can clearly see the 2 pilots in the plane.

  • the reason why 2 pilots are in the plane is because it JUST LANDED!!!!!!!!!!! DUR

  • What's so hard to beleive? It all comes down to the laws of physics. Give me one reason why a truck could not slowly stop 30000 lbs. A super duty can tow more than half that at 75mph. If this is fake, don't even get me started on the rediculous toyota tundra commercials.

  • all you people tripping balls going "Its fake its fake" no shit. Who the hell would believe that? I like Ford but there is obviously no way in hell it would ever stop that plane.

  • Yeah ford ♥ =]

  • You ford fags will believe anything you see on TV. I bet if you say a ford super duty bringing a Boeing 747 to a stop, you'd believe it.

  • It's FAKE FAKE FAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like I said before, the weight of the plane alone would have ripped the front end of the truck right off. Second, you can see the truck being jerked around, and also you can see the guy signal to the pilots to stop.

  • For all you non-believers out there... they actually did do this. The truck did stop the plane. I know, I was there. Filmed at the Inyokern Airport, Inyokern, CA. I live in Ridgecrest... look it up.

  • consider 5000 pounds vs. 30000 pounds, which is the same as 30 pounds and a 180 pound man. go out and try pullig 30 pounds of bricks through the dirt while on a bike, you will feel it. Also acknowledge that the plane would have came to a stop without the truck. I looks like they were going no more than 60mph, and it took like 10 seconds stop.

  • whether they actually did it the way they present in the commercial is questionable, but in concept it is possible. The constant force on the front of the truck cannot exceed the weight of the truck, it would be the same force with a 15 ton or a 30 ton aircraft.

  • Ford does rock!! But it could'nt stop a plane.

watch the end you see the front of the aircraft lift up, this only happens afte the aircraft applies its own brakes.

Dont believe me? go to the airport and watch a plane come to a complete stop!

  • I'll have you know that according to the SAE, pickup truck companies have had no regulations on how they do commercials, but that's going to change next year. Even if this were possible, WHICH IT IS NOT...no one is going to be stupid enough to try it.

  • It actually really DID stop that plain whether you want to BELIEVE IT OR NOT. My friend shot %70 of the footage in this video (the behind the scenes, not the commercial itself). You sounded right for a second, though.

  • Okay, but it's just very hard to believe this commercial when you can see the two pilots in the plane. For it to be real, they need to land the plane, have the pilots jump out of the plane and do a tuck and roll so they don't kill themselves, and then have the truck try to stop the plane. Then, I will believe it.

  • This video doesn't prove a damn thing. Did any of you idiots see the pilots in the plane? It's possible they applied the brakes. There is no way in hell a truck, especially a half ton, can stop a 30,000 lb. airplane. It is impossible, trust me. The weight of the plane alone would have ripped the front end of the truck right off!

  • Yes lets all trust you becasue you have tried this many times and it hasnt worked.

  • yep. at 3:32, you can see that the pilots turned up the throttle a bit and the props spin a bit faster to fool everyone.

  • There is a ford logo shot at 3:32. Do you mean 3:22?
