i am born muslim and went to a lot of muslim schools to learn about islam and what bothers me is when arabs mix between CULTURE and ISLAM

the arab culture is that its a western thing and since arabs didnt originally do it then we dont do it but islam didnt say we can only pierce our ears i just want somebody to find me a hadith or a quran verse that says we can even pierce our ears it does not say that we just say were allowed 2 pierce our ears because mohammed had an ear piercing its not HARAM

@bnrsKinda i do not know any any hadith about that. but there's a hadith that say we are forbidden to act/copy the opposite gender (can't remember what hadith). a lot of arguments for that. but one argument that i accept is that it all depends on your culture. Because:

1. Islam is for use in different century and in different parts of the world. And the mindset of people that live in different place and time is different.

2. Islam now is divided into different mazhab

E.g. In my country, we practice Mazhab Imam Syafie (i mean, Madh'hab). It's more strict, and women ARE SUPPOSED TO cover every part of her body (except for the face and the palm), but in other country that practice Madhhab Hanbali, it's less strict - showing off a little hair is okay.

so for the piercing, i guess it's depends on whether YOUR REAL culture accept is as a female thing or for both. if it's a girl thing, so that's forbidden

But I guess it's because our piercing got nothing to do with following culture of other religion. Women can wear jewelery, that's fine. And it's not like we change our appearance. And it's not painful. Unlike tattoo, or self-hurting. But the reason is MY PERSONAL opinion, not in general. But so far, never did our mufti say anything about it. So i guess it's okay to.

i have been watching all your videos (maddie's and valleygurlfrmhell) for two days and i just love them! i am not Muslim (my grandpa's mom was Syrian and i have heard she used to cover her self...somehow the tradition got lost) i was baptized as catholic when i was little but it's been a while since i feel i really don't identify my self with any religion...and i have a ton of questions. here in Germany there are a lot of problems with Muslims, can you recommend someone to talk to? ♥
