I LOVE this restaurant!!! They make their own everything (from hot sauce to jam). My favorite dish is the fire breathing dragon. Super spicy and super delicious.You can't go wrong with picking any dish. All of their food is very flavorful. Be prepared to wait outside for a bit, but wait is definitely worth it. It's like the build-up to a great experience. If there is a line then there must be something good inside.

The Mac & Cheese with caramelized onions is to die for. Excellent Sean's mushroom fettuccine is wicked good....but that dang Gingerbread waffle with cinnamon syrup, apples and raisins or michigan cherries for 5.00 is sooooo yummy on a cold day. The recipes in this diner are to die for....8 visits and NEVER a bad meal.......I LOVE the Fly Trap !

If you go there and get the fried rice just know its SPICY and they don't mention it.

Bad first experience there because I had to down a few glasses of water just to eat a few bites.

The Fly Trap in Ferndale is phenomenal! I've been a long time resident of the Fern and have tried almost everything on their menu for "blunch" and dinner and there is nothing bad they offer. The staff is warm, humble, and I see them doing their shopping in the local grocery stores. Ask them for their garnish of crunchy garbanzo beans, I got the recipe from the chef over beers at a local bar...Keep it up guys, you make me proud to be part of Ferndale.

i love this show. would love to try new foods & different tastes. this show reminds me of No Reservations & Street Food, except he's more so doing this show in the US. he needs to travel like Bourdain. hope to see more clips soon.
