  • The bible is fake no one can posssibly know what jesus would want there is no proof the bible is true

  • I am a Christian however I don't believe that clinging on the subject of Gays & Abortion is right for a Christian. Although, I do believe that homo-sexuality is a sin (however no more greater than adultery or even lying) and that abortion is, lets say, not what God intended, I think there is too many of us who focus on these and then care nothing about anything else.

I believe that the republican party use these as the trump cards for Christian votes because that is the majority.

  • The only god republicans worship is money. For conservatives, Christianity is nothing more than a facade to trick the poor into voting for their side.

  • THIS IS TO ALL LIBERALS, LIBERTARIANS, ATHEISTS AND INDEPENDENT THINKERS. The issues you raise and the points you make are often so brilliant and packaged so neatly, that I'd love to send a link off to my media-manipulated friends. However, I know that any intro that declares that a "LIBERAL" or "ATHEIST" entity has assembled these well-supported facts will trigger the knee-jerk, conditioned response of instant rejection. Try to be a bit more subtle and let me USE some of the genius you provide.

  • probably because its simple to talk about abortion and gays because most people are either for it or against it. war is a lot more complicated and people dont like to have to take the time to figure out what got it all started, what all is going on, and what needs to happen to finish it.....basically laziness

  • @StotchLeopoldButters Well there is only two sides of the fence. When I was debating with my boyfriend (He is Mexican), I am Nica-American. We discussed America's war on drugs. he said from his pov that america is easily letting the illegal stuff pass easily through the border, our pov suggests mexico is not trying hard enough to stop it.

  • Are you comparing a baby to a virus? A virus we get by no choice of our own but a baby is a different matter and the very response where a virus is sneezed out or where it is excreted is part of its survival design, a baby does not survive when aborted except in some late term abortions where a baby is left outside, wrapped in linen an left to die even though we now know that babies as early as 21 weeks can be potentially save. Doctors are not butchers, they are supposed to save life, not destroy

  • @llewellleo I think the point of the video went way over your head into the face of oblivion.

  • Can a child slain in the name of liberalism and freedom not be considered a poor creature, treated so cruelly by people who care more for the next party and wild sex. Folk having no desire to take responsibility and always looking for the easy way out. Caring for the poor is important but tell me how can a person who cares nothing for the life of a child care for the lives of those struggling? Jesus contradicted himself, where exactly?

  • @llewellleo Not every ejaculation is a human child. 80% of all fertilised eggs are naturally flushed during menstruation. Many growing embryos and even well formed foetuses are naturally aborted by the mother's body for one reason or another. Does that mean that every woman who has ever lived was a mass murderer?

Fully formed, actual human beings, their suffering is actual suffering, they have a fully functioning, cognisant, conscious central nervous system. A bunch of stem cells don't.

  • @aidanjt That is a poor argument. There is a difference between a very natural process and purposeful destruction of life. "Real time ultrasonography, fetoscopy, study of the fetal EKG (electrocardiogram) and fetal EEG (electroencephalogram) have demonstrated the remarkable responsiveness of the human fetus to pain, touch, and sound.

  • That the fetus responds to changes in light intensity within the womb, to heat, to cold, and to taste (by altering the chemical nature of the fluid swallowed by the fetus) has been exquisitely documented in the pioneering work of the late Sir William Lily the father of fetology." google the silent scream.by Dr. and Mrs. J.C. Willke Im truly shocked that people would have such scant regard for a child, for life and treat a living being as if plastic. Do you like pain, is it ok if others suffer?

  • @llewellleo A damage reflex doesn't automatically infer suffering. An earthworm can writhe in 'pain' when damaged, that doesn't mean an earthworm has a central nervous system capable of being cognisant of harm, or has an automatic right to life. And at least an earthworm is a genuinely discrete organism. And it's also interesting that this testing takes place at 11 weeks, the very end of the first trimester, well beyond the typical abortion period.

  • @llewellleo It's also interesting that you're obsessed with defending an undeveloped organism completely without thought, nor has any scriptural basis (just added in Catholic canon law to ensure the ranks of Christendom outgrow that of competing religions) for it, while utterly ignoring the very real humans whom suffer in undisputed fact, contrary to explicit morality doctrines taught by Jesus himself.

  • @aidanjt Od ,werent you one, how did you become what you are now? Do you feel pain because you sound a bit cold blooded to me. I trust the scientific results which clearly show that the fetus feels pain from 8 weeks on confirmed and solid. What of later abortions when the child is more developed? Its cold blooded murder and your philosophical view and argument will not change the fact that it is.

  • @llewellleo It's a waste of time arguing anything with you when you only seek confirmation bias, and disregard arguments which debunk your 'evidence', which amounted to little more than a propaganda piece which has been thoroughly debunked by the doctor's peers. But don't take my word for it, search the same 'documentary' on wikipedia.

Also interesting that again you dodged the poor issue.

