Yes, some chains would help and too the back end is too light.
Some big sticks of wood helps me out in the winter and I have been known to wrap some cinder blocks up in old blankets too to put some weight in the back end.
DUDE, let off of the gas petal.....Slow and steady wins the race....had it been in 4low and just let her walk up that hill packing snow as it went it would have went so much easier.
Spinning tires just throw snow untill you hit dirt to get traction.
@heyitstheo47 ITS ACTUALLY A DUAL EXHAUST FROM BORLA... SOMEONE MAKING FART CAN COMMENTS SHOULD KNOW THE DIFFERENCE WHEN THERE SHIT SOUNDS THE SAME.... HERES AN IDEA PUT A V8 IN YOUR WRANGLER AND THEN PUT SOME SOUND CLIPS OF THAT UP BECAUSE ALL V6/I6/I4 MOTORS WILL NEVER SOUND GOOD
@MrSystane The 3.8L has more HP and torque at high RPM. The 4.0L was a torque monster at low RPM, which made it very good off road. I had a 2003 TJ (4.0L) and test drove a 2010 with the 3.8L. I waited for the 2012 with the Pentastar option, and I'm glad I did.
Hey I saw you have a snorkel, do they ever get water in them if you hit a puddle on a road going to fast or if you drive in to heavy of rain or something? cause I was thinking about getting one for my 89 yj
@SkiDooFan9 no water ever gets in, its litterally water proof as long as you use some minor rtv or any silicone sealant at the connections for the filter....
@TheJeepWheeler What gives better traction, snow or ground? Obviously ground. When you lower your pressure you are give the tire in essence a higher ability to stay on top of the snow. When you raise the psi it enables the tire to dip through the snow and get contact with the ground. Now, if you have 2 or more feet then it's better to float than dig down and start pushing snow..
bbbuuuut what do YOU think is on the ground??? SNOW. its not gonna be snow free completely. iv driven around town on 4 inches of snow on iced over blacktop at 5 lbs and cruising by other jeeps and 4x4s that werent aired down. explaining somthing to try and make sense out of it doesnt always work man. real life experiences do.
@TheJeepWheeler This may sound like bs but this was a real test i performed. Both of my parents have a toyota yaris with the exact same tires. I had the car with low psi and my father in the correct psi and he went a good 12-15 feet farther than me. He dug down to the gravel while i didn't. Hows that for real life?
dude im talking about snow wheeling, not trying to make it to the grocery store in your mommy and daddys car. step one GET YOUR OWN TRUCK, step two, FIND MORE THAN 1 FOOT OF SNOW ON THE GROND AND TELL ME AIRING DOWN DOESNT WORK BETTER IN DEEPER SNOW THAN HARD TIRES.
@TheJeepWheeler LOL Jesus calm down. I have driven a 4X4 in somewhere close to 20 inches with road tires on stock pressure, and guess what, it drove like a charm. But in any case that has nothing to do with my argument. What i said before this is 100% solid proof its better. Btw you know when you run them at 15psi or lower, your actually reducing the footprint, right? Extra bit of info i thought id throw in since apparently it takes a lot to convince you, i'm a tire tech, i know my stuff.
@TheJeepWheeler Let me also add that you will get a ton of heat build up at those pressures, and increase the possibility of tire and rim damage. The bigger the foot print the more snow has to be pushed to which obviously slows you down. Also i'll add this, and i hope it makes sense. With the weight and over all tire size the car manufactures determine what the best psi is for that car. Heres the hard part. There must be a certain amount of weight on a certain amount of tire foot print if there
@TheJeepWheeler is to little then the tire can't grab the surface as well, and if to much then it's harmful for the tire. Btw ill put this out there for you and anyone else that may not know because i see it A LOT. NEVER run the max psi the tire says it can hold! That has absolutely nothing to do with what psi your car should have. If your car says 32psi then idc what the sidewall says even if its 85psi run what the car calls for. Like i said before it gives the overall best grip and breaking!
@TheJeepWheeler there honestly is no such thing as a good snow tire, im not gonna argue with you about that we all have different experiences and mine make me believe that any A/T tires are made for the road and any M/T tire is made for off road be it in snow, mud, or sand.... last time i checked they came out with a M/T because A/T tires sucked
@6202007 My Jeep is pretty much stock, the only thing I have upgraded are the tires and bumpers, I have a video of me putting the right tire on the middle of a car hood and a couple others of me mudding lol
nice video and awesome Jeep, what size lift and tires and what kind of exhaust, I like that sound
does every jeep has to be modified even alittle bit to do any kind off roading, because thats what it looks like on every video all the off roading jeeps have some sort of modification.
@6202007 Jeeps are just really easy to mod; lots of suppliers with lots of R&D dollars :) But to your Q: search "stock rubicon offroad" some cool clips.
i dont who said it but i think the inline 6 sounds sexy as hell lol

@bigceej86 The 3.8L V6 has more power than the older 4.0L TJ. Slightly more HP and torque.
