Kinda lame video, no side by side, like you said no purpose. If both are stock, the SRT-8 Charger will easily pull the Evo X in a straight line. Of course when handling comes into play, the Evo X is superior to almost 95% of the cars on the road. I own an Evo IX and an SRT-8, the Evo IX traps 103mph in the quarter mile, the SRT-8 109mph, that's a rather large difference.

@HoleToHeaven That depends on what way you mean, Evo X is slightly slower in a straight line but it actually corners faster than the Evo IX. The Super All-Wheel-Control of the X is superior to the AWD system in the Evo IX, so the X is actually a better cornering machine, although it is slower in the straights due to it's extra weight.

@tneper top gear tested the exo X and evo IX aganst each other on their test track, evo IX won, that tells me its a better car personally lol, as well imo the evo IX is a much better looking car, not a fan of the X its kinda ugly

@HoleToHeaven Yeah, they're pretty close really, X wins some, IX wins others, I've seen reviews that placed the X a few fractions of a second faster on a road course, a hair slower on the drag strip, and some that put the IX ahead on both. All together, the X is really more about refinement and upscaling the Evo, with the added handling benefits barely making up for the added weight.

@tneper yea pretty close cars i guess, but i thinkmost people agree that the new evo is pretty ugly COMPARED to the IX. It just looks bulky. I haven't driven a X so i dunno what the turbo lag is like i kno in the IX one down fall was the lag if your ever in the wrong gear. But thats the nature of the beast slapping big single turbos to make big hp on tiny engines.

we drive this everyday and she is gorgeous too drive , at 60kmph in 5th gear u can put ur foot to the floor and she takes off like a beast.

2lt is not a tiny engine , im from England ... a 2litre is considered huge there haha .

but i know what your saying , v6 and v8s are a little bigger.

The HEMI would eat a little 4 cyl for breakfest. And I dont think thats fair the danm EVO has a turbo. Throw a supercharger on the HEMI then we can call it even. Then it should get it buy at least 3 seconds.

we know what will happen. stock for stock an evo x will not beat an srt8 anything. all the srt8s run about 13 flat to 13.5s. the evo at best will run a 13.7

sometimes i miss my charger when i have to drive more than 50 miles. our US cars are realy confortable cars. My evo has sort of harsh ride, plus the manual trasmition you can image....back to my point, we keep unfurtunaly the same mentality of the 60's and 70's for car design. even the same numbers. small blocks, big blocks, 320, 420 power plants. i love it, but let's realize this: a four cilinders 2.4L is beating a eight 6.1L car. hummm....something is realy wrong to me. doesn't it?

elsekoe89. a stock srt8 will never kill a stock Evo in a 1/4 mile. i know Srt8 is a diferent animal, 6.1L, brembo brakes, a wider exahust, but still is a car designed for families. meaning a 200 pounds seats, and all the confort that a US family is used to enjoy. Evos are a diferent animal, every single square inch is performance wise designed. even the batery is in the back to bring a perfect wheight distribution. i love all cars and believe me.........to be continue

i had an Dodge 5.7 charger r/t (you can see some videos i did) . now i have an EVO X.

i hate to say this but from the "performance" point of view Dodge Sucks even with their "supermopar" blah blah.

Evos have 100% better handling, cheaper and easier to upgrade. faster from stock, better braking distance, lower mantenaince. better seats (recaros).

i really thougt ones our cars where fast and fun.

grab your ass in an stock evo x gsr with a pro driving it and you will see what is fast about.