  • @aidanjt You in no way debunked the evidence which frankly is not mine but produced by scientific studies and you only presented a philosophical and frankly cold hearted argument in favour of the destruction of young life which is distinct and proven different from the mother. Its terrible that you have been granted the opportunity to live and argue in favour of murder and others will not be able to enjoy the privilege of life due to selfish and cruel behavior.Afterabortion dt org

  • @llewellleo So you didn't bother to check up on criticism of the entertainment show you cited, did you? There was nothing scientific about it at all. And it is not distinct, it is a parasitical organism which sucks on the mother's blood flow for oxygen, food, and waste extraction. Without the mother it will die. That is not discrete.

It's also interesting that again, you've ignored the needs and rights of fully developed, actually suffering poor people. Talking about selfish and cruel.

  • So are kids who depend on their parents.Should poor families then not also kill their 5 month olds because they are a real burden? Its a phase of development.? Should your mother have aborted you seeing that and in your words,it is a parasitical organism which sucks on the mother's blood flow for oxygen, food, and waste extraction. You mean people who are morally poor many who are doing fine financially. I have worked in poor areas and have seen children and parents alike grow and overcome .

  • @aidanjt What of cripples, some made so by accident in their lives, they like unborn children are parasites and this not by choice, should they also be destroyed. ? I also cited medical studies that show and confirm fetuses feel pain and which contradicts your cold hearted and murderous theories. The only timed abortion is needed is in cases of rape, incest or when the mothers life is in danger otherwise, and I will repeat it, its murder plain and simple.

  • @aidanjt You do not call that scientific.? Are you a doctor, my heavens you have no heart.

  • @llewellleo Why would I call creative video editing 'scientific'? And why would I heart for an organism which has yet to grow one, much less higher brain function? Do you pine for all the poor corona viruses you mass murdered blowing onto a tissue? I wonder if the extent of your hypocrisy extends to stuffing your face with meat.

  • @aidanjt What editing, they presented a real baby being torn apart alive, no degree of humanity being shown in the process and it presented by a competent medical expert. When it comes to meat, it too has many cruelties in the industry I oppose but consuming meat I have no problem with because we are omnivores and it is natural for us to eat meat, this is in no way hypocrisy as you suggest. Im for humane treatment of animals and for slaughter to be done as painlessly as possible.

  • My wife carried an undeveloped organism once, as you call a developing child, who now is my son, damn me for caring.

  • I kept typing thoughts and deleting because though what I said was true, it sounded horrible (re: abortion). I'll skip that part. I'm an atheist, but I believe any loving, rational god would care more about unjust wars (and wars in general), poverty, and other such issues more than people of the same sex loving each other. It's totally rediculous to spend time and energy protesting gay marriage when there are so many more important things going on in the world.

  • uh, if your a christian you should know that: first off, sodom and gomorrah were two cities in the old testament that were destroyed for their wicked ways, and sexual immorality, and also sexual immorallity is interpreted as gay or the use of porn, (sexual immorality is mentioned alot in the new testament as well. and second that it is sin to kill (basic knowledge) and abortion is killing, look up the "180 movie" and watch it till the end were it speaks more about abortion.

  • it's so divisive to say "I'm this kind of Christian" and he's that, blah blah blah. I think all Christians need to join together and say, "we are all one. We are all equal. And we all believe in something that's really stupid."

  • If you define life as beginning at conception, as I and many others do, abortion is an act of violence.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Bible doesn't mention abortion directly. It does say, however, that God looks down upon people sacrificing their children and other forms of murder.

When exactly would you define the beginning of life?

  • @Jonathan1850 when the child is no longer a parasitic entity.

  • Thank you for pointing out that (to coin a phrase) Jesus is rolling in his grave.

  • @Vault87Fallout you dont need to believe in God to believe in Jesus. Jesus was a man who said things to people to stop hate. What is wrong with that? nothing.

  • @BananaCluck He's a liar though.

  • there is no god thus no jesus yay done

  • douchebag hijacking the Colbert report just get views

  • I think CHURCH and Christianity cared for poor, orphan homes were run by nons, homeless people were fed by christians, Churches even had their own hospitals and treated poor free of charge. ONCE government took over with social benefits and food stamps and housing then Church stopped doing all these things.

I actually was surprised when Ron Paul mentioned it in one of the debates when asked about who's gonna pay for uninsured dying. Ron Paul said. well the church did, so Ron Paul gets my vote.

  • @snowonweb thats real sweet that you believe that. but look at the true history of mother theresa for example...........a horrific woman who caused terrible suffering to people, look at the history past and current of religions conning people out of money!!

  • @jjcrazi Yes Church goes both ways, but at least church is begging for money while government demands money from you and puts u to jail if u dont pay up. I rather go with church. If I want to share i will go to church and donate but gov't don't force me to feed the poor. Oh and I am not republican, nor democrat, Actually I would say more democrat than republican but both parties are corrupted and have skewed view.

  • @snowonweb I'm not American so i don't really care which way you vote (thats not mean just a fact). religious people don't have the upperhand when it comes to doing good deeds & donating $ (i don't have to believe in god or go to church to do those things, i do it because it's the right thing to do and it makes me feel good.but again, who cares as long as good deeds are being done. The government usually asks for taxes so as to fund things (schools, infrastructure) but why does god need money?

  • no matter what you believe...abortion is wrong unless rape incest and life of mother........be responsible and take care a yo kid!!!

