OMG! Thanx for the parts! I got my acoustic gitaur today, and I needed help. O.K! Don't you need a pick for an acoustic guitar? THEY DIDN'T GIVE ME A PICK!
Ok, here's a question that that I've yet to get an answer to:
Why are the fret "dots" at the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th and 12th frets?
Is there some cosmic formula that makes these frets more important than the others? If it's a scale, it's not one that I'm familiar with yet. It took me a second to realize it, but the pattern is symmetrical, with the pivot at the 6th fret. (Tritone?)

and uh, the pickup thing is wrong. A pick up picks up the sound. A soundhole amplifies your sound. WRONG WALT.

E----G----A--*--B---C#----E
R---m3--P4-*-P5--M6--P8
So what's the "Big Deal" with that pattern?

its just to help you differentiate between which note on which fret.

jesus christ, it's just to help you visualize which fret is which. Ever tried playing a guitar without fret markers?
VetleZorZ 3 years ago
Yes. It was what I learned on. Well for all I know it had fret markers, I just never felt them.
