For anybody that really wants to eavesdrop on cell phone conversations try this: If you can still find an old television set that has an old-style thumb tuner and that old tv set has a uhf and vhf tuner, just tune up and down the band. I guarantee you will tune into some cell phone conversations. The problem I found is that the signal has a tendency to drift, so you constantly have to adjust the tuner.

Here's how you can actually intercept cell phone calls-- First, get a scanner that can pick up 800-900 Mhz range. Second, build a time machine. Third, take above said scanner back in time about 15 yrs. Last, scan the 800-900 Mhz range for unencrypted analog cell signals (you can also pick up cordless home phones on the 44-47 Mhz range).

While you;re there, pick me up a few cases of OK Soda and some Microsoft stock. And warn the people about reality TV and shows like American Idol.

2. Cell signals are digital and encrypted.

3. The speaker only broadcasts what its connected to.