  • @sammyjs1983

    That's an opinion, not an objective fact. You can say "no matter what you believe", but it doesn't make it so. For example;

"Vanilla ice cream is better, no matter what you believe"

"Oh yeah, well chocolate mint ice cream is WAY better, no matter what you believe"

  • it is because religion is actually amoral. in the sense that u r told not to think about morality, but instead to do what someone else tells u is moral. huge difference. its morality for ppl who dont give a shit about morality. at best.

  • I stoped watching your videos when I saw this one.......

  • To answer your final question, it is because religion is just a mask for people to throw up their beliefs without needing to support them. People have gotten so used to this fact, that they have forgotten how to actually analyze a persons claim on his religion. With defined religions, you can typically point out flaws in what the person believes and what the religion's belief is. But people don't, because everyone thinks they have their own "interpretation".

  • Neither, because neither one affects 'him personally' (Our Father's Kingdom). That's kinda how the government is approving gay marriage: 'I'm not gay and don't want to invest in your "devotion to gayness" (a path of destruction), but--since you're not making any lasting contribution to the nation either way--we might as well take whatever money we can get off`n ya (before you burn forever >:-)) )!'

  • Anyone who is more concerned with gays than with ending wars do not give a crap about the gospels.

  • Lol good thing I'm an atheist, it's actually easier to be right wing now that I don't have to answer questions about god and jesus all the time. Although I kinda lean libertarian.

  • I'm an atheist.

  • Part 4--Most churches have simply looked the other way as members divorced and remarried (adultery, except when a partner has engaged in extra-marital sex), or co-habitated with a single partner or engaged in many affairs (fornication, also a sin according to the Bible). If churches were as condemning of the adulterous life-style as they are of the homosexual life-style (a Biblical command) their membership would drop dramatically. Time for them to walk the walk and not just talk the talk.

  • Part 3--Those who claim authority from the Bible to condemn the "homosexual life-style" would do well to look seriously at how many of their fellow church members are involved in an "adulterous life-style." One article stated: "We cannot very well argue for the sanctity of marriage as a crucial social institution while we blithely go about divorcing and approving of remarriage at a rate that destabilizes marriage."

  • Part 2--In Malachi we read "I hate divorce" saith the Lord God of Israel. The 7th Commandment handed down by God reads: Thou shalt not commit adultery. And Jesus clearly defined adultery just so there would be no confusion. I reviewed several articles about the rate of divorce in America. Some claim divorce among believers and non-believers is roughly the same...about 38%. One study claimed the following...Jews 30%, born-again Christians 27%, other Christians 24%, Atheists/Agnostics 21%.

  • Part 1...I heard a Southern Baptist leader say something to this effect a few months ago: Instead of this constant focus by so many Christian churches on the notion that recognition of gay unions will somehow subvert and destroy the institution of marriage and the moral fabric of America, I think Christians of all denominations need to spend some time focusing on the other marriage crisis in America--the epidemic of divorce and the utter destruction it is causing to the American family.

  • god isnt real lol

  • As for LV's second question: I think the main reason is that legal abortion and homosexual unions are things they've been taught are wrong, so they don't know how to accept these as being right. It was the same with the termination of slavery in pre-20th century America and the civil rights movement that occurred afterwards. The conservative cultures of those times responded in similar ways to the way said culture responds to homosexuality and abortion today.

  • I think some of you are not quite answering LV's question. It's not whether Jesus wanted to completely halt one or not, it's which one he cared about MORE. I have yet to count 2,000 times that Jesus states opposition to homosexuality or abortion, so I don't think those two issues concerned Him nearly as much (and yes, both did exist during His time, and some people were well aware of them).

  • I don't think he mentioned gay marriage. He did mention preservation of life. Be it poor or unborn.

  • @SquirrelGoneBananas "I Agree" With the last line of your comment. I belive that its about relationships. A personal relationshiip with our Creator through Christ and accepting the Holy Spirit into ones heart. Thats when one becomes a light to the world.

    Peace be with you all...

  • "Right wing christian" seems pretty much like a contradiction in itself...

  • and your point is??? your question should be AM I SAVED? ask JESUS if you don't know the answer. if you hear HIS response, then you can ask HIM everything you need to know. if you don't hear HIM, that means that you'll have to wait until you do, because HE always answers, only we are deaf to HIS voice.

  • Live - Love - Die... I keep the ideology of faith out of my life, and the understanding of God as my foundation. I know there is a God, and I live to do my best, because He/She/It/Both/All (hence we say God) made me to be just that.. THE BEST THAT I CAN BE...

As far as a book, or a church.. do not waste my time.. Churches = the congregation of ideology and the conversion of free will to subjugation... (sorry to offend, just my opinion)

The truth is out there, we just have no idea where it is!

  • Comment removed

  • @DRAT311 I believe what I believe becouse conception = an innocent life not subject to the age of accountability. Peace be with you all.

  • The Bible does write about abortion. "Thou shall not kill"

  • @Seekingthetruth100 Then you're against the death penalty, the right own guns, and having a military?

