as a 7+ year employee of BJ Alan Inc (aka - Phantom Fireworks) I can certainly make some piece suggestions - 500gram cakes: Tropic Thunder, Burst & Bloom, 205 shot Phandamonium, X-9, Wicked Willows // 19 shot repeaters hands down Molotov Cocktail is the best of the bunch period followed by Solar Explosion // Mortar Kits - Lock & Load, Silver Salute, Big Bad Bangers // those #5 tubes are AWESOME most of our showrooms however do not carry them except in the Tube Finale Assortment.

it depends what your local laws are....here in Indiana, USA... it is legal all year round

@MegaPyro101 -- it's legal to purchase them year round here in Indiana - however, recent changes in the law can restrict when you can shoot them in the state. State law dictates they are all legal year round as long as you are on your own property or have the permission of the property owner, however, the new law give's local municipalities the option to restrict the use of them if they decide to. I know here in Ft. Wayne, Indiana you can only legally shoot fireworks for 13 days out of the year

Mines are when a tube is made to shoot the stars, which are the chemicals that make color or effects, directly out of the tube. Unlike a shell that shoots into the air with the stars contained inside then explode in the air.

this is a great display, i get around the same amount of stuff from phantom but im more of a shell guy. I usually spend all my money on shells, tubes, and 500 gram repeaters.

I was wondering why you take the tops of the cakes. Arent they just paper that the shots will shoot through or do you get better height or something.

It really doesnt matter if you take off the paper or not...i only do it because its less paper you have to pick up and you can see the layout and quality of tubes.

What would u recommend to use to connect the fuses?

ideally anything that can hold remotely well, for this consumer stuff, duct tape would work fine, i wouldn't use scotch tape or string to tie the quick fuse, it does put out quite a bit of energy and can easily "shoot" off and won't ignite the rest, but the green visco fuse will be fine with duct tape.

Great fusing. Someone turned me onto using clear packing tape for fusing so you can more easily see that the fuses are getting a good connection. Not telling you what to do, just saying. :) Great little set up on the fusing! I think there's a Wizard of Ahh's video now on the Phantom site so you can see what it does.

The Lock'n'Loads are pretty nice. You got those at Phantom?
