Tragedy!? It was more BLATANT SELFISHNESS. Leave all creatures in their native environments and stop encroaching on THEIR LAND with homes, businesses, and lumber cutting for cattle ranches etc. Dogs, cats, chickens, domestics; start loving them properly!

Here's what I worry about...In California, when we made keeping exotic animals illegal, MASSES of exotic animals were euthanized so the the owners could avoid legal complications. I would not and will not support his unless some sort of exemption or alternative housing is provided for animals already in captivity.

I happen to be a private owner of some lesser felids. I do agree however that the larger cats such as lions, tigers and large bears need more than just a back yard. With that said, may I point out that your statement in this video is wrong. The cages were CUT OPEN and the locks still in place. Mr. Thompson was found dead with the keys in his pocket and raw chicken around his body. This same thing could easily happen at a zoo, give the right crazy person and a bolt cutter. BANS DONT WORK.

This is terrible, I hate how people think it okay to keep animals because they think their preserving the species! ITS NOT TRUE!