  • @Seekingthetruth100

Then why does it command one to commit genocide? It also tells one to force abortions on another. Having an abortion is never a good thing considering but there's a difference between being forced an doing so of your free will.

  • holy shit, lighten up people

  • I am an american christian. Raised on the gulf in Texas, where everyone has an opinion about something and then use the bible as an excuse. It hurts to think that these are the people you think about when you hear "christian" I dont get why you dont think about the youth pastor, who wants to get that kid ooff drugs, or the little girl who donates all of her old toys and clothing, so she knows at least one child, is warm and safe.

  • @aussiegrl12 My youth pastor smoked tons of weed. He and I volunteered as surgical techs at the local hospital one year. Your idea that drugs and helping can't be related are pretty wrong...

  • @mavriksfan11 im sorry, did i somehow imply that drugs= totally bad things? the girl thats on drugs im talking about, isnt weed. shes almost died 2 times, and her family has abandoned her.

  • I'm sorry to see you politicize these serious issues by framing them around such a false and misleading choice. There is no either/or here. Abortion in Jesus' day was not the crass, government sanctioned, industrial sized business that it is today. It is a human rights issue that this country will one day have to deal with - as we did with slavery. Gay rights can and should be protected in the civil courts. But proposed gay unions cannot be sanctified by any church. Nor should they be.

  • @TeliVision1000 Why can't they be sanctified by a church? If my church believes that Old Testament laws don't apply any more and that gay marriage is as sinful as tattoos or wearing two linen blend shirts then why can't they sanctify a gay marriage? Why are they not allowed the right to believe what they want to?

  • @mavriksfan11 Sanctification is not achieved by ballot. It is bestowed by God as a way of blessing those commitments and actions that free us from the slavery of our primal instincts and orientate us toward our higher nature. Gay union, intrinsically, cannot be viewed in such a light. Not in the past. Not now. Not ever. It is a denial of the essential and blessed sanctity of marriage, a weak and woeful imitation. Time we all faced facts. 'A' does not equal 'B'. No matter anyone's opinion.

  • @TeliVision1000

So... I take it that every message of misogyny and slavery in the bible being ignored in modern day is some how... different? And just a little tip: not everyone is of YOUR RELIGION. Since marriage has been a state recognized union, it's changed from "A" to "A1" to "A2" to "A3". Also the simple fact that it is a state recognized union and two atheist can get married with the same rights, i think the 1st amendment is asking you to kindly leave the premise of others lives. kthxbai

  • @1032974b Your thinking is biased and sloppy. If the state wants to recognize and protect gay unions, let them - and let them call them gay unions, not marriage. Even a child can see the distinction - and the attempt at distortion. Marriage has always been characterized by an openness to the other and to procreation - not turned inward on itself. Homosexuality is NOT the same as heterosexuality. Throwing in some nonsense about OT blah, blah, blah, and your little 'tip' is totally off topic.

  • @TeliVision1000 In this country there is a separation of Church and State. Let's keep it that way. You refer to MY religion. For all you know, I could be an atheist.Nevertheless, a Church should not be pressured to do what it cannot possibly do, i.e. pronounce as sanctified that which it has good reason to consider a disordered lifestyle or condition. It's really that simple, isn't it? It is nature threw the dice, and A is not B. Homosexuality is NOT some 'A1' form of heterosexuality. Crazy.

  • @TeliVision1000

Huh. My thinking is biased and sloppy. That's funny because you seem to have a misunderstanding of the concept of modern marriage. Let me fix that for you. Maybe you skimmed over my initial response, but a marriage *has to be* recognized *by the state* to obtain the 1000+ rights that come with it. The church has no say in this besides the ceremony, and that is why I made reference to the separation of church and state.

  • @1032974b I didn't skim over your sad, mistaken understanding of the legal construct of 'modern' marriage. I only found it categorically false, propagandist and misleading. You are motivated by an inner rage - perhaps directed against yourself - that compels you to lash out at others indiscriminately and irrationally. I will say again that gay union is NOT synonymous with heterosexual marriage - no more than homosexuality is synonymous with heterosexuality. I defy you to find fault with that...

  • @TeliVision1000

We don't live in pre-stonewall era where homosexuality is considered a mental disorder, and as far as I know it, us gay couples have that "unconditional love" concept that everyone connects with marriage down pretty well. I could care less whether or not a church thinks that we live a "disordered lifestyle", because whether or not you like it, 2 men that love each other enough/ to want to spend the rest of their life with each other deserve same protection given to straight...

  • @1032974b You deserve, and I agree with you, every civil right that is afforded every heterosexual couple willing to commit to marriage. By why struggle with yourself to equate your distinctly different union with theirs? We are talking here primarily of the monetary benefits - and penalties - that accrue to married couples. You should have every one of them. But you can't call a dog a cat, or a cat a dog, just because they;re both household pets.

  • @TeliVision1000

couples because everyone with a lick of common sense will tell you a simple, inexhaustible fact of modern marriage is procreation=/=marriage marriage=/=procreation. Marriage is not always "OH YEAH, TIME TO LOAD THE BABY CANNON". Some are infertile, some just want to wait to have kids, some don't even want kids. Now I don't know if you exist in some sort of awful time period or third-world country where it is absolutely vital that every functioning genitalia has to be in use...

