@DannyBo100 there currently is not a way to customize message tones yet. hopefully they will add the feature in the next update.

@TheStyLLeR i haven't heard of anyone having problems with it on the omnia 7, i do know that a few people that were having problems didn't mango fully installed onto their phones. maybe try plugging it back into you computer and checking for a software update? it could be a number of other little things too.

@vperez023 Mine had the same problem it would just go back to the main screen I looked around a bit and found if you press the camera (weird plastic thing) in then it will start working. You have to press it kind of hard and try a few times.

@Tcook96 if it wont let you needed the genre it could be a copy right issue. other than that you should always be able to edit the genre of all your music if you find it listed under artists.

I like to make an autoplaylist for genre = Ringtone. Then I'm always up to date and can see what I'm missing and what I already have.

Follow the video's direction exactly, except change the genre of the song to Ringtone first, before you drag it to the playlist. Once its in the playlist, connect phone and sync the playlist (which automatically syncs the playlist as well as the song). Then boom, after sync, exit zune, disconnect phone, go to phone settings, click the drop down list to change your ringtone, and you should see a new category for "Custom" with your new ringtone underneath it.

I've been doing this over and over and over again, but it will not work. My file is under 1mb, only 128kbps, and the genre IS ringtones. Over and over I do this but it will not work. I have HD7 and just updated to Windows phone 7.5...WTF?!?!?!

@Sushiez313 double check to see if it not a copyright issue preventing the clip from showing up, I have also heard that even if it just barely under 40sec and 1mp some phones might want it to be a little bit smaller than that size.

@cgrind the update became available to most people 2 days ago, it is still being released across the US over the next 2 week

to see if your update is available your phone should automatically tell you or you can plug your phone into your computer and launch the Zune software to see if there are any updates available
