All you people that bang on about the rotary hp vs capacity never seem to realise that a 4-stroke piston engine only uses half its displacement per revolution to make power. It doesn't matter how much you try to fudge the figures, it all comes down to power vs amount of fuel burned, in which case the rotary fails.
Free energy has been here for a while ,But there are very powerfull forces that want to supress the technology,Find the real deal, a free energy device at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Be the revolution!
i use to own a really old rotory mazda wagon and i had to put transmission fluid down the carb every morning so i can start it, other wise it did not start. other then that i really loved that car. it was a very fast car.
u wanna know why cause it gets over 200 horsepower stock at the crank from a 2 rotor 1.3l engine and a stock 9 grand redline lets see any piston pounder get close to any of those numbers with 1300cc displacement
@85VWWesty Unfortunately the rx8 has 2 rotors, each with 3 chamber of 654cc ie 6 x 654 = 3924cc. So yes there arnt many 3.9L piston engines that only make 200bhp and only do 20mpg. Which is why rotary engines have gone nowhere in the last 60 years and probably never will.
@Manoo62 you know nothing about roataries do you its 654cc for each rotor so 1.3l idiot dont try and act smart when you think a 20b is 6 fucking litres a 12a is 1.1l a 13b is 1.3l a 20b is 2.0l and a 26b is 2.6l makes a hell of a lot more sense than your numbers doesnt it and they suck gas cause theres 3 chambers per housing so its pretty much a v6 with1300cc once again lets see a piston pounder get near those numbers while reamaining N/A with 1300cc to work with
@85VWWesty At leased I know how to spell it yer thick cunt. EACH CHAMBER is 654cc (as per Mazdas spec) and there are six chambers in the 13b. It is like a V6, a 3.9L V6 but I cant think of any that only produce 225bhp. The Z370 is pretty close but that produces over 100bhp more, over 100 ft lbs more torque and does at leased 10mpg more. So yes there arent many engines as crap as the 13b. Try doing your homework before running your fat mouth.
@Manoo62 like in the other vid i could keep proving you wrong but you probably wont even admit your wrong so this is just pointless and dont say i cant spell when u are cleary not an english teacher either
A piston engine only uses half its displacement to produce power per revolution. So do you really think a 2.6L piston engine couldn't produce 200hp, when there are 9000rpm 2L 4cyl piston engines producing 240hp normally aspirated? That's equivalent to a 1000cc rotary, which wouldn't be anywhere near without forced induction. Pistons > Rotors - deal with it (most boring engine sound on earth anyway).
i dont understand the rotary design i get OUR piston engine (or if u want to get specific "the internal combustion engine") but these are just weird to me
Shame rotarys are torqueless. And no Im not a V8 driver, its a fact. Turbos suit them very well. Not sure if there a great design for cars, but for like jetskis, go-karts and scooters etc would be the tits!
Or anything under like, 2700 pounds. You don't need tons of torque to move something the size of an RX-7. One of the things that's really nice about my brother's '85 GSL-SE is how nicely the torque comes on from low revs and stays there and actually builds very smoothly as you move up the revs. It has plenty of torque for it's size.
Mercedes, Nissan, Toyota, GM, Renault, Yahama, Kawasaki, Honda, etc... many(most?) car and motorcycle makers in the world developed the rotary engine in the 1960s-1970s, but they were not marketed. Only trial production.
the rotary engine theory is simple, but it is difficult to be mass-produced.
Unless you enjoy two extra usable seats along with an engine that doesn't have miles of vacuum hoses for the turbo's. But alas, the 16x is on the way, I'm hoping for a two seater version....we'll see....
Felix Heinrich Wankel developed and designed the Rotary engine and showed the world the 1st ever rotary prototype on Feb. 1st 1957. It was Mazda that took the idea and made it better, working out all the kinks and chatter mark problems making them, now, the only licensed Car company in the world using a Rotary engine. The japanese did not invent or construct it, a non-educated German with a technical passion did. They still dont have an answer for the V8-like MPG and major consumption of oil.
Well, the story goes like this, Mazda owns the patent for rotary engines under 5.0L, so they can keep anyone from using them. If the engine size is under 5.0L. Mercedes bought the patent that is 5.0L and over. But as we all know having a 5000cc rotary engine is ridiculously unpractical. I would hate to hear the gas mileage on a rotary of that size. So Mercedes has probably scrapped any ideas of using their patent. Which leaves Mazda as the only company in the world legally aloud to make them.
A guy who sells performance parts out of japan told me that the rx8 is a 1.3L turbo rotary engine. And that if it was just rotary it would have like 40hp and that it had to be turbo rotary in order to get the 238 horsies. He said its a built in factory turbo. And to increase your HP by 25 or so u can change the factory turbo PSI settings up a few PSI and safely increase your HP from your stock engine. Thoughts? I looked around not sure what to think? thanks guys
Haha thats the biggest load of crap i've ever heard lol. For starters RX8's aren't turbo, and secondly, my non-turbo RX3 peripheral port made over 400hp no problems. Think you need to be careful who you talk to lol.
yeah the turbo is built in, its a magical unicorn inside the throttle body... holy fuck you people are stupid. you do realize there were non turbo rotary's for decades? and they made a shit ton more power than 25hp. rx7 fd3s = turbo rx8 = no turbo pile of poop
the less parts the less problems the less cash..its completly common sence and this is the future lol...dam ppl cant get used to change..a rotary engene has 3 moving parts in its housing apposed to the piston where its atleast 40 parts
ahh yes, but its not cheaper, not yet, because hardly anyone makes them, when demand is higher, more manufactures will make them, forcing prices down.
cool