  • @TeliVision1000

...to keep the human race alive but where I live, adoption is a completely viable way of having a family. And I'm pretty sure some of those ~556000 kids up for adoption who can "see the distinction" will appreciate a loving home with loving parents, regardless of their gender. Oh gosh, I'm sorry to burst your little bubble, but there actually gay couples WITH KIDS. Oh and get this, wacky concept, most of them are happy.

  • @1032974b Most of them are happy? Would you have been? Is this the kind of loving familial relationship you would have chosen to be raised in? As bad as your reality may have been, and as harmful as many heterosexual marriages are to kids, do you honestly think that by adding another obstacle to relationships already flawed, the outcome would be better - below the surface and all appearances. Of course gays can raise children. So did nuns and priests in orphanages. Is this what we really want?

  • @TeliVision1000 Now on to the topic of homo isn't hetero. How wonderful, you have discovered differences. Maybe your next post you'll discover that these differences mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING outside of the context of religion. P.S. Let your Jewish/Christian/Muslim friends know that this hiding behind the very transparent veil of "I could an Atheist" noise doesn't really work when one of your primary arguments is the God Card (Check your original post bro/ma'am).

  • @1032974b I'm not sure what you're saying here. You see NO difference between homo and hetero sexual love and union? I bid you look more closely.

If you knew the first thing about evolution, the so-called Neo Darwinian synthesis, you would understand plenty clearly and quickly that there are many modern areas of study outside of religion that would find this reality less than desirable for the continuation of our race. Morality aside, real or imagined, you can't equate marriage with gay union

  • @TeliVision1000 The only argument thus far that has been presented is that of a religious influence, and the first amendment says that there shall be no law favoring a religion, I'm going to ask you again. This time a little more bluntly as to drive the idea home.

  • @1032974b I have not once mentioned religion as the reason why classifying gay unions as 'marriage' is legally a huge mistake. I HAVE indicated that separation of church and state should allow whatever religion, all protected by our constitution, to reject gay union as identical to marriage. I have simply stated that heterosexuality is objectively distinct from homosexuality, and that the lines, and the reality, cannot be legally, or even rationally, blurred or fused. Rant on if you must.

  • @1032974b Again, you misrepresent my entire argument. My stand is not a religious one. It is an ontological one. I'd like to say it is a metaphysical one, but in truth it is more a deep down physical one..

Homosexuality stands in utter contradistinction to heterosexuality - by its very nature: the nuts and bolts of it.

The two stand in apposition. You can't equate one with the other. Nor can you equate any official bond that may unite the two. Gay union cannot be classified as marriage.

  • @TeliVision1000 KEEP YOUR 4000 YEAR OLD BOOK OF MYTHOLOGY AND OUTDATED MORALS, MANY OF WHICH YOU LOOK PAST BECAUSE PROGRESS IN SOCIETY HAS TAUGHT YOU OTHERWISE OUT. OF. MY. LIFE. KEEP YOUR ASSHOLE, TRIGGERHAPPY GOD WITH HIS HIPPY SON WHO MADE PEOPLE LEAVE THEIR FAMILIES FOR A BULLSHIT FUCKING ZOMBIE MAGIC TRICK OUT. OF. MY LIFE.

  • @TeliVision1000

KEEP YOUR PRIESTS WHO DAMN A WHOLE GROUP OF PEOPLE BECAUSE THEIR 20X OVER TRANSLATED BOOK TELLS THEM TO OUT. OF. MY. LIFE. KEEP YOUR DISGUSTING BRAND OF CLOAKED "LOVE THE SINNER, HATE THE SIN" HATE OUT. OF. MY. LIFE. I AM NOT OF YOUR RELIGION. WE DO NOT SHARE THE SAME MORALS. THERE IS NO FUCKING REASON GAYS ARE IMMORAL TO YOU BESIDES LEVITICUS 18:22 AND SOME OTHER BULLSHIT PARABLE. YOU CAN HAVE YOUR RELIGION, BUT KEEP IT OUT OF MY FUCKING LIFE.

  • @1032974b You don't have to undergo a complete meltdown for all the world to see, do you? Please get some help - and soon.

I have never alluded to a single scripture, never once said homosexuals should not be assured human rights in civil unions, never said a biased word against the biologically conditioned reality they face.

I have only said their desire for legal protection is valid - but legally - distinct and separate.

Should less than 5% of the worlds population rule the rest of us? No.

  • @1032974b Again, and I see you are raging out of control here, I've never mentioned morality, or OT attitudes, or religion as a reason to keep gay union, which can - and should be - institutionalized and protected by the state, distinct from 'marriage'. The two forms of commitment are distinct and separate - intrinsically. Acknowledge tha,t instead of pretending otherwise.

  • @TeliVision1000

I don't even know why I argue with you people anymore. You probably won't read all of the comments, and you'll stumble upon another pro-gay video and post the same fricken thing. You and those who want dominion over other peoples lives should be everything moderately religious should want to separate from themselves. You people are fucking tumors who won't stop until you've spread to everyone else even if they don't subscribe to your belief set. Your kind make my organs hurt.

  • @1032974b You haven't read a single word I've actually said, just distorted it through the darkened prism of your own cognitive biases. You, my friend, are the fundamentalist propagandist on this site - not me. Again, I have supported civil rights for gays in every post. I have never denied the reality of biologically rooted sexual diversity. I have only said that heterosexual marriage is demonstrably distinct from gay union, and the two would be best served by that legal recognized distinction.

  • @TeliVision1000

Alright, look. Every single time there is an anti gay marriage comment, it is always always always a fundamentalist who feels that the 1000+ plus rights are just for hetero couples. I've seen my fair share of people with this view, not just on YT but in real life. I live in a place with a conservative majority and I am dead sick of it. I was being presumptuous and I apologize for that. Understand though, that with civil unions there is no financial securities, and less than,,,

  • @1032974b

1/8 of the rights given to hetero couples. I'm afraid that I could be denied things that keep a roof over my head, I'm afraid that if my partner is in the hospital I could be denied visitation rights, I'm just scared for the future. And if the word "married" is what you are against, cool, call it a Miso Soup Union for all I care. The reason why I expressed such frustration is that I honestly wouldn't be surprised if this were the 1000th thing I've heard/seen that is against people...

  • @1032974b

they have never met before. It's always a religion. Thus I hold a bit (haha) of resentment towards the usage of it to hover over how I want to live. Let me tell you, internet trolls or not, seeing/hearing someone condemn you to an eternity of suffering isn't quite the best mood lifter. As for that "prism" and "lifestyle" comment, considering the shitstorm I just made, I'm just gonna let that go. So, internet ragefest over, I apologize again, I promise I'm not always that abrasive. :D

  • @1032974b I accept your apology...and, though I don't want to sound like Bill Clinton here, I feel your pain, your anguish, and your fears. Homosexuality has been around as long as we as a species have been. I grant you, decent folk have been unfairly persecuted in the past - often violently so. But the solution is not to pretend that heterosexual marriage is the same as homosexual union. The solution is to ensure that each distinct union receives the appropriate rights that it deserves.

  • @TeliVision1000

Seeing your reasoning for why you think that what is essentially a gay marriage, shouldn't be called a marriage, I have to ask you something. Applying the same logic of, because they are different they must use another word, do you think people of different races should have use different words because being black isn't white?

Sex is just sex (sex as in sex/gender), so what if it's not the opposite sex? It's not like people using the word marriage is going to harm anyone.

  • @Kadiezi Your blunted 'reasoning' is faulty to its core - and hauntingly familiar. What do you mean 'applying the same logic'? What unknown 'logic' are you applying? You confuse race with sexuality? On what grounds? Drop the race card and talk of simple colors. Should we not use different words to distinguish black from white and red from green? Seems you'd be content to have one word describe them all. Color is just color, after all. If we stop distinguishing we might as well go extinct.

  • @TeliVision1000

No, I don't confuse race with sexuality, I was using an example. Applying the same logic that you were using (because they are different they must use another word, was what it was). I wasn't playing any card, it was an example that you didn't seem to understand correctly.

What I was getting at was, should people have to call marriage something different based on race (or any other distinguishing factor, not necessarily that "card")? If not, why should you based on sex?

  • @1032974b I know why you don't want to argue with reason any longer - because you can't.

    Because you always lose.

I'm not surprised your organs hurt. It's due to your peculiar life style, not my rational positions.

I want dominion over no one's life. I'm just tired of them attempting to force dominion over me.

  • NOoooo, I am NOT for the REPUBLICANS.. I despise all them.. Shoot, i hate all POLITICIANS....

  • unfortnately, gays are mentioned in the bible...

  • @durelino Yeah, but not by Jesus himself. To my knowlegde, and yes, I have read the Bible, they are mostly mentioned in the Old Testament. By a guy who thinks that disobiedient children should be stoned to death.

  • Jesus cares about the poor... That's all... STOP enforcing our Chrstian belifes on to other people it's WRONG & SINFUL.

  • I am a Christian, but not an American Christian. What I mean is I'm tolerant of Gays Marring and aboration being law. Personally, I believe that Gay Marriage is wrong, but what I believe is different from what someone eles believes. It is wrong & unchristian to enforce our belfies on others. In the bible, Peter clearly writes to be tolerant of other people's belifes, loving even if you what they're doing is wrong. The American Christian thinks that eveyone eles is foolish when really they are.

  • @ssohood2011 Can I ask what is wrong about being gay?

  • @DrinkSkateSleep "Leviticus: 20:13 If a man has sex with another man, kill them both."

I'm not making a statement of what I believe, that's just a verse in the bible. So if you are a Christian and follow the bible, in theory you should be against homosexuality.

  • @gourdo126 Leviticus 19:19 - 'Keep my decrees: Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material."

I'm not making a statement of what I believe, that's just a verse in the Bible. So, if you are Christian and follow the Bible, in theory, you should be against wearing underwear.

  • @Padmepotter4986 That's why I am a freeballer.

  • @Padmepotter4986 Well God does promote Rape and Slavery a lot in the Old Testament so telling them to wear less clothing doesn't seem too out of the blue.

  • @Padmepotter4986 i had this argument with one of my cousins on leviticus as achristian you cant pick and choose what you believe if the new testament says christians who are gentiles have nothing to do with the law of moses then i dont understand why we give it that mind of day, leviticus should just be looke at for historical view, this is how freed slaves had to behave in the desert 3,000 years ago. done.

  • I am not Christian but what the verse says is "Leviticus: 20:13 ‘If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.' Harsh Yes but what it is trying to say is that any action like that is punishable by Death. However Christians Believe any Sin is punishable by Death. So it's wrong looking at that in a One-Sided Manner & Yes it's Wrong to have Cheat on your Wife.

  • @ssohood2011 of course it's christian to enforce your beliefs on others!! thankfully religious persecution when out when the enlightenment came in!

  • @ssohood2011 thank you for truly stating the reality of christianity. sadly here in the united states christians tend to believe that their tenants should be law, much as in the middle east muslims often (surely not always) do the same. they all tend to miss the point that you should not condemn another group because of their practices. the problem is that in both christianity and islam proselytizing tends to be very important, so once people get into power they have a tendency to push people.

  • @ssohood2011

lol. so as the gays come out of the closet, your religion goes in? HAHA! what happened to going out there and preaching the gospel? looks like you guys had to retreat and go with the flow. what happened to your Matthew 10:22? looks like someone's going to hell.....o.o...

also, while 31 people thumbed you cause you seem tolerant i got something on you. in the first line you obviously show that you frown on america and its christians. Iono where you're from, but AMERICA RULES.

  • @factionxvt408x I not Christian... I clearly sate that in my Comment. It's in the First Sentence. & Oh... Wait... your talking about my Comment before that... From 2 Months ago, lol

Yeah that's not me, although it's my Account, that's just one of my Dumbass Friends who's barely Christian. Look at the Time of the Comments. I typed I'm not Christian 2 weeks ago. My Friend typed in he is a Tolerant Christan 2 Months ago. Thanks for asking, I ssohood2011 am not Christian, I'm an ATHEIST...

  • @ssohood2011

I see. Well then, good day to you sir. I was getting excited because I thought we would have something to discuss..although since it was not your views I replied to, I guess we don't.

  • @factionxvt408x Fair Enough... Although he made some Points... & I do agree with some of it I guess... Well then it was not my Comment so I should not take Responsibility of Such Text...Cheerio

Oh Yeah that was me by the way... RICK ROLLED 33 Votes Bitch

  • Sad

  • On adverage children are adopted at infint. Sure we can abort the baby just hear abortion more the adopt . There i like that there are more then one option. Of course everything is done on a case by case bases. Dont get me wrong i belive rapest should be raped then killed, abusive parients should be broken as they do there kids.

  • Thou shall not kill....dummy

  • the reason the republicans bring up homosexuality and abortion id because the democrats bring up war and poverty. that's the reason America has multiple parties not just one. the two groups bring topics that they think are important and the american citizens vote for the side that they believe will solve the more important problem.

  • ending war and poverty is so much more important than worrying about abortion and homosexuality. due to the fact that im not exposed to radical misguided right wing groups at all (except from their misadventures that are regularly publicized on tv) I can easily say that I am exposed more to the former idea than the latter. I'd say that the vatican would focus more so on the issues of war and poverty than homosexuality and abortion, but the media doesnt pay as much attention to the less radical

  • The fact you are asking a book that has not been around is funny to me. It had been altred several times for the churchs greed. Under the idea of homosexualitet what is your opion on it? Me i see no problem with it. Abortion personal i see no need there are people who are looking to adopt. But Its the womans chose.

  • @fiveofnin i totally agree, but want to add, imo, lots of children need adopting but aren't being adopted, there are also a lot of children suffering in the world today.i dont like the whole "its a womans choice"term b/c it sounds like women do it for convinence only, which some do&hopefully learn from their mistakes(i know some dont but karma will handle them)sometimes abortions are a neccissary evil.if a woman knows she is an uncapable mother,is early abortion worse than lifetime of abuse?

  • @fiveofnin also "womens choice" takes the involvment & responsibility away from the man. some women "choose" to have an abortion b/c of the situation w/the man, what if she accidentally got pregnant by an abusive man, the battered womens shelters are over full today.if a woman is raised by an abusive father&mother is it just her fault that she's afraid to parent, esp. if she didn't get pregnant by a supportive man? then there are the rape victims who get pregnant, there are not enough adopters.

  • I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ. - Gandhi

  • @overtsc The so-called Christian nation hates helping the poor and wants to watch the elderly starve. Jesus would be so happy with the Grand Ol' Party

  • @overtsc Amen

  • @overtsc He didn't say that, but good work anyhow I guess.

  • Did God speak about homosexuality / sex out of wed lock / sexual immorality?

    Yes

    Genesis 18:20

Then the LORD said, “The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so great and their sin so grievous

What sin was God speaking of when He says this sin is "So Grievous"

Gen 19:4-5 (4 ...all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. 5 They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.”)

    Read

  • Did God speak about abortion?

God says in Exodus 20:13 "You shall not murder" and again in Deuteronomy 5:17 "You shall not murder"

Murder is defined as an act "to kill or slaughter inhumanly or barbarously" (Gosnell-look it up)

Since we have determined life begins at conception, then God did speak about abortion when He commanded us Not to Murder.

95% of all abortions are chosen as a method of birth control, I guess we have ignored what God has said about abortion. How foolish can we be.

  • @michaelshane0612 You determine life beginning at conception. The Jews determine life beginning at birth. Who should we believe.

  • Did God speak about abortion?

You must 1st determine when Life Begins.

5-6 weeks after conception the pre-born is metabolizing nutrition, excreting waste, moving, sucking their thumb, growing, & doing many other things that non-living things just do not do

21 days after conception, the baby’s heart has begun to beat their own unique blood-type, often different than the mother’s

40 days after conception, brain waves can be read on an EEG

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you Jer 1:5

  • i dont think abortion was available to the general population of jesus' time... that's why it isnt mentioned. not that i give a fuck

  • Abortion is a new issue. Poverty is not. And on a further note, I believe he cared about them equally, as he does all the problems in the world. All sin is the same, lieing is as bad as being gay and thats as bad as not caring about the poor.

  • @ScabiousGarde I will dismiss your extremely offensive comment about how being gay is a sin and focus on your statement "Abortion is a new issue.". The bible is timeless, if the church has any views on new issues that pop up it dismisses the the "fact" that the bible is timeless... the bible is god's word and god is omniscient therefore the bible should talk about every major issue that will ever come up.

  • @Legendary33284 First off, being gay is a sin. Second, that's what I believe, but was just talking about how abortion is mention zero times and the poor are mention 2,000. I'm saying all sin is equal. I don't disriminate against gays because I'm not perfect either.

  • @ScabiousGarde Abortion is a new issue? "The first recorded evidence of induced abortion, is from the Egyptian Ebers Papyrus in 1550 BCE"Wikipedia. If this was a sin jesus would have said so.

  • @iwantmedibud I didn't know that, although it doesn't come from the most credible source, wikipedia. So that may or may not be true, but it's still nice to know.

  • @ScabiousGarde So, stealing a piece of bread is as bad as brutally murdering someone?

  • @laura195116 Yes. It's not that murder is better, it's that thieving is worse. Everything is equal.

  • @ScabiousGarde Everything is not equal, there is gradation. If I tell a lie that doesn't make me as bad as Hitler. Don't you take the amount of suffering caused into account?

  • @laura195116 We are all born into sin. Sin is like a INCREDIBLY (caps for effect) deadly poison, and it doesn't matter how much you take into you, you will still die from it. The Bible tells us that God looks upon all sin equaly. The cure to this poison is Christ, but that's a bit more info than you asked for. Human suffering is awful, I don't refute that, although nothing really mattters in this life.

  • If a perfectly healthy baby can be destroyed before birth, why not eliminate the physically and mentally defective children after birth? Why not eliminate people if they have the wrong skin color. Why not get rid of old people who are past they usefulness? Sex is for fun. It has little to do with reproduction. That's way there is homosexuality, it is fun to those people. Most people should be sterilized at birth. Maybe I should have been one of them. Maybe you should have also.

  • I love how everyone is not being bitchy and arguing with each other on the comments board for ONCE!

  • Jesus cared more about helpping those in need. the last shall be first and the first shall be last.

  • As a left-wing Christian, I can tell you there's a simple answer to the second question: because they're right-wingers. I don't think there's a problem with letting your faith inform your politics, but a lot of people let their politics inform their faith, and it creates a sort of moral feedback loop, if you will. Many of my fellow Christians are shocked that I often vote Democrat, but I try to look at all the issues, not just abortion.

  • I believe a sad truth that many Christians hold true to the harsher words of the old testament in terms of justice. And though it is a bit of a personal perspective most reform Jews I have met are very socially liberal: pro-choice, pro gay marriage, and at times quite charitable. It does make me wonder what separates these groups when apparently they are working from the same book so to speak. What are your thoughts?

  • @Raditz86 Very interesting points. I said in an other comment how I grew up with fundamentialist Christians who were so insistant that Jesus was perfection, and everything he said was law, and yet believed gays were going to hell (even if they were Christian gays) or that Catholics were demonic, and even the way a woman dressed could send her to hell that they made Christianity seem to me a really bad lifestyle choice.

They also believed Jesus was blonde and blue-eyed....

  • @Trund27 I think you'll agree that the Bible has a lot of depth to it. A woman came to Jesus, and said "If I can just touch his Hem, I will be whole" Hem in Hebrew Numerical Value is 613, there are 613 laws in Christianity. It's common for Christians to take the Bible literally, and think this = hell and this = heaven.

The Bible states over and over that Jesus saved us, not by what we do "lest any man should boast", therefore if we are not saved by works, we are not damned by them.

  • @Synicade Interesting points. Thank you.

  • Because they are not religious because they care about others. They are religious because they are not smart enough to understand that not everyone is exactly the same and so they use religion to hate on people. Most people have not read the Bible. The Bible is like a software license to them. They just scroll down to the bottom and click "I Agree"
